+ -1 moreWOW! WHAT A GREAT CONCEPT! VERY EASY TO ARRANGE. I CONTACTED PODS THROUGH THEIR TOLL FREE NUMBER. PRICE IS BASED ON THE SIZE OF THE STORAGE UNIT AND YOUR MONTHLY USAGE. THEY OFFERED TWO SIZE UNITS; A SMALLER UNIT IS 8X8X12 AND THE LARGER UNIT IS 8X8X16. I USED THE LARGER UNIT. PRICING AND BILLING WERE ACCURATE. THEY WERE VERY CONVENIENT TO USE AND FLEXIBLE WITH SCHEDULING. PODS STAYED IN CONTACT WITH ME THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE MOVING PROCESS BOTH BY PHONE AND EMAIL. THE UNIT WAS CLEAN. THEIR ONLINE WEB SITE WAS INFORMATIVE REGARDING THEIR SERVICE, PRICE, AND MY ACCOUNT ACTIVITY. THE SITE WAS EASY TO USE WHEN I HAD TO ADJUST MY DELIVERY DATE TO MY NEW HOUSE. THEY ALSO RENTED ME FURNITURE BLANKETS. THEY DO NOT HANDLE THE ACTUAL MOVING OF CONTENTS INTO AND OUT OF THE STORAGE UNIT OR OBTAINING ANY CITY PERMITS, IF YOU NEED THEM.
Description of Work: I USED PODS FOR MOVING FROM MY OLD HOME INTO MY NEW HOME. CLOSING DATES AND POSSESSION DID NOT COINCIDE BETWEEN THE TWO HOMES. SO, PODS DELIVERED A STORAGE UNIT TO MY OLD HOME, STORED MY BELONGINGS FOR A FEW WEEKS AT THEIR FACILITY AND THEN DELIVERED THE POD TO MY NEW HOME.

+ -1 morePOD DOES NOT HOLD MUCH AS A 1500 SQ FT HOUSEHOLD. HIRED ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY TO LOAD POD. MORNING THE POD WAS TO BE PICKED UP, OPENED IT TO PUT IN ANOTHER COUPLE OF BOXES AND REALIZED HOW HORRIBLY MY FURNITURE WAS PLACED INSIDE. POD DRIVER ARRIVED, SHOWED HER THE INSIDE OF THE POD AND TOLD HER I HAD TO HAVE IT REPACKED OR MY FURNITURE WOULD BE DESTROYED IN THE MOVE. HAD POD REPACKED PROPERLY AND CALLED TO SCHEDULE A PICK UP BEFORE THE END OF THE MONTH (3)DAYS. BECAUSE IT WAS AN INTER-FRANCHISE MOVE, AND WE CALL A SPECIAL NUMBER FOR THAT, I CALLED THEM TO SEE WHAT THEY COULD DO AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS OWNER WAS THE ONE THAT HAD TO AGREE TO PICK UP THE POD. FOR A LONG DISTANCE MOVE I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND PODS. IF THERE ARE NO PODS IN THE AREA THEY DROP IT AT A WAREHOUSE AND YOU HAVE TO HIRE OTHER MOVERS TO FINISH UP. IT WAS MORE EXPENSIVE IN THE LONG RUN. IT FELT LIKE A POWER THING WITH THIS WOMAN. SINCE MOVING IS SO STRESSFUL ANYWAY, AVOID THIS SERVICE. NO ALLOWANCE FOR SNAGS.
Description of Work: PURCHASED A 16 X 8 POD FOR LONG DISTANCE MOVE. POD DROPPED OFF FINE. BUT BECAUSE OF A PROBLEM WITH THE PACKING, POD COULDN'T BE PICKED UP AS SCHEDULED. CALLED TO RESCHEDULE AND OWNER SAID "YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT YOUR TURN." PROBLEM: NEW OWNERS TAKING POSSESSION OF HOME 3 DAYS BEFORE SHE WOULD SCHEDULE A PICK UP. TAKES MINUTES TO GET TO MY HOUSE, MINUTES TO LOAD THE POD AND HAVE TO BELIEVE MINUTES TO DRIVE IT TO THE WAREHOUSE BUT SHE WOULD NOT HELP IN ANYWAY. MY BET IS THAT SHE HAD TIME IN HER SCHEDULE FOR THE 5 DAYS SHE MADE ME WAIT. GAVE THEM TIME TO DELIVER PODS TO MAKE MORE MONEY.
