Description of Work: John LaCava came out and assessed the area. He gave us options, we chose one and he gave us a free quote. No pressure. John brought in equipment and removed our old lawn from front and sides of house. He and his crew raked out old roots. Removed old shrubs and bushes from front of house. Dug up Myrtle by front walk. Circled two trees with topsoil and liner. Replanted Myrtle around trees. Landscaped plants in front of house. John chose plants with nice colors and textures, he used plants that would look good during the various seasons. Put liner around flower beds and mulched everything; the Myrtle, the front and sides of house. He coordinated with another company that installed our new irrigation system. When they finished he made sure all was level and brought in topsoil and spread over entire area. Next he seeded with tall fescue. He worked from sun up to sun down most days and was always professional and courteous; letting us know when he would arrive and if we needed to move our cars out of the driveway. John's work ethic exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have asked for anything more.

+ -1 moreHard to reach area in our backyard with years of neglect and dumping. LaCava had the right equipment and personnel to do the job. Even cleaned up areas left by previous tree removal company. Two months later grass has filled in and front and back yard with remaining trees looks like a park.
Description of Work: Scraped off overgrown brush. Hauled away debris: dead trees and leaves. Graded area and brought in crushed limestone for bed of garden shed. Scooped out drainage ditch. Prepared seed bed for lawn. Seeded area and mulched with straw.

+ 0 moreLaCava’s Landscaping was recommended by the company that fertilizes our lawn. I called John on a Friday morning. He was at my house before noon. We discussed what needed to be done and he gave me a quote. I called him back later that day and accepted the quote. He started the project Monday morning and was finished by Wednesday afternoon. The existing lawn was removed with a sod cutter and discarded. Soil was rototilled then leveled with a Bobcat. All rocks/debris were removed. Topsoil was spread. Grass seed and straw were laid. John was courteous, professional, offered suggestions, and did a very detailed job. You can tell he has an honest passion for landscaping. We plan to use LaCava’s again in the future for other landscaping projects. Great job John!
