Sam, Nate and their workmen were prompt, pleasant and went above and beyond our expectations. They placed sheets of plywood on the lawn so that it would not be disturbed. They showed up exactly when they said they would. Their craftsmanship is just excellent!! They transformed a very ugly and unmanageable area of the backyard into a beautiful patio that one only sees in upscale homes. The whole area was cleaned after the installation. We could not be more pleased.

Working with Sam was a pleasure. He came out promptly to perform an estimate and emailed it to me that same evening. He was always quick to respond to any questions I had. When it came time to install the patio Sam and his team worked their butts off and got everything done in one day. The quality of their work is excellent, and the patio came out looking even better than we had hoped. We solicited several estimates and even though I believed Twinscapes to be the most reputable company we contacted, they also ended up being the least expensive. We chose them because of their excellent Angie's List reviews and the good feeling I got from talking with Sam, but the fact that they were also the most affordable was icing on the cake.

I called SAM in January. He responded back within 30 minutes and arranged an appointment just a few days later. He was prompt and personable. He listened to what we think we wanted. He spent a lot of time answering questions and offered some great suggestions. He measured and indicated verbally what he would do. An estimate arrived shortly--two estimates based on the type of paver we might use. He provided color suggestions and told us of two places to visit to see the samples. In the estimate, he also provided a detailed drawing of what the walkway would look like winding from driveway, around the deck, and out to a circular area in front of the garden. When we arrived at one place to pick the pavers, the gentleman there had already heard from SAM about what we were looking for. We made the choices. SAM called back the same day and scheduled the job. He and several workers showed up on time and worked steadily. They almost completed the job in one day but did not have the "circular" kit required in the back. We were wanting the job done before 3-4 days of upcoming rain and were concerned about a muddy mess in the yard. On day two, the job was finished early before the rain came. The workers, including Sam's brother, were very helpful and professional. They cleaned up everything and put things back that had to be moved. A major concern in having this project done was running into utility lines, etc. Much of the walkway was therefore hand dug with great care, and some wires/cables were put in sheaths so if future need arises to replace them, this would be easier to do without tearing up the whole sidewalk. We are very happy with what this company has done for us and would definitely use them again for another project.

If you want a great looking patio for a great price, then you should call Sam. We met with several other patio companies, and Sam's detai to quality was top notch. Others seem to skim on quality and others seemed to go overboard on foundation. Sam is not the cheapest, nor is he the most expensive; however, he gives the best value for your dollar. Sam put in a high quality patio in our back yard, and it looks fantastic! Our goal was to make a patio that was unique to the neighborhood. We put in upgrades on the caps & tile,& and we added a double leaning bench wall around the fire pit. This double leaning bench wall upgrade was worth every penny because it looked great, it was comfortable, and nobody in neighborhood had one. He made the patio very unique to the area. Thanks again Sam for doing a great job!

Awesome experience, fantastic work. Sam was great to work with and made the project a success. We modified some drawings and worked through the pricing to get to a balance for cost/look. He is not the cheapest, but the quality of work is worth the extra cost. I have since recommended him to others and they have also loved working with Sam and team.

Sam and crew (approx. 5) arrived as scheduled and got right to work. They were very professional and hard working. Completed the job in two and a half days. The area where they worked was spotless when they left. My new walls and brick patio are beautiful. I couldn't be happier.

Sam and his crew were professional, courteous and very hard working. They completed the job in a day and even put dirt down using extra sod, from what was removed for the patio, to fill a couple of holes in the turf. Sam provided several samples of paver options within my budget, listened to me, offered good advice and was very prompt in sending the job estimate. I would most definitely use them again and would recommend them to any friends.

He is a good listener and does a good job of understanding what we needed for our project. Did a good job of explaining what the job entailed. He was punctual with all his correspondences and meetings with me, as well as on time with the job itself. Would use them again and would highly recommend them.

Incredible. Sam and his team were unbelievable in how efficiently and professionally they worked. Once they got going they had the old slab out, laid a new foundation, built the wall and had most of the stones cut and laid by the end of the first day. Last steps were finishing touches, electrical and getting a dry day out to pour in the polymer sand. Can't say enough about how good the quality and craftsmanship are. Beyond satisfied and am so glad we went with them over additional quotes we received.

Sam and his team have been great to work with. After struggling to even get a call returned from other contractors, Sam was prompt (driving all the way from Hilliard to our house in Wortington on a Sunday afternoon), upbeat, and enthusiastic about what we wanted. He emailed a quote the same day he came out to see the space and was very understanding when we needed to postpone the job for a few months. Once we emailed him to schedule the job, he has been great with communications on timelines etc. They are working on the patios right now and it is already better than we had even imagined. We have another project we want to tackle on the front of our house and, as soon as budget permits, we will definitely be going to Twinscapes!

They did an unbelievable job! They were courteous. I have had numerous compliments on the quality of work. I am so glad I chose Twinscapes for the work. They could not not done a better job. The company measuring the granite counter for the bar was impressed what an awesome job was done. It made installing the granite an easier job since there were 2 levels with the bar/grill area. They even laid mulch to complete the job. So glad there are people out there that have great work ethics!!

We called Twinscapes in early April to discuss our project and were thrilled to find out they were the company that originally installed the patio at our home with the previous owner. They were called back last year to redesign the patio with the previous owner but the project was put on hold mid-tear up (due to the homeowner, not Twinscapes) and the house was put on the market. When we talked with Sam he was extremely invested in getting our patio back to functional and to our preferences. It was a huge help that he knew the previous design and what had been done last year to begin the redesign. He was able to determine how far the existing loose pavers would take us and offer and ideas to incorporate new stone with the old. I appreciated he was wanting to make the old stone work so we could stay in our budget, rather than trying to talk us into all new stone (as others did). We talked through our ideas and combined them with Sam's expertise. He took a few measurements and we had the quote with a design drawn up by the end of the week as he promised. To be thorough we met with 2 other companies and their price came in higher and they offered no ideas or input. I felt comfortable knowing that Sam was able to visualize the concept, say what would work and what wouldn't, and also work to make our ideas fit. He estimated getting the project started in early June and he was quick to respond each time we contacted him between April and June, and was able to requote our price through our 3 design changes (sorry Sam!) In early June (as promised) Sam and his brother Nate worked with a team of 4 guys and finished the project in one long day, only returning the following morning for some quick touch ups and to resand the pavers. I am no patio expert but I was amazed at how fast they work without compromising quality. They took measures to protect our grass and current landscaping. They were as picky about the final outcome as I could hope for- for example, after power washing the finished patio some our old stones looked a little off in color, they worked to pull those up turn them over or swap out with another stone until it looked right- something I was going to ask them about when they came back for day 2 but they did it on their own before I could. They even paid attention to such small things (like washing the dust off our grill after the project was done) which goes a long way with me. I am not one to write reviews typically but we felt the need to do so after working with Twinscapes. We will definitely use them in the future and have already recommended them to our friends.

WOW! From initial meeting to discuss scope of work, to estimate, to actual completion of job Sam McDowell was outstanding. Knowledgable, pleasant, good and timely communicator. He and his crew were a pleasure to have working on our property. Excellent attention to detail from putting down plywood to protect grass to being ever so careful working around existing plants. These guys obviously love what they do and enjoy working with each other. This is evident in the final product--we couldn't love the two patios more! They are absolutely perfect.

Best contractor experience EVER!!! Sam returned calls promptly, showed up when he said he would. They started the work and were finished in 3 (long!) days!!! Unbelievable! We are so happy with the service/efficiency and love our new backyard!

This was the second project we've had the pleasure of working with Sam and Twinscapes on. Every aspect of this job was a great experience. From the first e-mail, Sam was the first to respond, first to provide a quote (we solicited 5 bids, got 3, 2 didn't respond), and was very, very easy to work with. Twinscapes wasn't the "low cost bidder", but his price was very reasonable considering the design (it was kind of like he read our minds - he nailed the design right from the start), and the design had many unique features that differentiated them from the other contractors. Once we received the variance and permit to build, Sam and Twinscapes actually showed up 2 days early, and completed the build in 2 days. The crew worked hard, didn't mess up the surrounding area, and cleaned up after themselves to perfection. We are completely satisfied with the design, construction, landscape elements, and final cost! I strongly recommend Sam and Twinscapes!

I would highly recommend Sam from Twinscapes anytime. They designed and built a large paver patio and landscaping for our home and we love it! Sam and his crew were very professional and passionate about what they do. I consider Sam as not only a great hardscaper and landscaper but also an artist with his design. We plan on using Twinscapes for future projects this year.

Sam is the epitome of professional. All questions were answered quickly either over the phone or email. He said he roil start on Friday and he did. De said the project would be done in one day and it was! My house looks like a real home!

The BEST company we have ever had! The did an incredible job, I just can't say how very pleased we are. From the very start, Twinscapes listened to what we had in mind and immediately began offering helpful suggestions. Other companies we had over for quotes were quite negative..."what do you want to do THAT for" or "why don't you just plant some perennials instead of putting down paving stones" etc. Twinscapes not only immediately grasped what we wanted, but improved upon it. Their team worked like a well-orchestrated ballet - they define the meaning of "teamwork." And they worked from literally dawn until it was too dark to see. The men were all friendly, good-natured and extremely helpful all the time. (A mail truck became stuck in the yard and they immediately jumped to help push it out.) This company is an example of what a business should be, very professional, helpful and friendly from the beginning to the end of the project. I honestly cannot say enough good about them - they are the absolute BEST.

These guys are fantastic!! From the beginning, Sam was very helpful in getting the design I wanted and helping me sort out which products to use. He was tireless in going over the design with me and helping me understand what adjustments to make to get the look I wanted. Sam was very prompt in answering e-mails and phone calls. They estimated work would take 4 days and were right on target! Kept me informed every step of the way and were very conscious of keeping property neat and cleaned up everything at conclusion. As with anything, there were a couple of surprises provided by the landscape and they were excellent in working with me on what choices I had. The project came out better than my original design! I could not be happier with Twinscapes! This was the absolute best remodeling experience I have ever had.!

Sam was great to work with and helped with design plans. The work crew was punctual and worked long days. We encountered no problems and are very pleased with how the front of the house now looks.

We used Twinscapes landscaping company for new outdoor living space consisting of a new stone patio and the repair and tie in of an old existing one that was over 20 years old and badly damaged. Sam Mcdowell, owner, offered his expertise in the plan and design and also in the actual labor of creating it. Sam was on the job every day and once it was started nothing interrupted it until it was finished.
