We met with Nate on on April 3, 2014 and he was great. He was very knowledgeable, had TONS of creative ideas, and provided us with a huge book to look through for additional ideas. We told him everything that we wanted done, as well as our budget, and he was able to work with us. Nate and his crew began work on April 5 and it was all finished two days later. Everything looks awesome and we'll be using him for any future projects we have. I highly recommend!

The process took about a week. They came out and followed up with an email. The owner was really personable and knew the products. We had three estimates and he was the most knowledgeable. Something that stood out was that he brought pictures of past work. They will start the work on Wednesday.

The crew showed up as scheduled this morning and proceeded to remove the dead plants and start the spring clean up. All damaged plants and trees have been replaced and new black mulch has been added along with some bark chips around all the pines.

Nothing! After showing up for an estimate, never heard from Twinscapes (Sam) until I emailed a month later only to learn that it would "pass" on our relatively routine work request.

Called and talked to Sam and he was very responsive but was 2 months out on work and suggested his brother. They both own the company but have 2 different crews. He left the message for his brother and his brother (Nate) did return the call the next day. We scheduled a time for Tuesday, June 3rd at 7:30 pm (this was a week out). Now this was a time he selected. I made sure my wife switched to get off early (works 12 hour shifts) so she could be here. We waited and no show. I called at 8:00 pm that night to see if there was any issues and left a message. I am still waiting for a call back. I will look elsewhere. I have used Angie's List for 9 years now and this is the first strike out I have had when someone is rated an A.

They did a great job and I have no problems with their work, but I spent about $7,000 on the landscaping alone and because of the harsh winter, we lost a lot of the trees and bushes. I sent him an email on 3/24. One of the two owners responded and scheduled an appointment to come look at the yard. On 4/29 he said to hope to get to it next week. He did come by on 5/16 in the evening and he agreed that the winter. I understand he's busy, but I spent a lot of money on this work and would like them to stand behind it. I have done everything possible to get them to correct the problem. I have left him voicemails, emails, and texts. I have dead trees and bushes in my landscaping and they will not respond and have ignored all of my correspondence.

My wife and I met with Sam to talk about our backyard which was a complete blank slate with little to no landscaping to speak of. After a simple discussion of what we would like to see in the patio, Sam promptly delivered a design within our budget which captured exactly what we were looking for and beyond. Instead of straight forward steps, Sam created a more sophisticated 3-step half circle design which contrasts the patio while perfectly fitting the look of our home. He raised the firepit and enlayed it with the brick paver we used to set off the entire look. He made suggestions about our project we may never even considered on our own. We cannot say enough good things about Sam and his crew. They were what all professional companies should be, ( Punctual, Patient, Caring, Quality and they also cleaned up very well after themselves.) You can tell by the work done that Sam and his entire crew, (all of whom were polite and did a great job for us) really put forth a great effort to make us the best hardscape possible. I have no hesitation on recommending Twinscapes Landscaping LLC. I wish all my decisions were this easy and successful!

One of the brothers called me that week, asked if his brother had been in contact and I said no, he was the first to contact me. He was calling from the soccer fields I believe and asked when I was looking to have the work done as they were booked out to July. I said not a problem, at this point, probably not until the fall but I would like an estimate so I could plan appropriately financially. We agreed for him to come to my house on Sunday afternoon, 5/18/14. No one showed up that afternoon, so I emailed them again Sunday night requesting to reschedule with a more specific timeframe so I wouldn't be housebound again for a weekend afternoon. No one responded to my email so I resent another email on 5/22 (this is a chain of emails so they could see my previous emails) asking if they had received my previous email...NO RESPONSE. If they are too busy to respond to client requests or track appointments, they should hire a temp or someone to manage that for them. Very unprofessional and I was disappointed as they had great review on Angie's List and some of their pictures showed the type of patio I was looking for.

Sam came out to give us an estimate to repair our paver patiio, replacing bushes around it, removing edging, & spring cleanup.at the end of March. At the end of April it became apparent other bushes had died. I emailed him and he was happy to replace those also. His group started on a Wednesday afternoon and finished the next day. The patio edging was all replaced, the edges were leveled ( it was sinking toward downward toward the house) and power washed. Polymeric sand was brushed in between the pavers . The black edging all around the beds was removed. All the beds were edged. Bushes and trees were trimmed. Old dead privets, apple spires and azaleas were removed and replaced with viburnum and double knock out roses. They even removed a magnolia tree that had gotten so large it was shading the vegetable garden. The patio was sealed the next week due to weather. Can't say enough about this company. Excellent work, flexible & accommodating. Love my yard!

I cannot say enough about the fantastic experience we had with Sam and Twinscapes. I wish I could include pictures with my review because words are not enough to describe the total transformation of our backyard resulting from the patio and landscaping Twinscapes installed. We first met with Sam in November 2013 to discuss general ideas for a new patio and landscaping. Within a week, Sam had returned a detailed design and corresponding estimate, including prices for multiple options. Quoted options included Sam's recommendations for design elements that would bring the entire look together. Fast forward to March 2014. We contacted Sam to let him know we'd like to move forward with the project. He met with us to review the original design and discuss the options available to us. Upon finalizing our decisions, Sam set up a date for the installation. The installation began exactly as scheduled and was completed within the timeframe quoted. Sam and his crew were extremely punctual, efficient, respectful, and professional. The site was kept tidy on a daily basis. Upon completion, Sam and one of his crew members walked the site with us to point out areas of special note, explain the LED lighting controls, and give an overview of required plant care. We have an existing irrigation system installed, and Sam worked directly with our irrigation contractor to coordinate the logistics with respect to the irrigation lines before and after the patio installation. In the past, we've had more than one landscaping contractor flake out on us by not returning our calls or not following up on work we've asked them to quote, so it was very refreshing to find Sam and Twinscapes. Sam was extremely responsive via phone, e-mail, and text and was available to answer any questions we had. We had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish and would not hesitate to work with Sam and Twinscapes again in the future. Highly recommend!

As you can see above, Sam and his crew at Twinscapes has done a number of hardscape projects for me. The first patio was at a rental property. The very reasonable cost with outstanding quality convinced me to have him do some large projects at my home. The quality of work is superb and Sam and his crew are very professional. You won't find better.

I set up an appointment and met with Sam. Sam was punctual and professional, sharing his insights on my ideas and was quick to get back to me with a quote. They came out on a Saturday and worked for about four hours - they even took away brush I still needed to dispose of from another clean up project we had done on our own. The yard looks great and is now ready for us to entertain in and spend more time outside enjoying as the weather gets warmer. I will definitely use Twinscapes again and have already referred them to friends and coworkers. Excellent work at a fair price - hard to find with many companies today.

Overall, I was so happy with the quality of the work and the integrity of the company.

They did a truly beautiful job. Nate and his assistant Pastor showed up this past Monday morning and did phenomenal work on this project. Over slightly less than two full days here, they were trustworthy, responsive, efficient, attentive to detail and focused on doing really high quality work. I was amazed both at how quickly they dismantled the old patio (bricks, timbers) and prepared the surface to install the new design, and at how carefully they worked. For example, in addition to exquisite precision with the brick/stone work -- their primary focus -- they were careful too with all the bulbs and other plants that were already beginning to sprout in the area in front of the retaining wall, and they preserved and/or transplanted them all. In terms of process, they did the transplanting of shrubs and all the brick-surface installation on Monday, and then on Tuesday they installed the new retaining wall and fixed the front steps. The entire back patio design was Nate's own vision, moving from an old square pattern to this lovely curved set of lines. He was even able to find wall-stones with a gorgeous subtle red-purple tint that mirrors the brick patio surface beautifully. By re-using the bricks from the old patio, he was able to hold the cost down, which made this whole thing feasible, and it looks marvelous. I'm thrilled, and several of my neighbors now want to hire Twinscapes too! They left the premises gorgeous -- not just in their own work but even spiffing up some side areas next to the garage while they were at it, and stacking/rolling all leftover materials neatly and out of sight. .

Fabulous. Sam met with us on a Sunday afternoon, the day after I requested an estimate. After we approved the estimate, and as soon as the weather cleared a week later, he called to ask if they could come out to do the job. Arrived promptly when they said. Finished the job in a day. What a great surprise when I came home from work!

I contacted Twinscapes to get an estimate for spring clean up, flower bed improvement and patio paver steps. Sam got back to me quickly and we agreed he'd come out for an estimate once the snow melted. I didn't really know what my yard needed or what to ask for, but luckily Sam knew exactly how to make it beautiful! Immediately seeing my front flower bed, Sam suggested the stone retaining wall and knew the plants best for the space. He also designed some absolutely beautiful patio paver steps with a vinyl rail for my back door/patio area. I was pleased when I got my estimate and excited to moved forward with the projects. Sam and his crew were timely, responsive, professional and did great work. He was patient with my questions and listened to my preferences when incorporating plants. Sam and his crew finished the work in two days. It is beautiful! The evening it was completed, I had neighbors admiring the work and asking me the name of the company. The best thing about working with Sam is that he is genuinely invested in his customers' satisfaction. He is very competitively priced and doesn't nickel and dime you when completing a job. I would definitely use Sam again. I now know why they have so many A ratings!

We emailed Twinscapes, and one of the twin brothers who own the company, Sam McDowell, responded promptly and we set up a convenient time for him to come to the house to discuss the project. Sam was great! He is a professional, genuinely nice man who spent a lot of time talking over the different options for the walkway. He took measurements and left us a catalog of Unilock pavers that we could look through to get some design ideas. A couple days later, he had emailed us drawings of two options with complete estimates for both. We made a decision and Sam advised us to go to Mr. Mulch to look at the pavers, which was very helpful since they have patios made up with every paver they sell and we could see it in an outside setting. They even let us take some pavers home to see how they looked at our house. We let Sam know what we wanted, and Sam then came back out to the house to finalize all the details. We decided to also have him remove some old, overgrown shrubs that lined one side of the walkway and asked him to install new ones. Sam started excavation promptly on a Wednesday and completed the job the next day. He was very precise and incorporated design ideas that made the walkway look great and was so careful to meticulously clean up. First of all I appreciate people who make a commitment and keep it. Sam gave me times for the site visit/estimate, as well as a start date. He was on time for the estimate and actually started my job 5 days early. His estimate was not the least expensive but very affordable. That made me happy, but it was the customer interaction and the time he spent with me to identify what I really wanted, and made recommendations, provided drawings, and worked closely with me on the exact products that would best accent my new patio in relation to my house. Sam called me on a Sunday to let me know he would be starting my job early. I informed him I was out of town and he was not concerned by that. Honestly, neither was I. Sam had done a job for a friend a year or so ago and the recommendation I received was outstanding. The original time frame I was given was 5-7 days for completion. Sam and his crew took only 4! When I arrived home from my trip I could not believe how great my patio looked. But wait, there's more! I thought they were done and just had to come back and pick up their equipment. When I returned home the next work day they had mulched the flower bed, planted grass, and spread straw. That was not something we even discussed in the contract. And one more thing; when they tore out an old set of steps leading from my new patio up into my screened porch they even painted the wood behind the old steps. I had not even thought about that. I have not had great luck with contractors, but using Twinscapes has finally given me hope that there are in fact good contractors out there. I recommend Sam and Twinscapes for any patio project you have in mind. And if you do not want a patio, check them out anyway. They may do some other type work you may want done. Thanks Sam!!

Twinscapes Landscaping LLC is owned by two twin brothers, Nate and Sam McDowell. Nate did our job and I couldn't be happier with his work product. We received three different bids from Angie's List for some paver patio work and the one from Twinscapes, by far, was the most reasonably priced. Twinscapes even included landscaping, which the other two did not include and actually told us we'd have to hire someone to remove the bushes and flowering plants before they worked on the patio and after they were done. This was important to us, as the bushes and flowing plants we had were a part of the old patio and we envisioned our patio would incorporate them into the new design. Not only did Nate understood what we were looking for, he added some great suggestions for incorporating those into the new design of the patio. We also very much appreciated Nate's vision on the shape of the porch and the type of paver stone and accent we should use. I was going to give Nate a "B" (good) for responsiveness, because it did take him a few days to respond to our e-mails, but I think that is because we are an impatient family. After all, he has a business and he not only goes out and provided bids on jobs, he also works his butt off, working to install the patios at the sites he bids. So for all you people who are impatient... At any rate, he ALWAYS responded and he was extremely flexible and accommodating (as we changed our mind on what we wanted a couple of times). I'd definitely recommend Nate and I am happy to be one of the many satisfied customers that give this contractor an "A" rating.

Sam and the Twinscapes team were fantastic! True professional in design, work and clean up. Sam was meticulous in rebuilding my stone walls and working the project to coincide with my neighbors work. I had original 20+ years of landscape removed, replanted with new less maintenance plants and had stone walls reshaped/rebuilt. My neighbor had new stone wall, beds redone and vegetable planter boxes placed in backyard. All the work was well planned and performed to our expectations. l will use Twinscapes to replace patio next spring!

The first words from my wife was AMAZING! The professionalism and speed of service was excellent. The hardest part was selecting the pavers and retaining wall stone. Once we gave the "go" the job was completed within 48 hrs. The crew was professional and I would highly recommend Twinscape to anyone looking for a new paver patio. We are looking forward to using the patio right away! Everyone that has stopped over the house since the installation of the patio has said the following: "Amazing"; "Beautiful", "WOW", "100 % better than what was there before", "I need to get a new patio now", etc. Since the installation of the patio we are now planning on having them back out to install a retaining wall for the flower beds and along the house to increase the curbside appeal! I inherited a yard that was in dire need of TLC. Weeds and plants that may as well have been weeds were growing everywhere. I reached out to many landscaping companies and Nathan/Sam were the most responsive and seemed the most professional. Their price was also very competitive. Like any company that does great work, I had to get on their schedule well in advance. The result was worth it. They showed up when they said they were going to and worked diligently over the course of 3 days. After the first day, the results were drastic. After they were done, I just really wished I would have taken pictures of the before. The difference was night/day. I would definitely use Twinscapes again.

Excellent job all the way around. Estimate showed all the options and our costs and was presented well. Removed our old patio which was falling and overgrown. Leveled and laid a new larger patio with a firepit. Also completed a pergola. Came back when a paver was a lower than the rest. Looks great. Really nice guys and they work really efficiently.

I looked to Angie's List for a contractor who is reputable and experienced. I invited 4 to provide quotes. One never contacted me. Two were responsive and the third was just late in their response so they were excluded. So two top rated patio contractors. Both provided their own style and design based on the overall dimensions I needed. I was impressed in the way that Sam from Twinscapes not only listened to what I wanted but also offered up some suggestions to add value and style. The accent block in the seating wall and the lights really look awesome and set it apart from anything I have seen. So here is the deal. My neighbors were looking at contractors as well. We almost selected the same contractor and I am glad I selected Twinscapes. Twinscapes worked so fast!! Installed a patio nearly twice the size in half the time. The Twinscapes crew worked hard and I never saw anyone just standing there watching. A very well coordinated team. Throughout the process I felt that Sam was installing the patio for a friend or family member. His attention to detail, leveling, slope, materials, base/foundation, lighting, etc was outstanding. The yard and landscaping was restored when finished. They also pressure washed the side of the house to remove all the dust caused from the brick cutting and coping. I would definitely recommend Twinscapes to anyone wanting a beautiful patio that is carefully installed.

The majority of the work was done in just a couple of days. The patio and pit look and function perfectly!
