Chuck's Septic Tank Service

My downspout drain was backing up, causing overflow and erosion near the foundation of my house. I called Chuck's Septic to snake the line out, but unfortunately the tree roots had grown so much inside the pipe that they were unable to clear the line during this appointment. I chose to pay an additional charge for the pipe inspection through use of their camera, but in hindsight I don't think it was necessary. A few days later I met with Chuck and we discussed a few options. He was very transparent about my alternative options and potential costs, and he actually recommended the less expensive option. I sincerely appreciate Chuck not trying to sell me a solution that I didn't actually need in his professional opinion. He truly did have my best interests in mind. I gave a "C" for responsiveness because it took about a week and several phone calls to get a formal quote. Then on the day of the repair appointment, nobody showed up. After waiting for several hours I called and was told my appointment had been cancelled because they had emergency work that morning (it had rained hard the night before). I can understand the cancelled appointment, but the office personnel failed to communicate with each other about who was to notify me of the cancellation. Turns out neither of them did and I wasted several hours of my day off of work. I rescheduled the appointment and Jeremy showed up on time and did an oustanding job replacing the damaged pipe. Unfortunately he had to cut a few major roots to extract the pipe, but we had no choice. He showed me the repaired line before backfilling the trench. Now after several hard rainfalls, I can say with certainty that I no longer have an overflow problem. I would use Chuck's Septic again, despite the failed communication, because I know these guys want to do what is best for the customer, and for a fair price. Thanks guys!

The guy they sent over was really awesome. He had a lot of information about the septic and did a thorough inspection. Everything was great. They got the inspection done in about 2 hours.

It went amazingly well and I very highly recommend Steve and Chucks Septic. I could not imagine a better situation nor a better company. I recommend them hands down. He was the third plumber that I had contacted because I knew it was a big job I wanted the right person. After talking with him on the phone I knew they were the one I would hire. I was called to tell me they were on the way - they arrived on time. The gentlemen were very courteous and efficient - they were knowledgeable and took the time to explain the system to me. I will definitely use them again.

What can I say that hasn't been said in the other reviews? These guys knew what they were doing, did it quick and checked to make sure the system was operating correctly. All of my questions were answered and they were polite. Fair price, polite workers and did the job correctly and quickly. There's not muh more that I need

Both office person and the technician that showed up to perform work were very polite and pleasant. We have never had a septic system in the past so he explained how the whole system worked. I plan to use them again.

After the septic tank was drained, the technician made sure the water from the house was draining properly. He spent a lot of time waiting while I flushed the toilets and ran the rinse cycle of the washing machine. Once he was satisfied with the amount of the water flow, he packed up all of his hoses and equipment.

I have never had a septic tank before so this was my first experience in having to have one pumped out. The technician was professional, punctual and informative. He took the time to tell me what I should and should not be doing with the septic tank and how often I should have it pumped. Not something I really enjoyed spending money on but I thought the price was fair and I couldn't have been more pleased with the technician. I will defiantely use this company again.

They sent a huge truck for the job, so the driver had to be very careful and had to back in from the road, a distance of about 300 yards, then back around a sharp turn into our parking area and back another 50 feet. He was careful to stay away from the edges of the blacktop as much as possible so that the weight of the truck would not destroy the driveway. Once I had shown him where the tank was located and where I thought the lids were, he probed to make sure where it was and excavated two lids with a shovel, saving the sod. After the tank was pumped out he called me out to explain what he had found and his assessment of any additional work required, then finished the job and called me again for payment. After he was done filling in and replacing the sod I could hardly see where he had dug in the yard! Excellent work by an excellent representative of the company.

Chuck and his crew have this process streamlined to go quickly. There was minimal digging, our front yard was not destroyed and the time with the water turned off was very minimal. All of the crew members are very professional, thorough and cleaned up after themselves. I'm glad we spent the extra money to have this project done correctly.

Based on Angie's List, I hired Chuck's to service my septic tank. It had been 5 years since it was last serviced. Called Chuck's office for an appointment and got quick, professional person to schedule the appointment. They committed to Monday just 5 days later. Morning of appointment, I got a call from the office confirming truck arrival 45 minutes later. Truck arrived right on time. Driver/serviceman Luke was extremely careful backing his truck into our driveway and along the narrow gravel drive to the backyard.. Luke spoke with me first, for a few minutes to make sure he understood what service I wanted. He examine all of the system thoroughly and helped me understand how the system worked. I asked about other services his company offered (drain cleaning) and he explained without shifting into 'sales mode'. No pressure; just information about what they do best. After carefully laying out his vacuum hoses (never touched my delicate plants), he took his time and did his work quickly. When he was cleaning up at the end, I offered my nearby garden hose, which he declined saying he didn't want to dirty my equipment. He brought out his own hose from the truck. That was professional! When the job was done, he closed everything up, cleaned up, and things looked exactly as he found them. After all the service people I have had to watch over closely, it was really refreshing and comforting to see a pro do his job with care and efficiency. I intend to engage this company again, and for other service work. Mr. Chuck: you can be proud of these workers; they represent you well! Book me again for 2 years from now!

Overall it went pretty well. Only one glitch, we were scheduled to have it pumped on Friday afternnoon. I received a call to say the truck was stuck in a huge traffic jamb, and so wouldn't be able to get to our house. We rescheduled for Monday morning... no problem.

It took him about 2 hours to have the septic tank emptied. He gave some good advice on maintaining parts to the tank.

An emergency situation occurred with sewage backing up on a sewer drain into the basement. It was a weekend and I called Chuck's but was unable to reach them, and then called Roto Rooter. Roto Rooter who checked the drain with a camera, could not clear the drain, and concluded the sewer pipes had collapsed. An estimate of several thousand dollars was given to dig up the driveway and put in a 10-20 section to replace clay pipe with new polymer sewer line, including a clean-out. Chuck called back just before I engaged with Roto Rooter, and came out immediately. He inspected the line and cleared the roots in less than a half hour. The line had not collapsed. Chuck indicated Roto Rooter may have mis-directed the camera back into a second drain towards the house instead of out towards the sewer main, and incorrectly concluded that because the camera nearly became stuck (due the angle at which Roto Rooter turned its camera) it must be because the line was collapsed. Chuck's Septic saved me over $3000 in unnecessary repairs. To Roto Rooters' credit, they apologized and did not charge me for any of their work. Chuck also recommended if work was ever done on the line to add a cleanout.

Called to have septic tank pumped. Scheduled me for the next afternoon. Dispatch called to let me know the driver was on the way. Tech was friendly and very helpful.

.We called the company and arranged a date and time. I had asked if they could come earlier in the day if possible .They called and were able to do so. The man came and my husband showed him tank. He worked quickly and was both competent and professional. The priceseemed reasonable for our area and we would use their services again.

Excellent service, from the initial call to service delivery. Quote was provided via phone after some questions about size of tank and distance to tank from area where truck could park. Actual price charged came in under quote. On the day of service, received a call that a truck was on the way, and an estimated arrival time. One the truck arrived, service was completed in a little under an hour. Technician provided some dos and don'ts for ongoing maintenance. Couldn't be happier with the service and professionalism.

Very well. I just want folks to know that it was nice to finally have a company arive on time and go the extra mile without charging extra. I was delayed by about 20 minutes in getting back to my house because I needed to drop off a piece of rental equipment. My wife said the service technician arrived on time and began to clean out the first side of my 2 tank system. Once I arrived, it began to rain hard and I asked the technician how it was going and he said that it was going well with that tank, but the second tank side riser had shifted about 40 percent and was overlapping the clean out lid to the second tank. Rather than beginning to explain that there would be an extra charge, he asked if I had any shovels. I got them from my garage and the technician, my son and I started to dig around the outside of the riser to allow it to shift back to the standard position so the lid could be removed to clean the tank. The technician did a thorough job and explained alot about what he was doing and what can be done to keep the septic system running well. He also cleaned out the junction box since some sludge had built up at the bottom of it too. I was very impressed with his knowledge, willingness to explain what he was doing and there was not an additional charge. I will definitely use Chuck's service in the future!!

They came out right away and pumped the septic tank. They also gave a recommendation of another company to check out my leech fields. Good company to work with in my experience.
