I called up Neff's Home Restoring Plus after I found them on-line. They gave me an estimate of 2 weeks and it actually took 5 weeks. When it all started, the owner started the project and led us to believe that he was going to do all the work. Instead, the owner's son came and a helper and they didn't seem to know what they were doing. We've had to bring other companies in to fix their work. They showed up every third day and we never knew when they would show up.

Response from NEFF'S HOME RESTORING PLUS
ON 8/27/07 THE MEMBER CALLED TO REQUEST AN ESTIMATE FOR A BATHROOM AND A BASEMENT REMODEL. THE COMPLETE REMODEL OF THE BATHROOM WAS THE ONLY THING ESTIMATED TO TAKE 2 WEEKS. ON 10/05/07 THE MEMBER ACCEPTED THE ESTIMATE AND WORK COMMENCED ON 10/10. ON 10/28 HE REQUESTED WE NOT DO ANYMORE WORK UNTIL 11/05 AS THEY WERE HAVING FAMILY VISIT FOR A PRE HOLIDAY. AT THAT TIME THE BATHROOM WAS COMPLETE AND THE BASEMENT WAS PARTIALLY FINISHED. ADDITIONALLY, ON 10/28, THE MEMBER COMMENTED ON HOW WELL HE LIKED HOW THE BATHROOM TURNED OUT. ON 11/05 WHEN OUR CREW RETURNED TO WORK, THE MEMBER SUDDENLY PUT A TIME CONSTRAINT ON THE COMPLETION OF THE BASEMENT. HE INSISTED THAT THE BASEMENT BE COMPLETE BY 11/17 INCLUDING CUSTOM SHELVING TO ENCASE ONE ENTIRE WALL. HE SUGGESTED THREATS IF THE JOB WAS NOT COMPLETED AT THAT TIME, YET AT THE SAME TIME OFFERED A RESCISSION OF THE CONTRACT SO THAT HE COULD PUT AN OUT OF WORK FRIEND AND NEIGHBOR ON THE JOB. WE AGREED TO THE RESCISSION AND WAITED FOR THE MEMBER TO SIGN THE RESCISSION AND MAKE FINAL PAYMENT ON THE WORK ALREADY COMPLETED. OVER THE NEXT FEW MONTHS THEREAFTER, HE DISPUTED THE AMOUNT DUE AND INSISTED HE HAD MONEY COMING BACK TO HIM. WE WERE CONCERNED WITH HAVING A SATISFIED CUSTOMER, SO WE MADE SEVERAL OFFERS TO SETTLE. NONE OF OUR OFFERS WERE EXACTLY WHAT HE REQUESTED, THEREFORE HE DENIED THEM ALL AND CONTINUED TO MAKE THREATS. INCLUDED IN THOSE THREATS WAS THE RECOVERY OF MONEY PAID TO SOMEONE ELSE TO FIX OUR WORK. FIRST OF ALL, WE TOLD HIM THAT IF THERE WAS SOMETHING HE WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH, WE WOULD BE THERE TO FIX IT. INDEED WE DID RETURN AND FIX THE ONE ISSUE HE INFORMED US OF. WE HAVE THE SIGNED WORK ORDER FROM HIM STATING HER SATISFACTION WITH THAT WORK. WE HAVE SINCE HEARD ABOUT MORE SO CALLED "FIXES" AND ASKED TO SEE THE RECEIPTS OF WHICH NONE HAS BEEN PRODUCED. FINALLY, WE SETTLED FOR NO MONEY DUE US AND NO MONEY DUE HIM. SIMPLY SIGN THE CONTRACT RESCISSION SO WE CAN HONOR THE 1 YEAR WARRANTY ON THE BATHROOM. THE MEMBER HAS REFUSED TO COOPERATE IN ANYWAY AND INSTEAD THREATENED US WITH COURT. TO THIS DATE, NO COURT ACTION HAS BEEN PURSUED. THE AMOUNT DUE US WOULD NOT MAKE SUING THE MEMBER PROFITABLE FOR US AS MOST OF, IF NOT ALL THE MONEY WOULD BE GONE ON COURT COSTS AND FILLING FEES ETC. HOWEVER, WE ARE VERY PREPARED TO APPEAR IN COURT SHOULD HE DECIDE TO PURSUE. WE DOCUMENT OUR WORK AND ANY AND ALL CORRESPONDENCE WITH OUR CUSTOMERS. OUR COMPANY DOES USE SUBCONTRACTORS AND HELPERS TO COMPLETE OUR JOBS. WE GUARANTEE ALL WORK FOR ONE YEAR AND USE CONTRACTS TO PROTECT OURSELVES AND THE CUSTOMER. YES, OUR SON DOES WORK FOR US AND TO THIS DATE HE IS THE ONLY CUSTOMER WHO HAS ANYTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY ABOUT HIM. WE HAVE STACKS OF REFERENCES TO THE CONTRARY. AS FOR OUR OTHER HELPERS, THEY TOO ARE QUALIFIED TO DO THE JOB AND ARE SUPERVISED EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. WE HAVE RECORDINGS, RECEIPTS, PHOTOS AND WITNESSES THAT PROVE OUR WORKERS WERE AT THE JOB EVERY DAY EXCEPT SOME WEEKENDS.
