The washer in my rental unit was not emptying properly and I called Phil who made time to meet with me the next day. He was early and did a thorough inspection to identify the problem. He needed a specific part that was rather hard to find, so we agreed he would find the part and then come back to install it. After searching for the part he told me that the part was expensive and it would take at least two weeks to get it in. He offered to make a part for me, which was far less expensive or time consuming. He assured me if this didn't work, he'd get the other part and install it. He made the part (which my husband said was quite a brilliant "MacGyver" effort) and came back to install it, but when he arrived the water had been turned off because of a frozen pipe repair. He installed the part but could not test it to make sure all was OK. Once the water was turned on again, we tested it and there was still water leaking, so he came back a third time (due to no fault of his own, because he would have tested it the first time had the water been available). In just a few minutes he made a minor adjustment and all has been well since. Phil is a great guy with an "old time" service orientation. Even though the third trip was not his fault, he still didn't ask me to pay for it. I sent him a check anyway because he had to drive almost a hour each way to our condo. I would hire him again in a second and have already made multiple referrals to his business. Thank you, Phil, for restoring my faith in appliance repair providers!

I've used him twice for the dishwasher. I really liked him. He could have tried to rip me off and sell me a new dishwasher but he found a little piece that was wrong and he fixed it. He is a nice guy and he is honest and won't rip me off.

Over the weekend, our dishwasher quit filling up with water. Suspected the float might be bad. Called Phil on Monday afternoon. He was out the next day at 10:30AM. I told him what was wrong. He immediately checked the float and switch. He found that a couple of the screws holding the switch had come loose, probably from thirteen years of vibration. He tightened them up and the dishwasher started working like a champ. Of course, I was only charged a service call. It was certainly a lot cheaper than buying a new one...$500 - $1300! It's also nice to know that there are still people out there that don't take advantage of someone who doesn't quite know all of the ins and outs of a particular situation. He could have replaced parts I didn't need. Thanks Phil!!
