I recently bought a house with almost no overhead lighting. I got several quotes and Powers Electric had the best prices. Mike and his team came and got all of the work done in one morning. They worked with me on the locations of the cans and offered suggestions when it came to the ceiling fans since the ceilings in the house are fairly low. Everyone was very polite and professional. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't damage any drywall or ceilings.

All work was performed well and to our expectations on each visit.

They were very polite and clean. Did a great job installing our wiring and fan. They had to run wires through the ceiling and walls, and found the best way to do that without causing damage to our home. Very satisfied with their work! Would use them again, without a doubt! Highly recommended.

I had called Mike to come out to a home that one of my client's is in the process of purchasing and the bank required us to have an electrician certify that the wiring was safe. My client also wanted an estimate for some of the electrical work they were going to have completed after closing. We had to cancel our Saturday appointment due to timing conflicts but rescheduled for Monday at 4pm. 4:30pm rolls around and I have not heard anything from Mike- I text him and get no answer, my client calls and gets nothing- they are finally able to reach someone who tells us that the owner was supposed to tell his son that he set up the appointment but completely forgot. However, he had also forgotten that his son recently had surgery and wouldn't be able to complete the job. We then had to contact another electric company to take care of the work that we had requested so that we could move forward in our real estate transaction. It was handled unprofessionally, and I still have yet to hear from Mike- or the company- and receive an apology of any sort.

Mike was very professional and helpful. Offered to come back to install weatherproof covers on 2 outdoor outlets at no charge.

I had recently moved into a more modern style residence from previously living in German Village (Columbus, Ohio). I was having an issue with a light fixture being dimly lit after a series of thunderstorms. When I called Mr. Powers and advised the of the issue, he immediately asked if the light fixture/switch had a dimmer on it. As I had recently moved into the house, I was unaware of a small sliding mechanism alongside the light switch, which indeed was a dimmer. Even when he asked this over the phone, I checked the light switch again and replied that there was no dimmer. Mr. Powers then set up a date to come look at the light fixture (a few days from the initial call), which was a positive turnaround time (in my opinion). On the date of the visit, Mr. Powers arrived on time and briefly introduced himself. We then walked toward the light fixture in question, and Mr. Powers immediately dimmed/brightened the light using a small/obscure knob alongside the switch. I must say, I was thoroughly embarrassed. I am relatively tech saavy and fix most general issues around the house. At one point, I had even disassembled the fixture. I can do minor electrical work and can do minor construction type work. I feel i was outdone by a single light switch and to make matters worse, Mr. Powers advised prior to the visit to make sure there was not a dimmer on the switch. I then apologized and thanked him for being honest. He then refused to take any payment and stated that this happens more often than I realize. If you want an honest electrician, the reviews don't lie. Mr. Powers was always courteous, kind, and pleasant during the whole process. I requested him to charge me for the visit, and in fact, pleaded for him to charge me. He refused to accept payment. Instead of him being upset about the visit and not billing me, he chuckled upon dimming/brightening the light. One thing I have learned from all my experiences with repairmen. WHEN YOU FIND AN HONEST ONE, YOU KEEP THEM!!!! For any electrical needs, I will use Powers Electric from now on.

I would and will recommend these electricians to others. Very professional, detailed and very customer service oriented. Arrived on time, reviewed what I needed done, asked questions regarding fan/ight use in order to give suggestions of what type of remote switches would work best. They were prepared and had all the eqiupments they needed with them. Placement was in room was just right. Everything works perfectly! No sway or loose base even when the fan runs at it highest speed. Employers would be so fortunate to have employees, like them, who are so conscientious and represented them is such a positive way.

Scheduling the work was great - they were able to have a team at my house in a week. The team arrived promptly. Bonus points for actually arriving early and knocking on my door at the precise time of the appointment. A team of three arrived, all were very friendly, well spoken and courteous. The lead on the job was very informative - not surprising that when you look behind a wall, you find some odd things that you can't necessarily plan for, but need to remedy. In those cases, they came to me with the situation and presented options rather than a single solution. More than satisfied with the work donw.

Powers Electric is great. Mike Powers came out and gave us an estimate to install can lighting in the family room. He got back to me very quickly and we set up a time to do the work. They came out on time and got to work. They were very clean, professional, knowledgeable,and very pleasant. They know what they doing. After the work was complete they cleaned up completely. The work looks great! So glad to have found them and would recommend them highly.

The installers arrived promptly at 9:30am. They asked a few questions about what I wanted done and got right to work. The entire process took a little under two hours. They cleaned up after themselves and even offered to help put back some personal items in the closet. They also gave me some ideas for some ceiling fans in the basement. I have other fans that need installing and I will likely ask Powers Electric to do them as well.

We recently discovered that a raccoon had moved into our house and lived rent free all winter. It destroyed all the ceiling and attic insulation and also decided that the electrical wiring in our family room ceiling looked tasty. Wiring for the existing ceiling fan and switches for exterior lighting were discovered to be shredded and unsafe. It's actually amazing that they didn't start a fire. Because our vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom and family room had to be removed to properly reinstall the batted insulation, we decided to have a ceiling fan installed in the master bedroom at the same time repairs were being made to the wiring in the family room. Mike and his assistant removed the shredded family room ceiling fan wiring and replaced it to code as well as repairing the other shredded wires. They inspected the remaining wiring in the attic and determined that the damage was limited to the family room (thankfully). They installed a new ceiling fan box and switch in the master bedroom and swapped out the master bathroom exhaust fan for a new one. The guys were prompt and professional. All work was completed as requested and was in my opinion completely reasonably priced compared to other electricians. We're very satisfied and will ask them to come back next time we need anything ---- hopefully not for raccoons.

Mike and his crew were great! They were very professional, prompt on time, and just good people. They took the time to explain lighting/electrical things to me that are very helpful as a first time home owner. They didn't charge me for small things and were fair on all of their other prices. Called this afternoon and spoke to Mike and he came out this evening and fixed the problem. Very prompt, courteous, and professional. Will definitely call him again if we have any other electrical issues. I highly recommend Powers Electric.

Mike and his assistant were very professional and did an excellent job correcting a double tapped breaker and relocating a couple of wires. I will would not hesitate to use Mike again for any future electrical work.

They showed up on time to give the estimate, installed the lighting the next day. They were very professional, took the time to give me recommendations for light placement, and completed the job quickly. They did a great job of cleanup and made it look like they had never been there. Would definitely hire again.

Fantastic company. I highly recommend. Mike came out on a Saturday in order to accommodate my schedule. He was prompt, organized, and patient-- when I found out the light I had purchased for Mike to install was a damaged return, he waited for me to go to the hardware store to get a new light to install so that he could complete the job. Very much appreciated.

From the initial prompt response for a quote to the actual work, this was a positive experience. We removed a '90s vintage light box and needed help to figure out what should replace it. Also, we needed to move our chandelier. Andrew, a very well-mannered young man, came out to see what would serve us best. A short time later, Mike(the owner) sent us a quote with the different parts of the work itemized so we could decide where to spend our money. We were able to get the work scheduled just a few days later. Both Mike and Andrew came out to do the work. They were courteous and mindful of our budget. They did everything they could to minimize the mess and cleaned up afterward.

Well, the wall plug was repaired and the dryer was put back in place. We asked if he could move the dryer back out so we could see what was done, he refused. However, he allowed a picture of the old plug to be taken. I am not sure of the final product if I cannot move the dryer to evaluate. The dryer is working, and that's why I gave them an overall "B".

My experience with Powers Electric and Mike Powers was awesome! I am very fortunate to have found them! I was in a bit of a pinch when I called Powers Electric. I was planning to do some backsplash tiling in my kitchen, and prior to doing that, I was planning to install undermount lights. I was planning to do the lights myself, but when I started the project, I quickly realized I could not handle it. I was planning on starting the backsplash project in one week, though, so I needed help with the lights ASAP. I left Mike a message on a Saturday or Sunday evening, and he called me back that night or the next day. I also called four other providers, and not one of them called me back. I explained to Mike my situation and the time-sensitivity. He was very upfront about his schedule and what was possible in the time constraints. Even though he was very busy, Mike arranged to come by that Tuesday or Wednesday and check out the project. When he came by to check out the project, he was a super nice guy. He checked everything out, asked questions, and answered all of my questions (which were a lot of questions). He then quoted me a price which was very affordable. I was concerned the project was going to be out of my budget, but Mike had a great price that was in my budget, and he even told me something to do to make it cheaper. When Mike left that first day, he said he thought he could come back on Friday, and that he would let me know the next day for sure. Again, Mike was very upfront about his schedule and other commitments, but he understood that I was in a pinch to get this done that week. Sure enough, Mike came back that Friday with a helper and did the project! In addition to being busy, Mike was also having a problem with a tooth, which required a trip or two to the dentist that same week, so him coming out to meet my needs was even more incredible. Mike and his helper worked extremely quick. They finished the project in a couple of hours. The project included hardwiring four undermount cabinet lights and installing a new switch for those lights. It also included installing three overmount outlets for future lights above my cabinets. Those outlets were put on their own new switch as well. Mike and his helper left a very, very clean project area. Also, they were extremely, extremely nice, honest, and trustworthy people. Before Mike left, I had him quote a few things around my house, and his prices were again very affordable. He also gave me some tips on how to do the backsplash tiling around the outlets. All in all, I can not say enough good things about Powers Electric and Mike Powers. Mike had my project completed in less than one week from the time I called him. He knew I was in a time crunch, and he absolutely knocked it out of the park! And as an added bonus, his price was very, very good.

Vendor arranged time with the resident. Called to report that the system worked as designed. The resident was overloading the circuit. In this case there was no charge. I realize the vendor's time is not free and I offered to pay him but he refused. With me this type of customer service goes a long way toward future business and personal referrals.
