Both the estimate and the work was completed inthemtime frame given. The basement was left clean after the work was completed.

Reduced original estimate that included a portion that was hiddien by paneling after I removed the paneling so it could be inspected. Thoroughly inspected basement and placed beams to minimize impact on shelving and utilitly sink. Arrived on time, completed work as promised At no extra cost, they filled in minor cracks on another wall that did not need reinforcement I was greatly impressed in their effort minimize impact to homeowner while ensuring that reinforcment was placed as required. As a former civil engineer I was impressed me with their structural knowledge.

The guy told us it was not something to worry about, that it would be considered a "normal wear and tear" type settling. Because my husband was still worried, he did give us a few tips for things we could do on our own to fill in the small crack to help keep it from getting worse. We thought this was nice of him, as it saved us money and set my husband's mind at ease.

You couldn't hope to meet two better people that these guys. They gave me more detail than I could remember. I'll certainly call them in the near future as we're planning to change some of our wall structures due to a kitchen remodel and they do all types of structural engineering. This business is A+++!

I contacted K&G to have an estimate for repairing a basement wall that had a crack before I started finishing my basement. K&G showed up on time and was more professional then I could have imagined. Kyle assured me with science and mathematics that the wall was sound and I had nothing to worry about in the immediate future. He showed me how to observe the conditions and the best way to resolve an issue if one were to ever arise. I cannot say enough about how impressed I was and so very pleased that he saved me over $4,000 in repairs that were simply not needed. Thank you Kyle!

He checked all my concerns. Told me what I was seeing reflected normal movement for a house of this age. Dry weather may have made cracking a little worse this season. Recommendation was just to monitor at this time. He gave me suggestions on best products to use in repairing cracks. What he told me confirmed other contractors told me except for one who wanted to sign me up for $20,000 foundation bracing.

A house inspection performed prior to selling our home revealed that the main beam in the crawl space under the house was deteriorating. I called K & G Contracting and asked them to inspect the area and provide a quote for repair since I am currently living across country from the house being sold. They confirmed that the beam was deteriorating and said that it could be fixed by laminating 2 X 12's to the existing beam. I gave them the contract and the job was completed within a couple of days of receiving their quote. I am unable to verify the quality of the job but from their professionalism, I am sure that it was done to the highest standards.

Overall the process was very smooth. Steve took our information and set an appointment for us with Kyle. Kyle came out and gave us an estimate. The price was in line with several companies, and lower than several others. Kyle was the only one who built the cost of a permit into his pricing. Other contractors tried to "save me" money on the permit, saying we didn't really need one. As someone looking to list their house for sale, it was very important to us that the job be done right. We felt confident Kyle would do a good job so we picked him. In the end we were very satisfied. The only frustration was that our date got pushed back a bit. I wish they'd have given me more of a range until they had my signed contract in hand since I returned it pretty quickly yet still had to adjust dates. It wasn't a big problem but just would have been nice to stay on the schedule initially presented.

They were easy to work with, provided good work, and provided excellent information!

I LM for them, they called back within hours and we set appointment. Kyle arrived spot on time. I revealed the problem I was having in my crawlspace/basement. Rather than tying up my time and trying to sell me, Kyle asked me many questions, and then he took 5 minutes to tell me why he wouldn't take the job and how he thought I should solve it myself, explaining 2 different options to me. I didn't tell him that another contractor had quoted me over $3,000 to fix this non-essential space that I'd never been in since we moved in nearly 2 years ago. Instead, Kyle opined that I should use my money in the space where I live, not in the crawlspace that's causing no harm nor wear to the rest of the property. Kudos to K&G.

They did everything up to standard. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and they were fair price. They dealt with every issue that came up.

They are by far the most honest, up front company that we have ever seen. They were the only ones that suggested that we get an engineer out to look at the basement first before they did the work. All the other companies that came out were telling us that we needed I beams on more of the walls. They were the most cost effective company. They were excellent. They even called ahead of time on the days that they were coming out.

K&G saved me a lot of money and wasted time! I was worried about some things I had been seeing in my basement and requested a consultation with them, Kyle spent an hour with me on the phone going over every detail and explaining everything in ways I could understand. He taught me how to check some of the problems out myself and told me I didn't need anyone to come out or do any work. He was very professional and could have easily taken me for a lot of money and instead he told me I didn't need a service call or any work done and he taught me how to look for signs of problems getting worse so I would know when I did need him.

Kyle arrived on time, professional and knowledgable. He advised me that the sump pump connection was broken and needed replaced. He explained I might not need the extensive work quoted by another company. This would have included regrading my yard and laying new pipe. He recommended that I have the drains snaked in addition to replacing the pump connection. This would tell if the more extensive work was really needed. Kyle said that because my house is outside K&G's service area, that having them perform the work would cost me more than if I had another company do the work. I appreciated that Kyle took the time to come out to my house, explain what was needed, and then refer me to another company better suited to what was needed. He could have taken the job and charged me a high travel fee. I felt that showed integrity and a regard for customers. Oh,and it may be a small thing, but of all the companies I talked to, K&G was the only one to present a business card. It added to the sense that I was dealing with professionals.

Very successful outcome -- fixed all issues, and even better than expected. They really did a good job of keeping in touch and keeping us informed about schedule and progress. Very solid company, strong recommendation.

K&G did the job very well and were able to work around a gas line. Every other company that I talked to wanted to move the gas line, which would have cost an extra $4,000. Their work passed inspection and the workers showed up when they were supposed to. They don't do work that does not need to be done.

It went well. The inspector was very helpful in explaining anything he saw. He went in crawlspaces and looked outside. It was a very useful report in getting a contractor to do the work.

They were responsive and did a nice job with the installation.

K&G came to my house three times for consultations and estimates over the past few years. Kyle was extremely thorough, and patient with all of my questions. I finally bit the bullet and had K&G do the work, which was to dig out a corner of my house and create a new footer with 7 pylons, rebar, and 6 cubic yards of concrete (not a small job). They even did some incidental work (which was not directly related to the project) in order to help me out of a bind. Kyle and his people are hard working, honest, kind, professional, and easy to work with. K&G comes highly recommended by the engineer I've had look at my house, as well as the three realtors who have appraised my house. I too recommend K&G.

They certainly met expectations. They told us what was going to happen and it happened. It was all good. We've had no trouble since. We would use them again and we would recommend them.

They ended up not doing the job for us because they told us that we didn't need anything. I used them previously and I liked them. I felt like they were very fair and didn't advocate services I didn't need, which was good. The guy who came out was very knowledgeable. He seemed to have a lot of experience and he could talk to me. He could explain to me what it was that he was advocating or not advocating and why. Their responsiveness was very good.

K&G and Kyle were very helpful with a difficult repair project that required the assistance of K&G's consulting structural engineer after work began and K&G discovered that solution to the problem was different than we anticipated before the foundation was excavated. The price of the repair that K&G recommended, and completed, was significantly less than our original contract. We were very pleased with K&G's work and professionalism.

Had installed some beams in our home approx 7 years ago which worked out well so called them again this year to install a few more. They had to coordinate with HVAC installers as well. Exceeded our expectations. Minimal mess, arrived on time, completed ahead of schedule, and did excellent installation - and we've seen crappy installation, as when we bought the home inferior bracing was in place. They also sealed all visible cracking around the whole basement. Very pleased with the work.
