I called (Jerry) the day before a holiday with my pest dilemma and without hesitation he scheduled me for the next day without charging me additional holiday rates. Affordable Animal Control provided me with quality service. He was punctual as well as professional, and once the raccoon was caught he quickly removed it from ,my property. Affordable Animal Control was successful in removing a squirrel that had gotten into my walls and attic and chewed through siding. They charged $95 plus 59$ per animal removed. They were very prompt in setting up traps on my gutters and caught a squirrel within two days. They gave me the option of checking the traps and contacting them each morning to report my findings rather than pay to have them come out and check the traps. After they caught the squirrel, they immediately reset the traps to see if there were any more problem squirrels. The traps started capturing birds, and they explained that that meant no other squirrels were around my house, so I could fix the entry holes created by the squirrel. I have had no further problems with squirrels.

He did a great a job. He was able to come out right away. He was able to remove the animal.

We hired Jerry after reading few reviews on Angie's List. We had shunks living under our low deck - we were just not sure if they were still there or left but definitely had the shunck smell. Jerry was very punctual in providing a quick phone assessment & visited the next day to set-up two traps near the potential entry points. Jerry will allow you to call in daily before 9 am if there is a catch or no catch - thus saving you a $40 visit cost daily, which worked out great. In comparision to others he was quite competitive on pricing. He explained all the charges upfront clearly. Over the period of appx 10 days we caught 3 shuncks which Jerry promptly took care of the same day each time. What was impressive is the depth of knowledge he has about how nuisance animals work - shuncks can carry rabies, thus u want a professional to manage. He gave me advice on prevention by putting a wire mesh around my deck. Also gave me contractor contacts; however we did the wire mesh ourselves to save costs. Throughout he was very patient & explained all questions I had w/ proper directions to proceed daily. He also gave us Angie's member discount. I would hire him for any animal control situation.

Captured more squirrels than expected. Most likely one or two were not bothering us. Removed all the captured ones from our premises. As far as I know, Mr. Barker relocated them and released them into the wild.

Jerry was very prompt and the most reasonable of those we called. He had to work a long time to remove some of the porch boards and dig under some old concrete steps under the porch to remove the possum. He told us what to do to remove the remaining odor and how to rebuild the porch so no animals would come there again. He gave us the name of someone who could build wire fencing around the base of the porch, if we couldn't do it ourselves. He was very knowledgeable and friendly.

I called many places years ago and he was the person that was the best fit. We have been using him for about 6 years. He has removed opossums, raccoons, groundhogs, squirrels, and skunks. Jerry, the owner, does his own work. He is excellent. He gets the job done. He does not try to push things on you that you do not need. He is very polite. He is very knowledgeable in his field.

After the provider set the animal traps, I checked them and reported daily to him in order to prevent a daily fee for him to check them (which was nice). The traps never caught anything after about a week, but the raccoon was gone by then, and we had the roof repaired. I would have preferred to have caught the raccoon, but having it gone was good enough. I can't say how successful he was or was not, since he didn't have a chance to catch the animal.

Ended up catching 3 squirrels. They came out each time there was a squirrel in the trap that day, and took it far away to be released. They also set up a one way trap on the hole the squirrels made in order to make sure none were still in my attic. They did an excellent job at a very reasonable price.

The prices were about half of the competitors and service was great. They arrived timely and the work was very thorough. I would definitely recommend them to a friend.

Jerry responded quickly to my initial call for service and provided me an estimate over the phone. He came out the next day and placed 4 traps on our roof. It took just about 2 weeks to get all the squirrels out. He was exceptionally easy to work with, responsive, and reasonable. The squirrels were relocated rather than put to rest and that delighted my family. I'd recommend him to anyone and will definitely use him again should the need arise. (Hopefully it doesn't LOL!)

The problem was taken care of and we were quite pleased.

I was very pleased when Jerry finished the work on my house in January. At a price tag of nearly $600, I wasn't super happy with the cost, but Jerry was so friendly and punctual (plus he was out for almost ten days), that I thought it was worth it. Now I have discovered that it wasn't. Jerry had repaired a hole the squirrels chewed through the wood to get into the attic. Little did I know, the entire piece of wood was rotten, and he had only patched the top portion. When a cold snap hit, the squirrels easily chewed through the bottom portion and let them selves right into the attic again. My father-in-law was nice enough to get up on the roof and repair the entire wood board by putting wire mesh and metal flashing over it. And for $10 in materials! Now I'm thinking I paid way, way too much the first time around. I called Jerry to tell him that the squirrels were back, and he offered to come out and do it all again (which means trap 8 squirrels at $60 a squirrel, then repair the hole). I said I couldn't afford it. I didn't ask him for a refund at the time because I had not yet realized that the entire board was rotten. But he did not offer to reimburse me anything, and he didn't offer to come back out without charging me his normal fee. After dealing with the problem a second time, and taking care of it in one day with $10 and my father-in-law, I feel like I really overpaid for Jerry's services. And I feel taken advantage of because he didn't take care of the problem fully the first time. My husband plans on calling him soon to debate the bill. And we will not be using him again.

Jerry set two traps in an effort to catch a skunk. He also suggested that we build up some dirt by where we thought the skunk was entering (to get under the steps) to see if we noticed the dirt being disturbed. He showed us how to open the traps and reset them (in case we caught a cat) - this was useful information as we caught two different cats! Each day we called him by 9:00am to let him know if we caught anything. This helped us to avoid a $40 charge. (he charges $40 if he has to come out and check the traps) - I liked that he had it set up in this way (His cost is lower than other similar companies and I'm guessing this is one way he keeps costs down) We caught a raccoon and he removed the animal from the premises. He charged separately for that. Again, we think he is more reasonable than some other companies. Since the dirt was not disturbed after a couple of days, we figured we'd put up some chicken wire to keep skunks from entering. We weren't going to get to that until the weekend, however. When he picked up the cages he told us to keep an eye on the dirt (in the meantime, until the weekend) and let him know if we saw any activity and he'd bring them back without charging us again for a service call.

I found a sick raccoon in my back yard that was wandering dumbly around like a zombie and showing no fear of me at all. It was quite upsetting; those are symptoms of distemper or rabies. After calling around to a few companies and getting estimates for removing the raccoon, I selected Jerry of Affordable Animal Control. I chose him because he offered the lowest price, and because he had a good rating. I quickly learned why. He showed up less than an hour after receiving my call, and it took longer for me to fill out the payment paperwork than it did for him to take care of the problem. The raccoon was snared and caged in the back of his truck within a couple minutes of his arrival. It was really nice to have that animal out of my yard, and Jerry handled it like a true expert.

He arrived next day in early morning to set live trap. Jerry Barker is professional and informative. I felt comfortable immediately in my dealings with him. Jerry is also a veteran as I. He's a local service provider who keeps his word and schedule. Four animals were captured and picked up each morning during that week. I had a good experience with this company and recommend Affordable Animal Control to others interested in a pest removal.

Fantastic experience. The price for the chimney caps came in WAY below quotes from other companies. And Jerry did a fantastic job. He kept me informed throughout of the price, which I really appreciated. He came out three separate times to remove various animals, and then came out twice more to install the chimney caps. Great company and Jerry is very fair, reasonable and affordable. I will definitely call him first if I ever have any other animal removal needs. HIghly recommended.
