I can't say enough good things about Derek. He did a great job and my bathroom looks awesome . The floor pattern was somewhat complex because it wasn't the normal straight pattern. The pattern contained numerous cuts...it has a 6 inch tile border around the room, inside that is another border of mosaic glass tile and then the innner rectangle was layed with more granite tiles, which were cut diagonally. Also, the granite tile was used as the base trim on the walls. Mosiac glass tile (same as used on the floor) was installed on the wall above and around where a new double vanity will go. Even though Derek's work is done, he is coming back to help the plumber move and seat the new double vanity, which is extremely heavy as it has a granite top. Derek is a very friendly, professional and punctual guy. He is helpful and has lots of good ideas and resources. Derek went above and beyond what was expected of him. He noticed that my storm door handle was loose, and unbeknownst to me, he fixed it and never mentioned it.

Very honest. Derek was right on everything. He was able to come up with a solution when we ran in any hiccups. He is very detail oriented. He is also creative!

I heard of Derek through word of mouth and saw the tile work at a friends. He came several times to work out a plan for the master bath. This was my first bathroom remodel and I had a lot to learn. Throughout the process he was extremely patient and flexible with me with the dozens of changes that I made throughout the process. Our bath had no shower vent, no floor vent, and had a picture window that did not open, with a lower soffit over the shower that was starting to collect mold due to the moisture build up. We wanted him to remove the soffit over the shower, add a shower fan and light, extend the shower a bit and check out the flooring- where we thought had some water damage. What started as a simple project for him escalated to a full and complete remodel of the bathroom. He gave me all the choices in what I wanted to chose for faucets, trim, everything to my budget and design. This was nice- it gave us complete freedom to do what we wanted and allowed us to dictate our own price. Things that I appreciated during our remodel was his attention to details in his work and in our home- his work environment. I have to mention that he had to measure each tiny marble tile and wood and travertine piece by piece, then he went downstairs into the garage or driveway and cut and run back upstairs (16 stairs) up and down probably 1000's of times! He closed all the doors at all times to our master bedroom and bath, was extremely quiet, and worked tiredlessly in keeping our home and air clean for our three children. He took every care to make sure that our family routine was not interrupted and was very serious in not allowing any of the particles and dust get into anything especially into the children's lungs. I am one of those extreme perfectionists that wants the high quality job with a very fair price and he delivered in spades! Whatever I wanted he could do. I was blown away by his artistic quality in the tiling, flooring, and cabinetry work! Words don't do justice, but photos might show a tinge of the grandeur of the outcome! We have had our share of contractors from complete window installation, complete wood floor and sanding, to remodeling but he has been the best. My husband and i have nothing but praise and gratitude for his work, his punctuality, his professionalism, his politeness, trustworthiness, and care in all he did for us. This man is a gem and we will definitely use him again in the future. If you need anything done, he can do it and you will not be disappointed. He also does exterior decks, concrete porches, stoops, basement remodeling, kitchen remodeling and more. Thank you Derek for everything!
