We had a great experience with Beta Construction. They were the Lowe’s installers for our kitchen cabinets. We’ve had numerous projects done in our house over the 18 years we’ve lived here and I think this was the best experience we’ve had. Dennis and Don always arrived when they said they would and worked efficiently and precisely. They anticipated issues/decisions (which are just going to happen with a big job like a kitchen) and Dennis always explained possible solutions so that I could understand and have it done the way I wanted. They were extremely well organized, had all tools and supplies they needed. They finished faster than I thought they would and everything is just perfect! Additionally, they were pleasant guys to have around :) My husband tells me be sure I compliment Don on the plumbing (he says it’s way better than it was before the remodel and I’ll take his word for it).

When I renewed my membership, the first thing that popped up was a request to write a review on Beta Construction: 2 words hits me ... "my pleasure." This company is wonderful, and here are notes from a thank you letter I sent them last year after they finished work in my Kitchen: August 24, 2014: Beta Construction (and LOWES/Springdale) did an outstanding job on my kitchen (August 2014). Plus, back in 2003, Fred McGary, of Beta Construction did an outstanding job building my custom-made additional kitchen utility cabinet and microwave shelf. Beta Construction?s installers ? Robert and Mike, were wonderful to work with: they were so polite, and they kept me informed of everything, everyday, as my project went along. In 2014, I had a 60+ year old stove that stopped working, but had been built into kitchen counters. Mr. McGary redesigned the space: split the existing counter-top to make room for new stove; upgraded the surrounding work areas; and upgraded my sink and garbage disposal. I was (and still am) beyond pleased with his work.

I paid Lowe's $13000 but I am not sure what their portion of it was but their actual work would have been a couple of thousand dollars. They did a very good job. They were timely, showed up when they said they would. They were very thorough with the work and were very good about cleaning up at the end of the day. It maybe took them a little bit longer, I thought they would be done in three days, it took them three and a half but they were pretty upfront about how long it was going to take.

We ordered cabinets through Lowes and Fred showed up right away to take measurements. Bill and Jeff from Beta did an excellent job. They removed old cabinets, sink and wall tile. They installed new cabinets, countertop, sink, ran electric for and installed over-the-range microwave, installed new dishwasher, sink, faucet and garbage disposal and prepped walls after removing tile. They showed up on time, were friendly, were very careful with carrying out old cabinets as to not scratch walls and did a excellent clean up. I would definitely use Beta Construction again.

They were fantastic. I used them 3 years ago. They did my entire basement and helped me remodel it into a separate apartment. The value I got from the money was incredible. They had a bannister that they hadn't used in another job, so they put it in for free. The work was perfect. People come in and think that I spent triple that amount. I am delighted with the work.

Great job done by professional, polite workers. Even with some changes we requested, the project went smoothly. Any delays were not caused by the Beta team but rather by material suppliers. Fred kept us informed of status and when his team would be on site to do work. We needed the kitchen completed by late April due to out-of-town guests arriving and they managed the work schedule to have the kitchen completed on time. We will surely use Beta Construction in the future for other planned projects.

They did a good job. They got a 4 out of 5 or so. They were always on time. They also refinished our hard wood floors. They were friendly and respected the schedule. I would use them again if needed.

The quality of the work was very good and the members of the crew(s) were meticuolous, responsive and polite. Unfortunately, however, there were a number of starts and stops to the work. My sense is that there are too many jobs being juggled, not enough workers and lack of resources to coordinate all of the work, keep customers in the loop and respond efficiently to customers' questions and needs. The work itself is fine and the customer service is fine as well - at times outstanding. In fact, Beta would be awesome if some more time and resources were put into coordinating all the jobs amd assuring that there was always a sufficient set of crews. I would consider working with Beta again and I appreciated the work once completed. But i would advocate getting an absolute commitment on timeline and on crews staying on job from start to finish.

It went very well. The workmanship was excellent, they were easy to work with, and did a great job of following thru. They did a great job. I would gladly hire them again.

Nice, professional owner and crew. Work done was great, and they did a nice job following up on unfinished items and with cleanup. All work done to satisfaction. I am extremely satisfied with the work. I tried calling a few times subsequently to get other jobs done, and I unfortunately did not get a return phone call.

I feel i got the value and quality for my money and even more. Beta did an excellent job and threw in so many extras that I was delighted. the only issue we had was with the painting and when i told Fred about it he sent painters back to do the job right. My basement looks like I spent twice the amount that I did because of the work that beta did.

The crew that came were real craftsmen and very timely. The cleaned up after the job and did a very good job.

We were interested in getting a new kitchen as quickly as we could as we had a baby on the way. As a result, we went with a home improvement store and their contractor, Beta Construction, as they seemed to have the capacity to get the job started and finished earlier than independent contractors. The communication with Beta was a problem from the beginning. It was very difficult to get a return phone call from the owner to schedule the job. We had to have the home improvement store intercede a number of times throughout the remodeling in order to get a response from Beta. Our biggest issues throughout the job: communication (as noted above), quality of work, and professionalism of the main person on site. Helpfully, Beta started the job while we were out of town which allowed the tear out and tile floor to be installed while we were gone. Clean up was terrible!! Debris everywhere, particularly in the basement and on the stairs. Tile floor does not meet the wall well and is uneven in places. They installed several new outlets which are not flush with the wall and not at the same level from the counter. We made the bad assumption that they had sealed the tile floor but later discovered that they will not do this - a problem for us as it is difficult to do with a new baby and small child in the house. The finish on the walls is good in some places and not done well in others. It was difficult to get the countertop installation scheduled. Again, no response when we called. We had to have the home improvement store's upper management call and then when we finally heard from the contractor, they acted as if they had not heard that the counter was ready to be installed. The countertop was very poorly installed - big gaps between the backsplash and the counter. To their credit, they came back out and fixed this so it is much better. The main person on the job, Chad, was always in a great hurry to get things done which resulted in fair to poor quality installation. Toward the end of the job, when Chad wanted us to sign off on the counter, I asked him to wait 15 minutes so my husband would be able to take a look as well. Chad had a fit, more appropriate to my 18 month old, because he had another job to get to (slamming cabinet doors, saying "well thanks a lot"). He had another similar episode when we declined to approve the work. I have never experienced that kind of response from a service contractor. Finally, when they gave us the paper to sign which approved of the work that was done, their description of the paperwork was "it starts the warranty on your cabinets/countertop." It may do that, but also releases their money from the home improvement store to them. I would never recommend this group to anyone. It is absolutely worth paying more and getting someone you have references for and have a direct relationship with (having the home improvement store in between was awkward).

They cleaned up well after themselves. There were a couple of issues but they came and fixed them immediately. They came when they said they were going to be here.

Excellent. On time. Did appropriate additional work to make the door fit well.

Excellent. I went from an old kitchen to a complete teardown in 1 day. Within a week I had a new ceramic tile floor, new cabinets and appliances, and Fred and his project manager Brian set up a temporary counter and sink until my new counter was delivered 3-4 weeks later. They were patient to answer my questions and keep me up to date on what was going on each day. They also were very neat and left everything very tidy under the circumstances. They had real pride of workmanship and were responsive to phone calls.
