This is a dated report submitted in response to a call for reports on this vendor so it may not have current relevance. I found Mr. Doak to be very knowledgable about my animal removal problem and he performed the work promply for the price quoted. It was a difficult job and required setting traps on the roof of my house which is how the squirrels were entering the attic. The two squirrels were effectively trapped and removed to my and my wife's relief. We were then able to sleep throughout the night without disturbing squirrel noises and the resulting damage they could have done.

Very, very well. He was prompt and efficient.

Doaks arrived shortly after he was called (2:30AM) and started to search our house for the Bat. The Bat was captured a short time later and removed. The very next night the exact same incident occurred again (the odds of this happening two nights in a row are quite high...there is speculation that both bats entered at the same time with one being caught the first night and the second on the next night). We contacted Doak's again to remove the second Bat. He also did a thorough inspection of the attic for potential entry areas and took some corrective actions.

Called and the phone was answered. I believe I called on a Friday and Doak's was here on Monday morning, assessed the problem areas and set the traps for the squirrels that had eaten their way into the roof of my front porch. Doak was very professional and knowledgable of his profession. He trapped one squirrel when he was here. He left a trap for the rest of the squirrels. I called/texted Doak as the squirrels were trapped; four total. He picked them up and and let them go into the wild. No more squirrels! Thanks Doak! If I have anyother animal removal issues, I will definitely call him!

We contacted the company on a Saturday and he was unable to come out until Tuesday (Monday was a holiday) - however, on Tuesday evening we called because he had not shown up and he seemed to have forgotten our appointment. He reset the appointment for Wednesday - needless to say we were not thrilled to have the raccoon keeping us awake at night, in our house. He came out and set a trap with special "cookies" - it rained that evening and there was no animal in the morning. We called him to reset the trap and he came out on Friday to reset the trap with new cookies. We did have a raccoon on Saturday morning!!! He wanted to reset the trap again, in case it was not the raccoon from the attic. He reset it and on Sunday there was another raccoon. He did take care of the removal, we had to stay on top of the communication and maintaining appointments, he was rude on one day but he did apologize and state that he was dealing with family issues. Overall, it was a mediocre experience. It was $95 for the consultation and $55 per animal removed.

He was very prompt in returning my call as well as available to look into the problem the same day. I would recommend his services.

I noticed a squirrel hop onto my roof with nesting material in its mouth, and then later that night head scampering in the ceiling between my living room and the second floor of the house! I contacted 2 companies on Angie's List first thing the next morning-- one of which didn't get back to me till the following afternoon-- and Doak answered immediately and said he could come out that afternoon. He found the hole the squirrel had made and set 3 traps on the gutter and roof next to the hole. One squirrel was trapped the next morning, and Doak removed it that evening (well within the 24 hours the law requires-- about 8 hours after I called/the animal was trapped-- though it was a rainy day and the animal seemed to have succumbed to exposure in that amount of time). No animals were caught in the next several days, and I didn't hear any more sounds in the ceiling or walls, so Doak came back on Monday to remove the traps and seal the hole and cover the wood where the animal had gnawed a hole. Overall he was very thorough and went to a special effort to get metal flashing that would match my house, and charged much less than a handyman would have to come out and install that over the exposed wood the animal had gnawed into. I'd definitely recommend him. I hope not to need his services again, but if I do, I'll definitely be calling him!

Everything was excellent. He called back right-away and was able to come out immediately and remove the animals and that was effective. He set more traps, but he did not catch anymore.

He did excellent work. He was always prompt about picking up the squirrels when we called to say one had been trapped. He also repaired the holes the squirrels had made at no extra charge. I will definitely use him again.

The owner, Doak, was very informative and knowledgeable. He assessed the problem quickly and did what needed to be done. Since the animals left on their own and they ended up not getting caught in the traps, he didn't charge any extra fees. All he did was come out and take down the traps. He was very understanding of the animals leaving on their own.

We called Doak at about 9 PM on a weekday evening. He quoted us a fair and very reasonable after hours price over the phone and then arrived by 10PM. He dismantled our fireplace doors and removed some wood and insulation that had been placed over the damper. He attempted to get the bat, but the little bugger flew back up the chimney. Doak then removed debris from our fireplace and helped us close the damper and seal it with a silicone caulk (something we had not thought of). He went above and beyond his job responsibilities and worked for almost 2 hours. Despite that, he did not charge us more than he quoted. He was very personable and professional.

Everything went quite well...start to finish. Will use him again this spring to install chimney cap.

It couldn't have gone better. He was professional, patient and easy to work with. When I first called him he was concerned that there wouldn't be anything that he could do except set traps and let me know up front that there was an extra charge for after-hours work. I had seen the raccoons several times and thought he might be able to catch them without traps so he agreed to come out. He quickly ascertained where the raccoons had entered the house (through the chimney) and offered to come back the next day (weather permitting) to cap it for us for only the cost of the cap, no service fee. He spent an hour or so patiently trying different ways to coax the raccoons out of the wall (despite the fact that it was getting late) and after he'd caught them he put a temporary seal over the pipe through which they'd come to make sure that nothing else climbed in during the night.

Doak returned my call promptly and was flexible in setting an appointment time. He arrived promptly at 3:00 pm. He took time to inspect my property and listened to and answered my questions. He located the skunk in a window well and offered to not only remove the animal but to place covers over the wells to prevent animals from falling or crawling in again. He made it clear an additional charge would be incurred. After he removed the skunk and placed the covers, he showed me how the covers were attached to the wells and how to remove or adjust them. He seemed very knowledgeable about animals. I was very pleased with his service.

Doak responded quickly to our call and the two squirrels were caught within a couple of days. He came out a total of three times to set, reset and then remove the traps. He definitely knows what he is doing w/r/t animals and it was a relief that he dealt with the squirrels rather than me or my husband.

I called to report a loud scratching or chewing sound between the first and second floors of my home. It seemed like a squirel or large rat must be the culprit due to the amount of noise. Doak inspected the outside walls and roof, and found that the screen behind the attic vent on the side of the house had an opening torn in the corner. He went inside and climbed in the attic and found evidence of mice (holes cut in the insulation, small droppings) and some chew marks in the wood so Doak determined it must be just mice. I was very surprised since the noise was so loud. Doak recommended some brands of rat poison, but he is not licensed to use it so that is up to me to do. Doak was very knowledgeable and helpful, and came out the same day that I called, he travels every day so he can cover alot of territory. I have to say that the price was a bit steep and I would have rather hired someone who could provide a complete solution, but he did a good job in identifying the problem.

After lying awake night after night and listening to animal activity in our attic, I called Doak's. Mr. Grant answered the phone, let me know when he was available and arrived at the expected time. He walked with me around the house explaining what he was looking for and carefully inspected our attic too. He determined our problem was with mice. Although he does not remove mice, he did recommend a solution to our problem. We followed his advice and haven't had a problem since.

We selected this company from Angie's List, among the highest rated options. Doak Grant was very friendly and professional when we called him. He was very responsive and came to the house the same day. He explained the problem, the cause, and the likely solutions. He was honest/realistic enough to recommend that we hire a professional roofer to implement the fix. Each time we found a squirrel had been caught, Doak came the same day to repatriate them. Whenever he said he would "be there", he showed up exactly as described. Very reliable and professional. I highly recommend his excellent service.

Doak's name was given to me by John Ware of Wildlife Removal Service who I had called after checking Angie's List. Doak came right away, found the hole that the squirrels had made to enter the house, set live traps and explained the process. He made 7 visits: one to set the traps initially, 4 to remove squirrels that had been trapped, once to reset a trap, and once to patch the hole after all the squirrels were out. He always answered his cell phone or called back within 5 minutes, and he came to the house promptly. He seemed very knowledgeable about animal behavior and squirrel removal.
