Description of Work: We were giving incorrect information. Problems with installation. Sales person tried to fix something, came late evening without calling first and then wasn't able to fix. Installers installed furnace filter backwards. Would not recommend or use.

Description of Work: They sold me a furnace and it was guaranteed for 10 years. Right away, I had a problem and they came out to fix it at no charge. They had to replace a motor. Their prices are really good and they do a good job.

Description of Work: Furnace Check up and Humidifier filter replacement. They are generally fine. Some of their techs are really good and communicate well. Others just do their business and leave. Backoffice seems a little disorganized sometimes, but in general they're fine. Been using them twice a year since 2002.

THE SALES PEOPLE ARE NOT HONEST AND UP FRONT ABOUT COSTS AND THEY DO NOT DISCLOSE ALL INFORMATION OR MODIFY CONTRACTS TO REFLECT VERBAL AGREEMENTS. MY FIRST CONTACT WITH THIS COMPANY WAS WHEN WE CALLED THEM TO DO SYSTEM MAINTENANCE. THE PERSON THEY SENT LOOKED AT THE FURNACE FOR 10 MINUTES WITH A FLASHLIGHT AND THEN TRIED TO SELL US A WHOLE NEW SYSTEM WITHOUT DIAGNOSING OUR EXISTING SYSTEM WITH PROBLEMS. WE PAID THEM $69 TO TRY AND SELL US A NEW SYSTEM WHICH WE DIDNT NEED, AND THEY DIDNT DO THE MAINTENANCE WE HAD PAID THEM FOR. I TOLD THEM TO KEEP THEIR OFFER (SO I WOULDNT TELL OTHERS ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE), I WAS GONNA LET OTHER PEOPLE KNOW HOW THEY OPERATE. THE TECHNICAL PEOPLE WERE REALLY GOOD, THE SALES PEOPLE ARENT PROFESSIONAL.
Description of Work: PURCHASE OF NEW FURNACE. THEY QUOTED INITIALLY FOR A LENNOX AND THE SALES PERSON SAID HIS PRICE INCLUDED A HUMIDIFIER & A 10 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY. HE CONFIRMED THIS SEVERAL TIMES EVEN THOUGH HE NEVER PROVIDED THE VERBAL AGREEMENT IN WRITING. WHEN THEY CAME TO INSTALL THE SYSTEM THEY TRIED TO INSTALL A SPECIAL FILTER WHICH I HADNT ORDERED AND THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY RECORD OF THE HUMIDIFIER ON THE ORDER. WE CALLED THE SALESMEN AND TOLD HIM ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND HE SAID THE FILTER CAME WITH THE SYSTEM AND WE COULDNT GET THE HUMIDIFIER FOR THE PRICE HE HAD SAID. WE ALSO WERE TOLD THE TOTAL PRICE INCLUDED A 10 YEAR PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY, WHICH HE HAD NEVER INCLUDED IN THE PRICE ANYWAY. SO WHEN WE TOLD HIM WE DIDNT WANT THAT BECAUSE WE DIDNT WANT THE COMPANY BACK OUT TO OUR HOME IT DIDNT CHANGE THE COST BECAUSE THE WARRANTY WAS NOT BUILT IN. THEY WANTED TO INCLUDE A WARRANTY THAT WOULD HAVE COST US $70 PER YEAR OVER 10 YRS, TOTALING $700!

THEY CANNOT COORDINATE INSTRUCTIONS ''WITHIN'' THEIR OWN COMPANY OR BETWEEN THEIR OWN SERVICE PERSONNEL!
Description of Work: AFTER RECEIVING AN INITIAL ESTIMATE FROM ANOTHER HEATING AND COOLING COMPANY, WE CALLED AMERICAN AIR COMFORT TECH TO GET A SECOND ESTIMATE FOR REPLACING AN OUTDOOR A/C CONDENSING UNIT. AFTER DISCUSSING THE BROKEN UNIT WITH THEIR SERVICE TECHNICIAN ON THE TELEPHONE, HE SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT TIME AND INDICATED THAT THIS SERVICE VISIT [TO PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE] WOULD BE DONE ''FREE OF CHARGE''. ON THE SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT DATE AND TIME, AN ''ESTIMATOR'' SHOWED UP AT THE HOUSE TO GIVE US AN ESTIMATE FOR A WHOLE NEW SYSTEM INCLUDING A NEW FURNACE, WHICH WE DIDN''T NEED! AFTER DESCRIBING WHAT WE NEEDED, YET AGAIN, THEY SENT THE ORIGINAL TECHNICAL PERSON OUT TO THE HOUSE. HE WAS OUR FIRST POINT OF CONTACT WITH THE COMPANY AND UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING THAT WE NEEDED TO BE REVIEWED AND ESTIMATED. NAMELY, THE OUTDOOR CONDENSING UNIT. AFTER ALL, WE ALREADY KNEW WHAT WAS BROKEN FROM THE FIRST COMPANY! THIS HE DID BUT NOT WITHOUT LEAVING A BILL FOR $69.00.

BID FOR WORK WAS ABOUT $2,500 LESS THAN THREE OTHER COMPANIES FOR THE SAME WORK. WE PURCHASED TOP OF THE LINE LENNOX FURNACE AND AIR CONDITIONER. THE TECHNICIANS WHO INSTALLED THE SYSTEM WERE PLEASANT, COURTEOUS, AND CLEAN. THEY EVEN CHANGED A COUPLE OF DUCTS FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE. REMOVAL OF THE OLD SYSTEM AND INSTALLATION OF THE NEW ONE WAS COMPLETED IN UNDER SIX HOURS. ALL OF THE OLD EQUIPMENT WAS REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES THE SAME DAY AND THE WORK SITE WAS AS CLEAN AS IF WE HAD DONE IT OURSELVES.
