It took forever to install. Didn't work when I moved in to new house. Called they sent out a young man who seemed lost had a hard time finding the slot for the filter. Changed it and left. Still wasn't Cooling. Called back, took a couple calls because they were not returning my phone calls. Finally come out, they put refrigerant in and spray off unit with my waterhose and water for about 5mins if that. They sent a bill for $330 to put refrigerant in the brand new unit and spraying off the units with my hose. When disputed bill they took off refrigerant and still want to charge me $130 for them spraying off of the units. I don't think any of my experience has been good with them and would not recommend to anyone. Use OneHour Heating and Cooling or anyone else. These people aren't worried about us, they are just concerned with high billing and quick turn over. Not happy!

My a/c unit seemed to be underperforming in the recent heat. Miami came out and inspected it and said everything looked good. They did not try to sell me something I did not need. The technician reminded me to change the furnace filter for performance improvement. I took his advice and it did help.

Miami Heating and Cooling just performed my spring AC maintenance as part of my maintenance contract. They are very professional and honest. They make no attempt to sell you or replace anything you don't need (unlike some other companies). They are great about giving you some "heads up" on any future longer term issues based upon age of your system etc but dont try and up sell or coerce you into doing anything that is not necessary. Their techs are very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Their overall customer service is top notch. If you are on a plan in particular, they contact you to set up your appointments preseason, than verify a week or so before and than day before. Day of you get an email notice and than the tech contacts you prior to arriving. You than get another email with the techs name and photo for verification. When your work is completed you get an instant invoice (maintenance plan or not just for your own record). I have used other HVAC companies but Miami is clearly the most professional and honest we have worked with. Don't go to anyone else.

I just used Miami Heating and Cooling for a routine maintenance on my Gas Furnace. I traded a few emails with the owner Joe Sackenheim, and after getting the information I needed regarding an annual HVAC maintenance agreement spoke with him via phone. Joe was very friendly, courteous and set us up the next day for our service. His tech arrived bright and early, was very professional and thorough and even resolved a problem with the furnace that occurred just a few hours previous that morning. He took the time to explain the maintenance work and make any recommendations. Overall it was a great experience. Further, I got a call from their office that afternoon just to followup and make sure that I was happy and everything was working well. Very professional company and group of people. Highly recommended! This visit included the first of 2 yearly service visits

Miami Heating and Cooling from making a $4,000 mistake by utilizing the advice and service of a big name HVAC company in the area. They used false assessment and pushy sales tactics to put me in a tough situation in a time of need (hot with no AC!). Luckily Miami Heating and Cooling came to the rescue. They were honest, thorough and gave me the best and most economical options to fix my problem right and quickly. I can't recommend this company enough for all your HVAC needs.

The work was done very well. It took several trips to complete, partially because of working during the holiday/cold season. There were two men who did most of the work, and Joe came out on two occasions to make sure everything was going smoothly. Actually, we purchased a new range hood and he installed that without additional cost. The project was completed before Christmas, which was the ultimate goal. It took a little longer to complete because of weather and some emergency situations arose (with other installations and repairs) that set the project back a little. I did have to make a call one day because there was still a portion of the project not completed and he was not aware of that and made sure the work was completed quickly. When the bill arrived, it was exactly the amount that had been proposed without any hassles or asking for money upfront or anything like that. My husband and I enjoyed dealing with Joe and his crew. Miami Heating was actually recommended to us by a friend who manages a homeless shelter in Hamilton that they have done work for. The work was quality and Joe and his employees are very professional. They also were careful to clean up daily after they were done working. Would definitely recommend.

Came home to cold house and all my attempts to get heat resulted in the furnace growling at me. The following morning, I found the listing for Miami on Angies list and called them around 9. When I called, I told them what happened and was told they could have someone out early afternoon. Neil arrived on time, properly diagnosed the furnace, got the inner blower motor replaced and got everything working fast. They did honor the 10% discount for referral from AngiesList, but the reason I knocked price to a B was I found out about the $70 service call fee after the tech was onsite, and not when when I called. Service was good and I don't mind paying it, but would have preferred to know in advance.

Joe and his guys continue to do awesome work for us. This summer, one of the a/c units wasn't working properly, so we immediately called Miami HVAC. They came out quickly, diagnosed the problem and fixed it the same day. Their prices are very competitive and we've always been happy with their work. We have them inspect our heating and cooling systems annually (in the spring and fall), and they have a special deal because we purchase both at the same time. I am always happy with the quality of their work, and I feel that we are extending the life of our HVAC systems by having them regularly maintained by Miami HVAC.

This company is wonderful! They came quite a far distance , on the same day I called. They fixed what was a pretty minor problem, and the price was more than fair. They are my new go-to HVAC company.

Miami Heating & Cooling's owner, Joe Sackenheim, came out to our house because we have bedrooms on our 2nd floor that weren't heating or cooling well. Joe arrived on time for our appointment which impressed my husband because he's not used to contractors showing up on time. He took Joe through the house and showed him our furnace and outside air conditioning unit. He was impressed with Joe's professionalism and honesty. The end result was the builders didn't put enough vents in the homes 2nd floor to properly push the air or heat through to the top floor. Joe didn't charge for his visit since there wasn't anything that he could do to help us since we weren't willing to re-route all the vents in our home. I would definitely use Miami Heating & Cooling again. They provide friendly, fast and professional service. I feel very comfortable having them come into our home and would send them to my mother's home.

In the middle of a remodling job, and a heat wave, the AC compressor would not work - it wasn a fuse, it was a mystery.Finally,Joe had to trace the wire all the way from the service panel almost to the compressor to find where it had been damaged in the remodel. He is very knowledgabe and pleasant.

We left very early on Sunday morning and when we arrived back in the afternoon we noticed the house was hot. With it being a Sunday and a holiday weekend we knew it could be hard to find someone to come out to fix it. We called one company we were familiar with who said they would call us back and set up a time for the next day (July 4th). By mid-morning on the 4th we realized they were not going to call us back. We checked Angie's list and called several companies that were close to us geographically.They were all booking for Tuesday, none wanted to come out on a holiday. We really wanted to have it fixed as we had people coming over in the afternoon. My husband called Miami Heating and was told a repairman could be out in an hour to hour and a half. He informed us up front that there would be an additional service charge due to the holiday. The service man was on time, had the parts necessary to fix the heat pump and we were enjoying the cooler house within the hour after he left.
