+ -1 moreI WAS VERY IMPRESSED AT THE OUTSET. THE OWNER WAS PROFESSIONAL AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE WAS EARLY FOR THE APPOINTMENT, SPOTTED PROBLEM AREAS RIGHT AWAY AND SUGGESTED WORK AROUNDS. BASED ON OUR FIRST IMPRESSION, WE WANTED HIS COMPANY TO DO THE WORK. BUT! WE DIDN'T HEAR BACK RIGHT AWAY, AND CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO GET THE ESTIMATE. IT TOOK ALMOST 3 WEEKS TO GET THE ESTIMATE, BY WHICH TIME WE HAD DECIDED ON ANOTHER COMPANY, AND THE ESTIMATE WAS VERY HIGH. PART OF THAT MIGHT BE BECAUSE SOMEHOW 8 LINEAR FEET OF OAK WALL CABINETS GOT PUT INTO THE PLAN, BUT EVEN STILL, THE ESTIMATE WAS HIGH AND LATE. WHEN WE CALLED ABOUT NOT HAVING THE ESTIMATE, THEY WERE APOLOGETIC AND SURPRISED THAT THEY HAD DROPPED THE BALL, BUT THE DELAY AND THE HIGH PRICE LOST THEM A CERTAIN SALE.
Description of Work: ESTIMATE FOR FINISHING BASEMENT (SLIGHTLY LESS THAN 600 SQ FT, INCLUDING 1/2 BATH & STAIN-GRADE WOOD TRIM). RELATIVELY SMALL SPACE, AND A SIMPLE FLOOR PLAN, WITH A FEW TWEAKS HERE AND THERE (LOW CEILING HEIGHT, 2 GLASS-BLOCK WINDOWS, NICE NEWEL, BALUSTRADE, HANDRAIL TO KEEP BOTH SIDES OF STAIRS OPEN, AND CERAMIC TILE IN BATHROOM).
