+ -1 moreMr. Hughes made it easy to schedule the appointment. He met us promptly at the appointed time and took detailed notes on the the features of the home and carefully measured the home (to determine square footage). The appraisal report arrived a few days later. The report was quite detailed (over 15 pages long). We offered the home for sale and shortly after, accepted an offer for the exact value indicated on Mr. Hughes appraisal. When the buyer applied for a loan and the banks appraiser valued the home; the value was lower. We asked Mr. Hughes to review the banks appraisal. He pointed out several inconsistencies between the appraisals and several key items the banks appraiser had missed. Armed with this information and the copy of the original appraisal completed by Mr. Hughes, the bank was forced to reconsidered the value and the loan went through!
Description of Work: Contacted Hughes Appraisal to complete a Real Estate Appraisal on a family home we were planning on selling. The family needed an accurate value before deciding on the asking price. We decided to use Hughes Appraisal Service because of their 25 years of experience in the Cincinnati and Dayton markets.
