+ -1 moreFredebaugh came out the same day we called to look at the failed pump. They spent a great deal of time identifying the lowest cost options for us, including giving us a list of parts we could buy that he would use to repair the pump. Ultimately, some parts were not available so he found us the best deal he could on a new pump and tank. Once he had all the parts, they finished the job in about half of a workday. Both father and son were a pleasure to work with and bent over backwards to help us restore our water as cost-effectively as possible. The final bill ended up being less than 1/3 the estimate we received by a much larger plumbing service that came to look at the problem.

Description of Work: When we had no water they were very responsive. Bitter cold winter hindered their ability to work but they arranged for a temporary water supply. Had an issue with one invoice but was satisfactorily resolved. Knowledgeable and easy to work with. Sometimes we waited for a visit when others had no water but we also benefitted from that prioritization early on - see the first line in this comment.

+ -1 moreHe was free to offer advise to fix the problem and did not try to get easy money from me. He could have just told me when he would be out and charge me $95 for a service call. Very professional and helpful. He returned my call promptly after I called to let him know his advise worked and provided further info to prevent future freezing. Excellent service. Thank you Hewitt.
Description of Work: I called Hewitt and told him that I was w/o water. I wasn't sure of the problem but was worried that my pump in my well had gone bad. Hewitt advised me to place a drop light with a 100 watt bulb down the well at about 3 feet as it was more that likely frozen. I placed the light as advised and within 1 hour I had water. I called Hewitt to let him know and he provided more helpful information to prevent freezing of the pipe. He would have been out within hours of the call as he was already on a job, but because of his advise it was not necessary and there was no charge to me. If I were in need of work on my well I would call him again.

+ -1 moreRan out of water on Tues. Called Fredebaugh on Tues. afternoon. They came out and checked the situation on Tues. late afternoon. Showed up on schedule on Wed. and they were done in 2 hours. Had all the water I needed as they had resupplied me with 100 gallons to my reservior tanks.
Description of Work: Needed a new well pump installed. Very good deal on a "hand pull" job. We are on a hill and you can't pull close to the well head with any equipment.

+ -1 moreIt went great. My pump is running normally now. I will be able to see about the sediment when I change the filters next time. I was also very relieved about the price. I thought it would be a lot more for what they did.
Description of Work: We had been getting a lot of sediment on our filter recently. I was planning on calling Fredebaugh's for service. On Sunday night my wife was in the basement while my son was in the shower. She noticed the pump was turning on and off about every 30 - 45 seconds. Normally the tank fills up and the pump does not need to fill back up for a much longer period of time. I called Fredebaugh's Monday morning and they had a crew out that morning. Our holding tank was bad so they had to replace it. They also thought that our sediment issue was caused by the pump constantly running and stirring the water in the well.. They also showed me how to chlorinate my well since I had never done it before.

+ -1 moreFredebaugh Well Drilling company did the original work on my well back in 1988. I have used them twice since then to do minor service to the pump and they are really professional to work with. I called in the morning to say I had no water and they came right away to fix the problem. They made suggestions for work that can be done in the future and will be sending me an estimate. The service was very affordable and they took the time to explain the work they were doing. I will gladly use them in the future.
