Dave Richards does a fantastic job. They are reasonably priced and so responsive to questions. We had a bedroom with egress window, bathroom with shower, kitchenette, and office finished in our basement. It has turned out beautifully and I would not hesitate to use them again.

From the beginning to end, communication, quality, and my input was handled with the utmost professionalism, responsibility and TRUST. You can pay for expensive materials and talented labor, but the trust established throughout the process was priceless. I had many lengthy conversations with the owner David and his daughter Ashley, and they treated me like family. The initial quote process facilitated by Bruce was fun, enjoyable and his imaginative and practical sense helped me to envision the basement of my dreams. Then, four separate specialized teams executed the project in an efficient and effective manner that showcases many years of experience that few companies can offer. Flabio was the kindest and most impressive framer and painter I have ever met. Mikey setup a beautiful lighting system and made electrical runs for plugs and TVs in every convenient place to do anything I could ever want to do in the new space. Pedroâ s sheetrock, mudding, sanding and finesse was flawless to my keen eyes. Finally, the flooring by Milt was the icing on the cake to this stunning basement that we will love for many, many years to come. I cannot thank Dave, Ashley, Bruce, Flabio, Mikey, Pedro, Milt and their helpers enough! I have made some great, good, and bad decisions in my life, but hiring Dave Richard's Home Improvement to remodel my basement was the greatest decision I have ever made. We recently had our basement finished. Bruce as the project manager was very receptive to our vision and provided us with valuable insights and tips during the design. He is very approachable and easy to get in touch with. Flavio , Pedro and Mike are all very friendly and amazing. Thorough professionals with top notch craftsmanship, they were quick and did an amazing job. We did run into some delays (a month or 2) during the flooring as the delivery of the floor that we had picked up was delayed. Overall it has been a wonderful experience working with this team and i would definitely recommend them.

Milt and his team did an outstanding job repairing / replacing vinyl flooring after a sump pump failure. They were efficient and inexpensive relative to others Iâ ve worked with. Bruce, the project manager, was very customer focused, in constant communication with me, and a pleasure to work with. This is the second time Iâ ve used this team and I continue to be impressed. We had about 1200 sq ft finished in our basement to include a bathroom, laundry room, bonus room and two bedrooms. Dave Richards crew did a great job. About a year and four months after the project was completed, we developed a plumbing issue. They came right out, inspected and fixed the issue without question. I would recommend them to anyone needing a remodel or basement work.

There isnâ t one! The process starts with Bruce, who is just a fantastic human! Heâ s quick, responsive, intelligent in his ideas and suggestions and takes your lead. He coordinates every next step and keeps you posted along the way. We had so many guys in this house for framework (LOVE Flabeo) electric (Mike is amazing) and drywall (Pedro and his family were SO quick) and each of them were so extremely polite, quick, clean, professional and knowledgeable in their specific craft. They all felt like friends and never left before asking if we liked everything they did that day. We had a vision for our basement Reno and they were determined to make it exactly how we hoped for. It is hands down our favorite part of this house and I honestly canâ t wait until I can talk my husband into more work around the house so we can use these guys again. Dave, the owner, was so kind to my husband and I via phone calls to make sure we were happy with the work and gave his professional suggestions along the way. You can tell he expects high standards from his field guys and in return there is a lot of respect for him on the team. These are your guys, truly! We had a very positive experience with our finished basement project. After meeting with several other companies, Bruce was very professional. When meeting him the first time, we felt very comfortable with him as project manager and knew this was the company we wanted to hire. He was willing to answer any questions we had, talk through different options, and help bring our vision to life. You can tell Dave Richards Home Improvement cares about their employees and customers, and not just about bottom line profit. All the crews are friendly, and experienced in their trades. Their craftsmanship shows with attention to detail, and not cutting corners. In full transparency we had a few frustrating communication mix ups during the holidays with scheduling work days around us being out of town. Also, all the crews worked very neat overall, but the drywall dust is everywhere and we spent our own time sweeping up/shop vacuuming, getting ready before carpet. Overall we would rehire & recommend.

Great experience working with Dave, Bruce, Mike and the rest of the team. They really listened to our vision and delivered on all of our expectations while staying true to the original quote and timeline. We requested a few changes during the process and they were always able to adapt, did not nickel and dime us and made sure that the end product was what we wanted. I definitely have an attention to detail and could not be happier with our basement remodel. Dave and Bruce were always accessible, knowledgeable and managed the project well. Mike and the guys were courteous and showed great work ethic, often staying late, even on the weekends, until the job was done. Everyone has been impressed with our basement (probably the nicest part of our house) and I have already recommended them to friends and family. I would definitely use them again for future projects.

We first reached out to Dave Richards Home Improvement in early June after seeing their work and reviews on line. We wanted a significant transformation of our full unfinished basement into a multi-room finished basement. Bruce, our project manager, reached out right away and came over to talk through our vision. We felt good about the plans, direction, price, and relationship, so we secured a spot on the schedule. They were able to start in mid-August. Everyone is backed up a little bit, so two months was no big deal. We had extremely hard-working and highly skilled crew members for eight weeks. Flavio, Pedro, Caleb, and the incredible Mike were here the most. We have never seen people work such long hours with such intensity. They were always respectful to our home and to us. Their work was impeccable. Just a few communication bumps along the way, mostly in the finishing weeks with little left to be done, but they were easily handled. Everything else was incredible. We would absolutely recommend them and would hire them again for other jobs in a heartbeat.

We received quotes from a few others that were 3X Dave Richardsâ quote. Bruce (project manager) was great throughout the process. Mikey, Caleb, and Flabeo sought guidance throughout and accommodated any small update/request we made. Overall great experience.

We did have some minor issues, a couple of items that were ordered/ bought incorrectly and a couple of re dos. Some communication issues. The men were fast, professional, cooperative. The price was very reasonable. Overall, in the end, we are satisfied and would definitely recommend this company.

My main point of contact, Bruce, is a pleasure to work with, and kept me up-to-date with what was happening and made sure everything I wanted was done the way I wanted. Dave and his team were very easy to work with and did a phenomenal job finishing my basement. They have very competitive pricing for high quality work. Any issues or concerns I had throughout the process were addressed in a timely and professional manner. Their adaptability for any changes that I made during the project was applied seamlessly. Every person on their team was very respectful and hard working. They did not attempt to hide anything and were very transparent with any issues and fixed everything properly. A few months after my basement was completed I found a couple minor issues and there was a defective dimmer switch that they came out and repaired no questions asked. Any home project moving forward I will be contacting Dave.

Of the various contractors that I have used for projects around our home, Dave Richards Home Improvement is the supplier we are most comfortable endorsing to our friends and family. We had gotten multiple quotations to have our basement finished, and their quotation was competitive versus the field. However, what I think makes this team stand out versus others: 1) Speed: The team works quickly to get the job done with minimal days on site, basically working as long as it was convenient for us. We have a young daughter, so having the crews end work so she could sleep was huge for us and they were always respectful of our home and time. While we ran into a few snags with materials, Bruce communicated with us throughout the process and ensured we got what we needed. 2) Flexibility: When we asked to make some adjustments throughout the build process as we saw the framing or other items go in, they were able to accommodate them and actually worked with us to ensure we were happy with the result. Flabio, the framer, came out a follow up time to change some of the soffits for us, not because he had done anything wrong the first time, but because we preferred the look of framing out our soffits slightly differently after looking at them for some time. While I am sure they do not want everyone constantly changing the scope of the job, I truly felt they wanted us to be happy with the basement and did not force us to continue with an initial plan just because it was what was written at the very beginning. While other suppliers may have had more elaborate drawn up plans, the flexibility Dave Richards afforded was actually more valuable to me as the ability to make adjustments when we saw how things actually looked in our basement was helpful. No plan on paper can substitute this and Dave Richards did not throw change orders at us even if we asked for some small adjustments. 3) Transparency: They did not nickel and dime us after their quotation was done. We also had the ability to provide our own fixtures if we wanted. Alternately, they passed through their discounts on fixtures (e.g., toilets, vanity, shower) from Lowes directly to us. I would guess other companies would charge retail prices and keep that margin for themselves. Any incremental costs we paid above the first quotation were from an explicit request we made (i.e., asked to replace some standard doors with glass doors) and we were provided with a quotation prior to any invoices. 4) Clean: Their team always brings drop cloths to protect the rest of our home when working and maintains good communication with us throughout the day. They also cleaned out materials and even when leaving the worksite day to day, vacuumed and organized tools and materials for the following day. Mike, one of their team leads, even saw a small paint drop on our main floor (where they were not working) and offered to help us get it off. 5) Integrity: Based on the points above, we just feel that Dave Richards Home Improvement is the type of company and team with whom we want to do business. Hardworking, capable, and respectful teams that just want you to be happy with your project and done at a fair price. As a fairly sizeable project for us in terms of scope and spend, we were happy to do it with a company that worked with us to ensure we realized our vision for our basement and was not looking to get every dollar out of us that they could. Bottom line, Dave Richards and his teams are just good people and the type we love having in our home. We will definitely be calling Bruce at Dave Richards Home Improvement anytime we have a home project and would recommend them to others for any of your home improvement needs.
