We used Rescue Roofing a couple years ago for a gutter problem that ended up being a design flaw in our Dominion home. (Go figure) So we called them again when we were selling this home and had difficulty getting a response from the company that replaced the roof last fall. At that time the home was in a lease option and our tenant used his own home repair business for the new roof. He later opted out of the lease purchase and the home went into contract with a new buyer. We were coming up on some deadlines and couldn't get a response from our former tenant as to whether his roof repairs were done, nor could we get paperwork from him. As a back-up so the sale wouldn't fall through I called Rescue Roofing and rescheduled with them three times before I was sure the tenant/roofer had actually done the new repairs and was going to complete the necessary paperwork. Rescue Roofing was so nice about my non-use of them that I said I'd add to their Angies reviews. Having actually used them in the past I can say they are friendly, responsive (you usually have to leave a voicemail because it's a small office staff but they promptly call back) and their employees did good work. We have every confidence in recommending them for new roofs and repairs.

Ken and his crew were awesome to work with! Ken arrived on time for the estimate, took pictures to show me what work needed to be done, took great care to explain the issues and performed a temporary fix until his crew could come and complete the work. I had an estimate done by another company who previously did work for me at another house I had owned, and Ken identified the same issues they did, found an additional vent issue and performed the same work that they would have for several hundred dollars less. He was able to work me into his schedule sooner than anticipated--just a couple days after he came to assess the issues and provide the estimate. The work was done as promised and we've had at least one heavy rain since the work was performed and I saw no evidence of water in the house, so I'd say the repair was successful. I would definitely return to Rescue Roofing & Siding for future work.

We initially called Ken because we lost siding in the June 1012 storm. He came RIGHT out and secured the hole from weather. He then carefully looked at our roof, where we had lost several shingles we didn't even know about. He worked with our insurance company extremely well, making many phone calls and visits to our house with insurance representatives, eventually securing from our insurance company full coverage for total roof and siding replacement. Additionally, he was very knowledgeable about colors, appearance, and quality of products and helped us pick out a color combination that gets rave reviews from the neighbors; we really needed this as we are clueless about colors. The workmen were fast, competent, and kept a very clean work space every day. When we noticed a screen had been damaged, Ken replaced it immediately. We hope we never need Rescue Roofers again, but if we do, we'll definitely use them.

It went very well. The owner, Ken Maynard, returned call promptly and scheduled time for estimate. He was on time, and work was completed by the end of the week. Had one problem that wasn't detected during initial estimate. Called in the afternoon after realized that there was still a leak. Ken was out next morning, problem found and taken care of.

Wonderful. They called back promptly when we called. Came when they said. Did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. We were very pleased. You can see the good job they did from even the ground looking up. They are working with our insurance co on other work from hail damage. We would use them again and recommend them.

I contacted Ken to request a quote. He went to the job site and provided me with a quote within a couple of days, as he said he would do. The quote was competitive, so I accepted. Ken said he would start the job with a few days notice, and he did. He and his crew were courteous and profesional. I will use this company again and I will refer them to any one who needs there service.

I was thankful for their patience and explaining things to me as it was the first time I was in this type of situation. I had to have things repeated to me a few times so I completely understood things and Ken let me know when things could be done. I got in touch with my insurance, made a decision on which way to go, and was helped out. I would look to them first if I need more help in the future.

"RESCUE ROOFING AND SIDING " WAS A GODSEND FOR ME!!!!! I needed a complete roof replacement on my house, due to wind and hail damage. I got many estimates from different roofing companies, but none were to my satisfaction. I was very doubful I would have my new roof before winter, until I called, "Rescue Roofing and Siding". Ken Maynard, President was excellant!! He was polite, attentive, patient, very informative, assured my satisfaction and piece of mind. Ken explained the process and answered all my questions completely. He also took pictures of my chimney, which gave me the option of having it repaired. While choosing the style of shingles, Ken used large sample boards which really helped to see just how they would look on my roof. He went out of his way by displaying the sample boards on my roof, aiding me to making color choices. The crew were self starters and obviously experienced, which was demonstrated by the quality of their work. Ken also found items my insurance adjuster overlooked, and it was corrected. I 'M 100% HAPPY AND SATISFIED, AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND "RESCUE ROOFING AND SIDING."

Ken was the MOST Professional Roofer I worked with and had the Best price as well! Specifically, Ken: 1. Quickly worked with my insurance company on my Residential claim providing documentation why we needed more Materials than they estimated plus additional monies for materials because of shingle price increases over the previous 3 months (a previous roofer took 7 weeks to even fill out the paperwork to start this process); 2. Dealt with Multiple Insurance companies and two (2) separate contracts for my Commercial Building claim because I owned ½ of our 4,000 sq. ft. building and a Chiropractor owned the other half and we had two (2) different insurance companies and two (2) different claim adjusters. 3. Scheduled the commercial building repair at a time that was convenient for two (2) separate businesses; 4. Brought a board of shingle choices from which I could choose my home shingles and provided addresses of homes with my choices to view; 5. Offered Drip edges that matched the siding (they looks so nice); 6. Upon my request, provided ?extra? shingles for me to keep for my home in case I needed some in the future; 7. Responded to ALL concerns promptly and when I wanted him personally on-site at my home he worked with me to accommodate that request; 8. Upon my request and providing a water hose, ran water through all my gutters at both locations (in addition to their standard of cleaning out debri by hand and a very thorough clean-up after all jobs); 9. Fixed, at no additional charge, two (2) corner gutter leaks that I had for a while and my normal ?gutter cleaner? had not been able to repair; AND 10. Even painted the normally ?white? vent pipes grey----It looks so much better grey! WANT TO BE RESCUED? CALL ?RESCUE ROOFING TODAY!

Everything’s holding up great. There are no problems at all. They came out as scheduled and there were no problems at all. After they did the job, a couple of days it rained and it was leaking again. I called them back and they were curious. They came right over and looked at it. They realized the nails that they had used were a little bit too short and so they changed the nails, and redid the cap on it. They fixed everything back on and so it was great. There were no problems. Their price was excellent and there were no problems with that. I’m going to call them again probably in the next couple of days. I will absolutely use their services again in the future.

After receiving authorization from my insurance company, I had the responsibility of obtaining my own contractor to do the repairs. I solicited several estimates from area contractors. I chose Rescue based upon price and ratings on this listing. I was pleased with the quality of work that was completed.

He bent over backwards for me and the quality of work was outstanding! The prices were very reasonable. They cleaned up very well after the job was done, and you couldn't even tell that someone had just been here doing all that work.

I called several companies out to look at the water spot on my Dining Room ceiling. I had estimates and suggestions on repair from caulking around the upstairs window to tearing off the entire siding and roof and replacing everything. Ken Maynard came out and said he has seen this problem many times and he thought the problem was behind the cedar trim around the upstairs window. He spent around 45 minutes on the roof water testing the area, but the results did not immediately appear. He suggested removing the trim and wrapping ice/water gaurd material on the flanges of the windows and reinstalling new trim and that should fix the problem. Keith Hohe came out and did the repair. When he took off the trim there was visiable rot in the corner Ken thought the problem was coming from. The house is 6 years old. I asked about replacing some of the shingles in the area because they looked beat up from the siding being installed and from the painters walking and using ladder to paint when the house was originally built. It was mentioned it was a good idea to have the area replaced as well. They wrapped the area with the ice/water guard material, installed a drip edge and matched the shingles to the existing shingles on the rest of the house, cleaned up and did a great job. I will recommend them to anyone needing roofing/water infiltration repair.

I had already had this company out to give an estimate on repainting my tin roof. A few weeks later a leak started on one of my shingle roof areas (my roof is about 85% tin and 3 sections of shingled roof make up the remaining 15%). I noticed the leak late on a Wednesday night, called first thing Thursday and they quickly came out and assessed the situation. I had previously had a raccoon gaining entry into that area and he apparently tore up the shingles. This is an area where the tin roof and shingle roof came together in perpendicular slopes, so I imagine it was tricky to work with. Ken, the President of the company was very informative and helpful in answering all my questions. After agreeing on the contract, Rescue Roofing had a crew out first thing Monday morning to replace the roof. When I arrived home that evening you could not tell anything had happened, except that there was new shingles. There was no debris left by the company and none of my plants had been disturbed. You could tell they were very respectful of my property. They also unfortunately had to work near a yellow jacket nest and never complained once about this, although I profusely apologized. Ken, the President of Rescue Roofing, has been a pleasure to work with. I will be hiring them within the next week to do my roof painting as well. I wish working with all companies was this easy!

The job went perfectly--I don't think it could be done any more perfectly. First was my phone call to the friendly receptionist, she answered my questions, and setup an appointment for an estimator to inspect my damages. Ken came out the following day and performed a thorough inspection. Ken worked with the insurance company and resolved my claim within a few days. Ken returned to my house to discuss shingle and siding options/colors. Ken was very knowledgeable regarding all aspects of products. A few days later, I received a phone call stating that the materials would be delivered, and that the crew would be coming to start the day after. Two days later, I had a team of 6 well-trained roofers on my roof. They tarped all of my landscaping, and I was very impressed. By the evening, the crew was finished with the roof, but they spent an hour making sure that all of the nails were cleaned from the yard. I was very concerned about nails, because I have children that play in my yard. The following day, the siding crew began work on my siding replacement. The siding took about 2 days, but the same care was taken in cleanup and workmanship. Ken came by the following day and did a thorough inspection. Rescue has the best warranty of all the companies that I consulted with--including some of the big names in town. I could not be happier with how things turned out. I would recommend Rescue Roofing & Siding to anyone that is considering having roofing or siding replaced on his or her house.
