A D -Vantage Window Cleaning

David committed to installing the outside holiday lights by the end of Thanksgiving Weekend 2010. The lights were not installed Thanksgiving weekend and there was no call about why this had not occured. My husband, Rick, called a couple times during the following week to speak to David. He did not return any messages. Rick finally connected with David and he committed to installing the lights the following Monday. David then called that Monday and left a message stating that his partner was sick and to call back to reschedule. Rick called several times with no return calls. Finally, Rick talked to David in the middle of the week(now two weeks after the original commitment date) and David guaranteed that he would be there this weekend and would call to confirm for which day. He never called and never showed. This is the worst follow up we have ever experienced with any vendor.

It first took awhile before we could get someone to return our calls. After setting up an appointment; it took some time before David came out to clean the gutters. He never scheduled a time and date for the job. Instead he told us that he will just show up someday without warning. I don't like when somebody tells me they are just going to show up whenever! I want to be home on the day someone comes to my home to do a service I'm paying for. After a week or so pasted by; my husband called to see what happened to him and when he was going to do the gutters. He said he was sorry and has been going to the hospital to visit his sick father (OK)! Now the day comes when he is finally ready to clean the gutters. I had no idea that for $165 that he was going to drop all the gutter debris on my lawn, flower beds and where ever else it landed. I had to go around and clean up all the piles of gutter junk. To make things worse; I asked David if I gave him an extra $20 would he paint two little spots on the gutters that the painters missed. It took maybe 15 minutes of his time. I had the gutters painted black and they used to be white. So from the second floor you can see where they missed two small spots. He said OK and did it for me. I figured what's the harm if he is going to be cleaning the gutters anyway. I gave him the brush and paint and thought that will be an easy fix. Well! I could have had my 5 year old grandson do a better job. He barely applied any paint and left it all blotchy with the white paint still showing through. Plus there we're spots he didn't even paint. We had to call him back to repaint what he missed. He made a fast $20 to do nothing. I felt like I was taken advantage of and that is not good business.
