+ 0 moreIn the beginning he was very good about coming out on time and finishing his work quickly. I was pregnant and about to have my children so we were trying to get everything done. We then wanted him to do the roof and he stopped coming at random times.
Description of Work: John Taylor & Sons came out and replaced some pipes for us. He started work on our roof.

+ 0 moreJOHN WAS EXCELLENT TO WORK WITH. HE WAS PROMPT, HARDWORKING, AND THE QUALITY OF HIS WORK WAS GREAT. HE TOLD ME THAT HE PLANS TO RETIRE FROM THE ARMY RESERVES (WHERE HE SERVED IN IRAQ) AND LEAVE HIS CIVILIAN ARMY JOB SO HE CAN GO FULL TIME WITH HIS HOME MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICE. AT HIS ARMY JOB, HE DOES A WIDE RANGE OF MAINTENANCE AND ELECTRICAL WORK. HE IS SKILLED IN BOTH MIG AND TIG WELDING. HE ALSO HAS BUILT ENTERTAINMENT CENTERS AND DONE CABINETRY WORK. IT WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH JOHN AND HIS TEENAGE SON (WHO SERVES AS HIS APPRENTICE WHEN SCHOOL IS OUT). I PLAN TO CALL HIM FOR SOME HOME REPAIRS.
Description of Work: JOHN WAS A SUBCONTRACTOR DURING MY BASEMENT FINISHING PROJECT. HE RELOCATED PLUMBING LINES AND HUNG DRYWALL.

+ -1 moreA PRIVACY FENCE AT THE END OF MY DECK WAS WOBBLY. JOHN DISCOVERED THAT THE SUPPORT POSTS WERE NOT ANCHORED (JUST BURIED IN THE DIRT). HE AND HIS SON ANCHORED THE POSTS IN CONCRETE AND REPLACED A CRACKED SUPPORT POST. THEY ALSO REPAIRED THE DECK GATE SO THAT IT SWUNG SMOOTHLY WITHOUT SCRAPING THE DECK SURFACE. THEY REPLACED A FEW MISSING FENCE RAILS, AND STAINED ALL THE NEW WORK TO MATCH THE EXISTING DECK. THE DECK LOOKS GREAT! I'M VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK. I DEFINITELY WILL USE THEM AGAIN.
Description of Work: MADE REPAIRS TO DECK, INCLUDING WALL FOUNDATION, SUPPORTS, AND GATE. TOTAL COST IS FOR LABOR AND MATERIALS.
