Everyone who comes into our home immediately comments on how beautiful our floors look. All ofthis work was squeezed into a tight last-minute time frame. Amazing job. Thank you!

My wife and I hired David Caldwell of Fabulous Floors to resurface and refinish about 600 sq feet of our badly beaten middle level flooring. We contracted David to perform the work while we were out of town which we felt would work best so that the floors had time to dry without us tracking around the house too early causing issues. Our neighbors were able to let the workers into our home in the morning and lock up after they left. We had our reservations about allowing people in our home while we were gone but everything went extremely well and we are very happy with the work that was done. David communicated well, responding quickly to text messages and phone calls. The work was started on Saturday 6/13 and finished Wednesday 6/17. Workers were off on Sunday and were unable to work on Tuesday due to the humidity in the house preventing the floors from drying on time. We moved in our furniture the Monday we returned. We ended up scratching the floor in a small area while moving our piano. David was happy to offer suggestions on how to fix this ourselves which we were happy to do! Overall very satisfied, will be hiring David to do other work in the future when needed.

David Caldwell was very flexible in working with us as we didn't get into the house on the date we had originally planned. Once in the work went smoothly and professionally and we are happy with the results. The only drawback was that they don't haul away the removed carpet.

David was very responsive and professional. The service resolved some issues (covered some light scratches, and was completed with a new satin finish that I prefer to the old high-gloss finish), but resulted in some additional issues. The resurfacing took the finish down below the old finish (to the unfinished wood), which then had to be stained and refinished. The new stain and new finish do not match the old.

Dave did a great job from start-to-finish. He first came a few months back to assess our hardwood floors in our 28 year old home that we have lived in for 13 years. We are getting ready to put the home on the market to sell. He made an assessment and determined two small "separate high-traffic living areas" were in need of re-surfacing. He felt that the other areas were in good shape. He came on the date & time requested and completed the work within an hour via a manual method. We are pleased with how the floors turned out.

This company completely turned around the appearance of my floor. He was right on time and came prepared to work. My floor went from old and dull looking to bright and shiny. He worked quickly and completely cleaned up afterwords. Other than the sparkling floors you would never know he had been here.

The results were superb! Beforehand, the floors were in quite a mess with different rooms having unique and strange problems. David is the main contractor at Fabulous Floors. He took care of each problem appropriately, and he was efficient, too. On the large bedroom -- it is upstairs in a Cape-Cod-style house -- the whole second floor was remodeled much later after the house was built. At that time, a quality hardwood floor was installed, but it never had finish applied. It looked dirty and dull, and it was not a positive image for my rental home. David recommended a solid approach to this large area. He first deep-cleaned the floor to remove decades on ground-in dirt. Then he prepped the area (including vacuuming), and applied a coat of polyurethane. His idea was to see how the floor responded to only 1 coat of poly. If it needed more, then we'd do a second coat. After a day of drying time, I could see that the floor was very thirsty, and it had really soaked in the poly at many spots. So, that gave it an uneven sheen as one looked at it -- but that is OK, because we were working on a floor that was 40+ years old with no protection. Two weeks later, the rest of the home got the resurfacing service from David. We had held off on that portion because of repairs being done in those rooms. The upstairs bedroom also got a 2nd coat of poly; that room now looks great with its nice-and-even low gloss sheen.

Our floors look like new!! We had several spots on our steps and on our kitchen floor that were worn down to the bare wood. I didn't think our floors and stairs could ever look this good again. We are thrilled!

He was on time and did a wonderful job on the floors. He even cleaned the vents without us asking him to do it. He was professional, courteous and answered all of our questions. The floors look amazing. We will definitely use him again.

We had our carpet professional remove carpet that had been placed over a cherry wooden floor in a kitchen. The kitchen floor adjoins a foyer entryway that includes more cherry wood flooring. Fabulous Floors brought in a few flooring professionals to refinish the floor - including sanding, resurfacing and adding wooden trim. They did a good job except for an area where the floor lacquer looked "poured on" and uneven. It took some time, but they finally returned to work on that area again. Although the area with the uneven surface wasn't fixed quite as well as we might expect, the overall job made the flooring look nice.

I want to make sure I was not charged for this service. Company did not do the service as requested. They could not bring the floor back to what I wanted using their method. Thanks

He came out a few days after I purchased the certificate. He measured the floors and it was more work than included in the deal so there were extra charges. He refinished the kitchen floor our breakfast area and foyer. The service worked out well.

We initially purchased an Angie deal to recondition a wood floor. We had met Dave at the Cincinnati Flower Show. He spent a lot of time with us then answering many questions. We had a damaged and worn finish on our floor from the many pets we owned. We have decided to put our home on the market and needed to get the work done quickly. Dave responded within a half hour to our purchase. We scheduled the next day. He was awesome. We were unsure whether we should recondition or refinish. He explained both. No pressure! After we made our decision he was able to schedule us quickly. I did not think to ask about moving the refrigerator so not sure how they handle that. My husband took care of that. They sealed the rest of the house with plastic barriers and even created a barrier that kept the inquisitive cats off the floor. The refinishing project took 3 days. It was beautiful! We stayed off it for another week and it still looks brand new a month later. The only thing I wish is we had done it sooner.

Sanded and stained floor first day. Put a coat of polyeurathane second day. Put second coat of poly eurathane third day. Left place perfect.i

It was easy to schedule an appointment and he was on time. I really appreciated his honesty. He carefully assessed our outcome goals and then told us that we would not be pleased with the results of the simple non-sanding resurfacing. (The floors are pretty far gone!) He still measured everything and gave us a quote and also told us what he thought we could do to get them looking new again. (This rep didn't do the needed kind of full-refinishing, but he would contract with someone to have it done.) He understood that wasn't in our budget at this time, but gave us the info for future reference. So, all in all- I was delighted with the interaction. Not the answer I wanted, but I was so thankful to discover that prior to spending money rather than after! When we have the funds for the sanding/refinishing, we will definitely be giving them a call.

David came out and gave us a quote on refinishing our floors. I met him at a local home show where he had set up a booth. fI enjoyed the conversation, and he agreed to come out and look at the floor. He came out on time to look at the job. He was on time. Dave is the owner of the company. I always prefer to work with owners when I can. He is easy going....a guy that you would want to do business with. However, although his company was the lowest bid of the three quotes that I received, I decided to use someone else. Essentially, it came down to the fact that the other provider had a better history of listings and grades on Angie's List. It was a tough decision as I liked Dave personally and thought that he would do a competent job. In the end, I went with my gut and not the lowest bidder.

They were excellent! They showed up when they said they would, their price was less then other, higher rated providers, their work was done quickly and efficiently, and they cleaned up after themselves very well.

We came home to some beautiful floors! We did notice over the weekend that he missed a few small spots, which were hard to catch due to the lighting. I called him this morning and he already has come out to fix those few spots. I am very impressed. Our floors are twenty years old and they look great now. The floors are shining and pretty.

We used a groupon coupon and then paid additional. The floor looked great until it started peeling. Looks like it got a sunburn. Our floor was fine we just wanted it to shine a little more. It now is horrible and will have to be refinished or replaced. The coating has peeled off and the floor is dull and blotchy not at all a floor anyone would want. No amount of cleaning can bring it back to its formal self

Everything was excellent overall! They did a great job and were very professional. They were also polite, easy to work with, and left the area clean.

We had to remove everything from the rooms (that was the biggest job for us) plus sliding closet doors, for easy access for the sander. . He came early in the morning, worked all day without a break, and finished in the afternoon. The spots probably took as long as the whole floor, but having lived here for the life of the home (1971), one would expect to have these. The rooms were left empty (to harden/season) for 2 days before we replaced the furniture and area rugs. This time we used furniture pads to rest our furniture on so we don't scratch the floors. (Something we have never done before, which is one reason why we had several bad spots.) When all was done, we were very happy with the service/professionalism, the outcome of our floors, the low cost to have this completed, and will refer anyone and everyone to Mr. Caldwell.
