+ -1 moreIt didn't go well and I would avoid this guy like the plague.
Description of Work: Tim Brown left an unsolicited proposal in our front door -- I guess he was driving the neighborhood looking for dead trees. It was a reasonable offer to cut it down and cut it up so I called him on it. He returned my call and we set up an appointment at 10 AM the next day. He did not show so I called him and he said his truck broke down and he would be out later to do the job. I called him again late in the day and he said he would do an "extra good job" cleaning up the mess if I would spot him $100 up front so he could get his truck towed / repaired because he was a little "short". I told him I would not pay him until services were complete. He then got short with me and said he would try to get a ride out so he could take down the tree. I don't trust the guy and believe that he is a scammer as others have reported. I will not do business with him if he tries to contact me again. I also question the address that he uses as his business address as it is a very large estate which is currently for sale -- just a hunch.

Description of Work: Tim Brown left a note on my door to have some trees cut down. The price was very reasonable so I agreed. He came and cut down the trees as we had arranged and i paid him for this job. He then offered to grind the tree stumps down. He asked for the money up front so he could rent the grinder. I paid him in a check. He cashed the check and never showed up to do the work. I called multiple times and he always had an excuse. I eventually had to speak with the local police and after threatening to file a police report he finally returned my money to me. He is a scammer, don't trust him.

+ -1 moreTim Brown left an estimate at my door to cut down a tree. When I left a message for him, he called back right away and arranged to do the work the next day. Very punctual and obviously wanted the work. He left the backyard in a complete mess. He then called back and offered to haul away the tree and clean up the mess. We agreed on an amount, and I paid him part of it. He took the money and never returned. He has not returned any of my phone calls. This guy is a scammer.
Description of Work: Tim cut down a tree and was paid for doing that work. He then agreed to remove the tree and the mess he left. He took payment and never returned.

+ -1 moreTIM OF EXPERT TREE AND LANDSCAPE WAS VERY EASY TO WORK WITH. HE CANVASED THE NEIGHBORHOOD LOOKING FOR TREES IN DISTRESS AND THEN LEFT QOUTES FOR THEIR REMOVAL. ABOUT A WEEK LATER HE FOLLOWED UP WITH A PERSONAL VISIT TO REVIEW THE QOUTE. WE WERE ABLE TO HAGGLE ON THE PRICE A LITTLE BIT AND HE SAFELY REMOVED THE TREES WE DISCUSSED. I AM AN AVID DIY'ER BUT I MUST ADMIT I WAS INTIMIDATED AT TACKLING THOSE MONSTERS. I WAS THANKFUL HE WAS ABLE TO HELP ME OUT AND HAVE BEEN PASSING HIS CARDS OUT IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. SEVERAL OTHERS HAVE USED HIM AND EVERYBODY APPEARS TO BE PLEASED.
Description of Work: CUT DOWN 5 DEAD OR DYING TREES ON OUR PROPERTY. TREES WERE IN EXCESS OF 60 FEET AND ON WAS 28' IN DIAMETER. THE TREES WERE SAFELY DROPPED AND CUT UP INTO MANAGABLE SIZED FOR REMOVAL.
