Recommend avoiding if possible. We completed a large first floor remodel where we installed new floors, removed a few walls, and a couple other minor cosmetic changes and had Josh (general contractor) lead the project. To say we are frustrated with the final product would be an understatement. Firstly, they failed to remove trash (carpet, baseboards, crown molding, etc) and we have been contacting them for 2 weeks now post "completion" to pick up the trash that is sitting in our driveway. We have had to contact them multiple times and still haven't had all of our trash removed. Trash removal was a $700 fee associated with this project. Second, their general work product is very shoddy. They covered up a floor vent with new flooring. There are many places where the floor wasn't flush with the wall and they calked the gap instead of fixing the flooring so now we just have random white lines along the base of our walls. They ripped off our crowned molding and took off some drywall with it, and then they just left the wall like that. We now have to hire another drywaller to come and fix this work. They left a live outlet that shocks you when you touch anything other than the switch. They didn't bother to change the original transition strips so now we have light brown transition strips next to grey flooring. They placed a random black box on our wall to cover up hole in the wall (result of the initial wall demolition) and wires instead of fixing it properly. You can clearly see where they drywalled because the work product is just so extraordinarily bad. Parts of the wall jut out, other parts are depressed, and there are drywall creases and lines everywhere. Third, they fell behind on the project because Josh had a falling out with 2 sub contractors (who were very good at their job) and then they continued to emphasize how they had to finish our project up quickly because they had a "huge" upcoming project. We paid $25k for this work to be done and made us feel like we were inhibiting them from moving onto their next job. They completely rushed our remodel and it shows in the final product. Josh skimped on getting another flooring and drywall expert in because of this falling out, and then they did a majority of that work themselves which they are not qualified for. Finally, they are extremely bad with communication. We weren't able to select our floor. They bought it and brought it to our house and started installing based off of one picture that we said we liked. They painted walls the wrong color which we will now have to repaint. We told them it is the wrong color and they never considered repainting even though there was a $1000 fee associated with painting after the demolition. They installed wall outlets in random places, and installed lights in our ceiling without consulting us. If you do choose to go with this contractor, I highly recommend supervising the entire project the ENTIRE time, and point out every minor flaw or detail. Josh will not bother to fix any of the minor details unless you explicitly point them out, and then remind him constantly after.
