American Air

Description of Work: August of 2013 at my request American Air provided an estimate for replacement of my HVAC system in my current home. American Air was my preferred supplier but I had to use a different supplier that was selected by the home warranty company. At my previous home in Sept of 2010 American Air replaced my Furnace and then AC unit. Price was the best I could find. American Air's estimator Jeff Ball was more knowledgeable than estimators from the other major companies that provided estimates. Install was great. Furnace and AC ran as expected and provided significant savings.

Description of Work: We bought a new home and it became clear that the heat was not working correctly once the weather was bellow 55 degrees. Our home warranty people called this company. They arrived on a Saturday which I liked. The person who looked at our furnace was here for 10 minutes and told us the furnace was fine but the vents had water in them or had collapsed. We called the company back on Monday to explain that that didn't make since the air conditioning worked fine out of the same vents. I told them that I was unhappy with their decision. I asked them at that time to send someone else out. They agreed to and I took the day off work. They decided that they weren't going to send someone else out after I waited most of the day. I called the company back and told them how unhappy I was. I called Air Source and they came right out and explained that my furnace was twenty years old and that it didn't have enough btus to heat the entire house. They gave me a quote on a new furnace and we will be replacing it soon. Then I got a bill from my warranty company for calling them about a service that didn't need fixed and they were going to charge me $90 dollars based off what Air America charged them. Ridicules!

Description of Work: My air conditioner stopped working last evening. My sister has been a customer of American Air for many years, so I called -hoping that they'd be able to come today. Luckily they could. Joe diagnosed problem, fixed it and was done w/in an hour or so. I'm happy to have it fixed so punctually b/c I work outside -and when it's this hot, I need some relief.
