Doak's Animal Removal Service

I have used them for approximately the last 9 months. I have always had a problem with raccoons getting in the chimney….they were prompt, always came back when another trap needed setting, and very reasonable.

We discovered scratching noise in our attic, called around and Doak came over at the same day. He identified that was most likely from raccoon and her family. As that could be a very savvy/trap shyed raccoon, she never got in trap. I finally discovered where did she hide herself and her 4 cubs, Doak rushed over in 2 hours given that was Saturday afternoon and he's server other customers in the opposite side of the city, we got the 4 cubs. He patched the 2 entries the raccoon mom made, we finally were able to have a peace of mind. Very professional and easy to work with, trying his best to make sure the best satisfaction to his customers.

It enabled me to get my roof fixed so we could stop the squirrels from returning. Doaks was very professional and I would recommend him highly!

He came right on time, put cage on roof. He must have scared them because the raccoons left that night never to return. Doak was wonderful and taped up the entry that raccoons got in and even cleaned out the gutter while he was up there! Would definitely call him again.

Sunday morning I heard thrashing/thumping sounds in the vent above the stove. It was obvious some type of animal was trapped in there. Out of several companies I contacted, he was one of the few to actually answer the phone call and the only one who was willing to come out that same say. He came out that same afternoon. He was on-time, was polite, and seemed very knowledgeable. He got in our attic and was able to trap and remove the bird. He also gave us some hints for preventing this from happening again. I didn't get quotes from any other companies, so I'm not sure how his price compared, but it seemed reasonable, especially given that we didn't know what we might be dealing with and that we wanted it out immediately! I would definitely call him again!

After large amounts of rain and snow melt, e creek on our property was rushing with vast energy and sound. While sipping my Sunday morning coffee admiring the sun glistening on the water I noticed 4 hoofs sticking straight up in the air. The receding waters revealed an 8 point buck carcass stuck by his antlers. Having only lived in the home one week and my significant other out of town tending to his ill mother, I became very anxious! What to do? Two out of town families were staying with us for Christmas break and I could only imagine use of the hot tub would be spoiled by the impending stench!! So, after leaning the city of Montgomery would not remove the dead animal on private property, I looked on Angie's List for carcass removal. I left one message at the first provider. I didn't expect them to be in since it was Sunday and the Bengals were playing! I read reviews about Doak and decided to give him a call. He answered on the first ring. He arrived in 3 hours and went to work. I couldn't believe what I saw. That man, Doak, wow....he single-handedly pulled that water filled, swollen deer out of that creek, 300 yards up a steep ravine. He used a series of pulleys and ultimately ropes tied to his truck and finally removed the foul smelling creature. It was frigid cold outside and Doak worked for about 90 minutes to get it done. That man could've pulled a Volkswagen out of that creek. It was awe inspiring! Only wish my three sons would've been there to watch the man in action and learn a few things! Thank you Doak!! Hoping I don't need you again, but you are the man for the job!!!

I had very a very good experience. He is the bravest guy in the world. He went above and beyond his job. He noticed a Wasp nest on the second floor of my home as he was leaving and removed it for me. He didn't even bother to charge for that service He went up in my attic in July removed old droppings, look to see for a current rodent problem. He was a great and professional extremely professional guy, brave and I would definitely recommend him. I would use him again in the future.

They were excellent. They then patched the whole. He was prompt and professional.

Mr. Doak was very pleasant to deal with, he answered all the questions we had. He was able to provide proof of insurance, liability, worker's comp., etc. Although he wasn't able to make it as early as he had previously said, he kept in constant communication with me throughout the day to let me know when he would be able to make it out. We were just very thankful that he was able to make it out on the same day. There are some people out there that will take advantage of a situation and charge you an arm and a leg for a service like this, however he was very fair with his price especially for the work he did. It was pretty hot that day (close to 90 degrees) and he was up in the attic for a good amount of time, so you can imagine what it felt like in there. He also provided recommendations for future care to keep this from happening again. I would certainly recommend Mr. Doak's to anyone that needs help with any animal removal services!

I had some starlings in my attic that were drviving me mad. I called Doak's Animal Removal Service around 10am. and he said he could be here before noon. He was prompt and got right to the task. We identified where the starlings were coming in and we was able to close off the hole and also put up some old soffets that I still had. He was prompt, friendly and very professional. I would certainly use his service again.

I was out of town on business on Thursday when my wife called me to confirm what I needed Doak to do. The squirrel had damaged the PVC pipe elbow at the top and Doak replaced it. He also checked the roof ridge vents where we had had a previous squirrel problem, and checked the eves for any other possible squirrel damage or entry points. He found none. When I got home on Friday I inspected Doak's work and noted that he hadn't put any kind of protective screen on the top of the pipe and the squirrel was chewing on the replacement PVC elbow. I called Doak immediately and he answered promply and said no problem, he would stop back at our house as soon as possible to make the repairs. He came by very quickly and added some wire screening to keep the squirrel from further damaging the pipe at no extra charge. Great Service! Thank you Doak!

(NOTE: This review is later than I would have liked, but given a relocation and job change, I was not able to complete the review more timely. It in no way is a reflection upon the work that Mr. Grant provided as we were very pleased with the services he provided.) In early September, we heard the sound of animals in our attic and found that a squirrel had chewed a hole in the soffit and taken refuge in our attic. Our home was under contract, so the timeliness of removal was very important to ensure that we could make the necessary repairs and make the sale with no concerns that we had removed all of the squirrels. Mr. Grant was very responsive to my initial call and understood our concerns for prompt removal in light of the pending sale. He was very professional and also educated us on the removal process. The mother squirrel and one of the babies was caught within a day or two and Mr. Grant promptly removed them. Based upon our observations, he installed a one-way trap which was effective in removing the remaining squirrels. Obviously, we were very concerned given our time line with the pending sale, but Mr. Grant was able to remove them all and allowed us adequate time to ensure a proper repair prior to our closing date. Mr. Grant also was kind enough to keep the one-way trap installed until the repairs could be made, ensuring that no new critters took refuge in the home.

I contaced Doak's Animal Removal Service regarding noises eoming from attic/walls. He gave me an appointment for the next day but was able to work me in the same afternoon. He inspected the house inside and out and provided recommendations to prevent animals from getting in to the house. Work was complete in about 30 minutes.

Mr. Grant did a great job in removing a large birds nest from my attic. I originally didn't know what type of nest it was because it was very large (it filled 4 garbage bags!). Doak quickly diagnosed the situation and was able to remove the nest. Very professional and courteous. Great to work with.

I continue to use Doak's Animal Removal Service. Doak is fantastic! He has been to our house multiple times over the past year and I will continue to use him. He is sweet to my dogs, very friendly, and a pleasure to be around and do business with. I feel lucky to have found him!

Doak came out right away, was on time and professional. He even took before and after photos so that I could see how well everything was cleaned up.

I got them from Angie's List, and they answered when I called. They charged $120 for setting up of the traps and then $65 for each animal they caught. I would highly recommend them to anybody. The guy came out that day and did what he said he was going to do.

He arrived on the dot, was very professional, and gave good solid advice. He had the tools with him needed to complete the job, which saved me another trip to the house, which is vacant.

it was great. Doak is a friendly caring person who is a one man shop. He contacted us immediately. Came out immediately and did the work quickly. He was not the least expensive, but he was worth the price we paid as he took care of the problem and gave us tips to keep this from happening.

They were fine. They were responsive and resolved the issue.

He was very quick to respond and said he could come out the same day to inspect the house for squirrel activity. I chose not to hire him because he did not do repairs and the possible point of entry was 30 feet up in a gutter.

Found signs of some small animal infestation and worked to resolve this problem. Mr. Grant was very helpful and professional. I found him to be honest and knowledgeable about his area of expertise

Doak came out the day after I called and set a trap, and told me to call when something had been caught. It took two nights for the skunk to show up. I called Doak and he was out within the hour to remove the skunk. He re-set the trap in case there was another animal, and after several days with no other animals I called and he came to get the trap. Doak was knowledgeable and friendly. The service call was $95, with 10% off for Angie's List members, and the price per animal caught was $65. I felt it was a little expensive, but we weren't about to deal with a skunk on our own. The prices could be in line with other companies, though--I didn't call around very much. I would use Doak's services again.
