Things went well. Jeff was up front about everything. His quote was spot on the actual cost, and his crew was respectful and did a nice job. There were a few minor snags along the way (like is to be expected in any major remodel), but they were always handled well and Jeff was always quick to respond to any concerns that we had. We also really like the kitchen designer that he used. Jeff is upfront that design is not his thing so he partners with great designers to get projects to look beautiful.

The workers arrived on time when they said they would. They worked steadily the entire time they were in my home .They were all courteous,professional and very good at their jobs. They always asked if I had questions,said when they would be arriving and were always on time. Their work was excellent and I was very happy with the job when it was done. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs remodeling done.

I love angieslist! I hire all of my contractors based on the reviews and have never been dissatisfied. I have been waiting to tackle my upstairs bathroom after my wedding. When Jeff told me he was booked until mid summer it didn't bother me at all. I was looking to take on this project around late August or September. I waited about 2 weeks for Jeff to come give quote. No biggie. When he arrived he was punctual and courteous. I showed him upstairs and spoke to him with detail about my intended layout of the bathroom. My fianc? spoke to him as well. He expressed understanding. Two days later we received a quote. I looked through quote and noticed it looked like it was missing a number of essential items including any plumbing and sealing off the window. It was disappointing because the bathroom is tiny and for 15,000 just for labor without moving plumbing or addressing all of my needs was a little outrageous. He also quoted 6-8 weeks. When he was here he said his company could do it all after our new roof was installed and even when I specifically asked about plumbing. It wasn't until I questioned his quote did he mention that he quoted me with keeping everything in place as it was, which is completely absurd! I understand that sometimes in home renovations unforeseen situations arise causing you to have to change your plans. But to come out and not listen to a thing I said a quote me for an incomplete job with the existing layout is beyond me. Maybe his company is so busy he feels like if he looses a few bids it doesn't matter. I'm not sure but we are going with another company who quoted us honestly and listened to our needs.

We have been wanting to redo our master bath for the last few years and decided to finally pull the trigger. This is the first time we have ever used a contractor for any home improvements and after Jeff shared his thoughts we were ready to go. Jeff and his team were very easy to work with, the quality was fantastic and we are very happy with the end result. Their professionalism and courtesy are top of line and I will be calling them on our next major project.

Jeff / Feldhaus Construction is fantastic! We consulted him after getting quotes from two other local contractors and he immediately set himself apart from the competition. Instead of taking measurement and tossing out a number, he came out, looked at the space and took measurements and then required we go see his cabinet specialist to work out a full plan before he gave us pricing information. At first this seemed a little time consuming, but boy did it pay off in the end! During this initial planning phase, we worked with Mark at W. Stephens Cabinetry (also amazing!) and came up with a detailed plan from the type of cabinets and counter tops to the exact layout of the kitchen, and all of this was done before we ever signed a contract. After our plan was finalized, Jeff came back out with Mark to make sure everything we wanted would work with our space. Once the remodel was underway, Jeff was present on a daily basis either doing the work himself or overseeing the work done by his team. He stayed in constant contact with my husband regarding permits and inspections as well as any issues he came across during the day. We saw daily progress and despite taking a bit longer than anticipated due to some tedious and time intensive electrical work courtesy of our 1937 home, Jeff made good time and always showed exceptional attention to detail. I should also comment on James, Jeff's "tile man". He was awesome!! He helped us decide on a grout color and did a superb job installing our custom tile back splash. When the focal piece did not look as we had planned, he adjusted the design and reset the tile and even came in on a Saturday to complete the finishing touches. Finally, the price. After the detailed planning process, we expected his bid to be higher than the others, but to our surprise, Jeff's bid was thousands less than either of the other quotes we received! I would very highly recommend Jeff and Feldhaus Construction and we will definitely contact him in the future for our bathroom renovations. From the outstanding service to the exceptional price, I really don't think Feldhaus Construction can be beat.

Jeff and his team did a great job! They kept us informed along the way and made good suggestions when problems came up. They went above and beyond to find parts that were missing from a shower system that we bought and were flexible when we had delays due to me ordering the wrong thing. The craftsmanship on the job was great! This was one of our first major remodeling projects, so the whole process took a little longer than expected, but that is just how projects of this size go. Good work takes time and it is worth the wait.

They did an excellent job. Everybody who had seen it loved it. They were very professional, punctual and you felt very comfortable around them. I felt like they gave me some good suggestions as we were doing the bathroom and everything. I would recommend them.

We were very impressed with the service Jeff provided. Starting with the quoting process and all the way through completion of the work, Jeff was professional, knowledgeable, and showed a genuine interest in our project - even though it was much smaller in scale and scope I'm sure compared to some of his bigger remodel projects. He never made us feel like our job was too small or not important to him. It took Jeff and his associate 6 hours to complete our work, and he stayed until my wife and I had all our questions answered and were satisfied with the work. In addition, he left the bathroom where he was working all day neat and clean upon the completion of the work. Whenever we do anything in the future in our bathroom or kitchen, Jeff and his team will be our first call.

It went great. They were very professional, and completed on time. We got several quotes for the project and Feldhaus was by far the best price. This is not their specialty, they usually do work on kitchens and bathrooms. They were more than willing to help us out even though this is not their norm. We choose them because we are planning on redoing our upstairs bathrooms next year and wanted to try a company out. We will definitely be calling them again for that project.

The service went well. It was my first time using the company. A crew of up to 3 came out and completed the job in about 3 weeks. We were on a time crunch and Jeff worked with us to get the job done. I really appreciated how accommodating they were. The staff was personable and made good suggestions. They were easy to work with and Jeff made sure to keep in contact with us. The outcome of the project turned out nicely.

After interviewing 7 contractors, Jeff Feldhaus was the clear choice for our extensive remodel. From the beginning, we were comfortable with his style, ideas, and fairness. This was our first remodeling project, and we had heard the horror stories! However, we have none of our own to share! I cannot speak highly enough of Jeff and Sean, and the entire team Jeff brought in. They are all highly skilled, and great people to have in your home. They cleaned up each day, were very responsive to our requests, and willing to give helpful ideas. As with any project in an older home, there were a few surprises along the way. However, these were all taken care of professionally, and in the end, you would never know there was an issue. Jeff and Sean worked through each challenge, talking with us about what they thought made the most sense, and took into account any feedback we had. There is no question of Jeff's integrity and commitment. His initial pricing was fair, and when a few things were added, his pricing was just as fair. He goes above and beyond to ensure you are happy (at the end of a long day, he even helped my husband cut some wood for a Pinewood Derby project!). The quality of workmanship is amazing. There were no shortcuts along the way, and in fact there were multiple instances of things being done "above and beyond" our expectations, which was not what I was expecting after hearing contractor horror stories from others (who had obviously not used Feldhaus Construction!). I have complete confidence that this project could not have gone any better. Any questions or concerns we had along the way were thoroughly explored, and Jeff made sure we were completely satisfied before he left. When I called the references Jeff gave me prior to hiring him, I found it significant how many of them were ready to start another project with Jeff (if they had not already done multiple projects!). I understand their sentiments! We already have our next project with Jeff in mind! We have also recommended him to multiple friends and family members. Jeff and his team are just great people, and it was a pleasure to work with them.

Exceeded expectations! The bathroom was in dire need remodeling and updating and we couldn't be happier with the results. Most of the bathroom involved tiling and the work was done by James "the tile guy". James is highly skilled and experienced and patiently worked with me to determine the layout design. He used his experience to make several suggestions to improve the look such as adding a tile boarder to the shower and changing out the window sill to granite to match the granite in the shower and vanity top. Everyone on Jeff's team is very friendly, professional and trustworthy. The team also did a great job of cleaning up each day. Jeff promptly responded to my calls and e-mails and kept me updated on scheduling. I would definitely hire Feldhaus Construction again and would recommend to anyone in need of a bathroom remodel.

When it came time to start our kitchen remodel, there was absolutely no question who we would hire. Feldhaus Construction remodeled our master and hallway bathrooms a couple years ago and we were blown away by the experience. For our kitchen, Jeff came out to take initial measurements and talk to us about what we were looking for. He spent time gathering all our ideas and with his ability to understand a customer?s need, was able to make suggestions that helped tie all of our ideas together. Jeff then put us back in touch with Mark Prince (W. Stephens) to help us design the space/cabinets. We met with Mark twice to discuss strategy/design/selection and everything went very smoothly. Mark and Jeff work seamlessly together, so we never had to worry about anyone dropping the ball ? they took care of everything. In fact, everyone on Jeff?s team works together like a well-oiled machine. Jeff, Sean, Rick, Ed, and Mark could rule the world if they wanted to. They are all experts in their own areas. The quality of their work is exceptional and their attention to detail is outstanding. So let?s talk about tear out and the process of getting to the finished product. No way around it, the process can be stressful. When you have to go weeks without some of your living space, especially space that you spend a vast majority of your time in, it can drive you a little mad. Jeff and his team do everything they can to remove that sense of stress. Each night, they leave the space as clean as they possibly can and provide temporary setups to get you to the next stage. They truly do treat your house like their own which means the world to every homeowner. What about unexpected issues? Believe me, nothing goes like it?s planned, especially in our house. We faced some change orders (our desire to make some changes along the way) and our home builder was less than desirable, so sloppy workmanship was uncovered and required additional attention. All of this involves extra time, scheduling and, of course, cost. Jeff and his crew took everything in stride, resourcefully addressed all problems/concerns and provided workable solutions for us. Our overall experience? Fantastic! While most companies today focus on maximizing profits, Jeff and his team still put their customers first. We highly recommend them and will always call them first for any future project.

Jeff does great work. He is so good that he's really busy. When I booked him in June he told me he was booked until September but I was willing to wait because I could tell he knew what he was talking about when he came to give me the estimate. We mostly communicated by email and he always got back with me promptly and was very professional and courteous. The project took a little over two days (I have a small kitchen!) and he has some finish work to do because not all my doors and drawer fronts were in stock so he'll be back after those come in. I highly recommend him!

There cannot be anyone better. Craftsmanship, attention to detail, timely response, flexible schedule. A pleasure to watch and speak with on a daily basis.

At the time, I had reached out to some other contractors but I felt comfortable with Jeff and felt that he was honest and would be good to work with. Some unforeseen circumstances came up that caused us to move our plans back a few months. He completely understood and told us just to contact him when we were ready. A few months later, I called him and asked if we could do the remodel in stages starting with the installing of canned lighting and the smoothing of some very ugly textured ceilings. He said it would be no problem and quickly gave us a bid which I found to be reasonable. He came out the first day with his crew and walked through the process and answered all questions that I had. The workers were very professional and very clean. The job took about 3 days and at the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves which elimated the tracking of dirt and dust throughout the rest of the house. After the job was completed, Jeff followed up to make sure that we were satified. I look forward to working with Jeff and his team to complete the rest of the remodeling in our kitchen. I would recommend him for any job."

I first called & left a message for Feldhaus on 6/5. I need a door and window on a wall removed & a patio door installed there. No response. I called and left another message 6/19. No response. Called again 6/26 (third time should be the charm, right?). A day or so later I got a message back that they "don't do this kind of work". Nice...

Jeff and his crew were very trustworthy and we had no trouble letting them into our home. He worked carefully to fix an unexpectedly uneven floor, and add proper venting that should have been installed originally. The entire project took longer than expected, but we were not in a rush and we had told him so. Now we have two very beautiful updated bathrooms. We would definitely have him do other work for us.

Jeff Feldhaus and his crew are awesome! They are professional, clean, and do amazing work! The drywall sub-contractor they use, Ed Hartkemeyer, is a third generation plasterer and has personally been in business for 50 years! His work showcases his expertise and attention to detail. I now refer to him as the "Master of Plaster". Jeff's son-in-law, Sean, did our electric, and plumbing, and dryer vent installation and he did a fantastic job. I couldn't be happier with their work! I will be having Jeff install the built ins in our first floor mudroom next, and he is the only contractor i will consider when we are ready to finish our basement! Jeff, came out to do the initial bid and is the one who handled the scheduling for the drywall work and tile work. We found him on Angie's list and ultimately chose him because of his great reviews. We were not disappointed. We had a leak from the master bathroom that came though our kitchen ceiling. The ceiling is textured and we knew it would be difficult to patch. Jeff had Ed Hartkemeyer and his son come out to do that part and it looks great. Ed has years of experience and I don't think anyone could have patched it better. Once the ceiling was painted, we haven't really noticed it. Jeff handled the removal of the old floor and sub floor and sent James Lambert to install the tile. It's beautiful and James took the time to give me an education on how to take care of the tile, since it was a natural stone. Even though there were several different people that helped Jeff on the job, he handled the billing and kept me informed on who was coming and when they would be there. Whenever I had questions, Jeff was prompt to respond. The only thing I would have liked to have known a little more up front the schedule of how long the tile job would take for planning purposes. Now that it's all done, everything turned out better than I could have imagined. We would definitely recommend Jeff and his team to others.

I firmly believe everything happens for a reason. We began this remodel process a full year ago, going through 5 or 6 estimates and meetings with potential contractors and designers. None of them were the right fit for us, until we met Jeff Feldhaus. He is a very straightforward, honest, competent contractor. We had no problems with any part of the process. He does not get involved in the choice of cabinets or appliances. He gave us multiple names of design firms he recommended and left the choice up to us. We ultimately purchased Kraftmaid cabinets from Home Depot in Mason. Jeff and Stacy, the designer, kept in close contact throughout that time, and Jeff's team took over when the cabinets were delivered. We had already bought all of our new appliances, and Jeff checked them over way before each install, finding that I had selected the wrong range hood (it was an island unit and we needed a wall unit). Because Jeff checked ahead of time, I was able to return and reorder the correct hood. Jeff, Sean, Rick, and Tim went to work on demolition, carefully removing our old cabinets intact so our cousin could use them in his vacation home. They cleaned up every day and put up plastic sheeting to cut down on dust. Tim did the electrical work, adding and moving outlets and switches. The improved and brighter lighting is one of my favorite features of my kitchen. In every case, Jeff and Tim consulted us to make sure we were happy with placement and selections, as in types of can lights,undercabinet lighting, dimmers or not (DO the dimmers - they're great!). We now have plenty of outlets and smart placement of light switches. There was one issue on one of our walls, an angled section that my husband felt was not at the optimal angle for the cabinet. Jeff listened, calculated, and put in a false wall that now makes that feature beautiful - a wine rack, glass hanger, and a glass-front cabinet. He also had to change the lighting for that wall, but suggested the perfect fix. He always had smart, useful, and practical ideas throughout the job. His team is fantastic as well. We chose stainless steel subway tile for the backsplash. When it went up, we were concerned it looked too much like the neighborhood diner - Yikes! James, the tile man, assured us that once the grout was finished, we would love it. We were really worried, but we agreed to go forward. Please, please trust in James' expertise. The tile is absolutely gorgeous! James knows his stuff. We love our new kitchen, and we will welcome Jeff back when we begin the next job, our master bath. He and his crew feel like part of the family and we were sorry to see them finish. The entire process was great. Jeff made sure we were happy from beginning to end, and you won't go wrong if you hire him. A+!

We took our time to find the right person to do our kitchen remodel, and we're very pleased that we chose Jeff. We worked with Mark Prince at W. Stephens Cabinetry, at Jeff's recommendation, to design the new kitchen. Mark and Jeff worked very well together to make sure we were pleased with our design and to make sure that every detail was worked out. Jeff and his team were always on time and were always friendly and courteous. They always left our house as clean as it could possibly be, always sweeping up when the day was done and making sure that everything was put away at the end of the day. All of our questions and concerns were always answered, and Jeff replied to e-mails within a very timely manner. We have recommended Jeff to a friend already, and if we ever have any more remodel work to be done, we will use Jeff.

They came in shortly after receiving my call and gave me an estimate. They were so reasonable in cost I was surprised. It took them a day to remove the molding around my windows and floor and lay out the ceiling. The ceiling was no easy task as my kitchen had lots of angles and cubbies. Once they got started things went smoothly. They took time to cover everything...floor, counters, anything that might get damaged or dirty. At the end of each day they cleaned up and swept the floor of any debris. They took the time to hand trim all the molding on the ceiling (which included mostly angle cuts). It was a labor intensive task. Once done they filled all nail holes and caulked (also no easy task). By the time they painted the coffered beams you could see no seams or gaps. They then started on the beadboard and top trim. They made sure the stained trim matched all the other molding around my windows and doors. They used two pieces of trim on the top and mitered everything. They were done in two weeks. I was so impressed with the finished product I gave them a bonus. I can't tell you how good my ceiling looks. I love my kitchen, it looks fabulous. Jeff's crew was friendly and professional and I could see how hard they worked. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and plan to for my next project. You will not be disappointed in their qualify craftsmanship. Needless to say I am spending a lot more time in my beautiful kitchen. Pam Friedrich
