Description of Work: I had water leaking in due to rotten wood facing on the front of the house. I received a quote in March 2011 and recieved a contract in the mail April 4th. I wanted to split the work being performed into two steps (1. Wood exterior replacement 2) painting and gutter replacement) due to undergoing treatment for breast cancer and not knowing my financial situation. We agreed and a contract was signed April 22 2011. There were at least 27 appointments set by Lisa however everyone of them was 'no show' and I would get a call a few weeks later to set a new date. The last call was two weeks ago saying they would be out that week and still no show. Obviously, the wood has gotten worse and due to the time of year, it might be difficult to get estimates from other companies. I am really disappointed from being mislead for nine months and now I have to start over when all of this could have been completed this year.

Description of Work: I had Jon's Painting give me estimates for a couple of small jobs around my home in Clintonville since they "understand" the homes in this area. After having to wait one month, the day they were scheduled to fix a gutter and glass in kitchen door, they did not show up. I call them in the morning to confirm and I was told they would be at the house between 1:00 and 1:30pm. They never called to let me know that they were not coming. The only good thing about this experience was that I did pay them upfront!

Description of Work: They did gutter replacement and replaced the downspouts on the ground and we called them back to do gutter toppers. They also go by the name Jon's Painting and they painted the exterior of our house and they did the trim work. They also dug up the down spout line and replaced it.

+ -1 moreGUTTERING IS NOT DRAINING PROPERLY BECAUSE OF LOW SPOTS. THE DRIP EDGE IS PULLING AWAY FROM THE HOUSE, HANGING LOOSE, BANGING THE HOUSE, AND IN THE PROCESS PULLING TRIM WITH IT. I HAVE CALLED THREE TIMES AND LEFT MESSAGES, BUT NO ONE HAS RETURNED MY CALL. THE SITUATION IS WORSENING AND I NEED THE GUTTERING REPAIRED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

THEY WERE DETERMINED TO DO IT RIGHT, SO IT WORKED TO SOLVE MY VERY LARGE DRAINAGE PROBLEM, AND WHEN THE INSTALLATION WAS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MY BASEMENT PUMP THEY REDID THE JOB SO IT DID WORK. THEIR CREW LEFT A BIT OF A MESS, BUT WHEN I COMPLAINED, THEY PROMPTLY ARRIVED TO REMEDY SITUATION. I HAVE ALREADY CONTRACTED WITH THEM TO DO ANOTHER JOB.

I WAS IMPRESSED WITH HIS DESCRIPTION OF HIS PAINTING METHODS (COMPLETE PREP, POWER WASH, LOTS OF CAULK, OIL BASE PRIMER). I INTENDED TO HIRE FOR ALL JOBS UNTIL I RECEIVED BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE RE: ROOF (NOT IN DURING POSTED HOURS, CONFUSION ABOUT ROOFING MATERIALS AVAILABLE TO ME, ETC). I RECEIVED INCONSISTENT AND UNRELIABLE INFORMATION AND RESPONSE FROM STAFF. UNNECESSARY DELAYS IN STARTING WORK DUE TO STAFF NOT SHOWING UP AT WORK THE DATE JOB WAS SUPPOSED TO BEGIN. DELAYS CONTINUED FOR SEVERAL MORE DAYS. THE OWNER DID NOT IMMEDIATELY CALL BACK WHEN I EXPRESSED CONCERN AND MY INTENT TO GO ELSEWHERE. WHEN HE DID CALL, HE WAS ANGRY AND ABRASIVE ABOUT MY CONCERNS. HE LATER APOLOGIZED AND ASKED IF I WOULD RECONSIDER USING HIS BUSINESS, BUT I DID NOT.

+ -1 moreWE ACTUALLY WENT THROUGH ARBITRATION WITH THE BBB WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY PUT A LIEN ON OUR HOME FOR TWICE THE AMOUNT OF THE JOB. THEY MADE UP A BOGUS INVOICE, SO IT LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE TRYING TO DO ALL THIS EXTRA WORK TO FIX PROBLEMS. THEY SPRAY-PAINTED WINDOWS, DID NOT FILL CRACKS, TOOK THE FINISH OFF THE HARDWOOD FLOORS, CAULKED ALL THE TRIM ON THE WOODWORK, WHICH IS NOW RUINED, FILLED A SINK WITH PAINT AND CLOGGED, DUMPED PAINT IN BACK YARD, WHICH THEY SAID I DUMPED THE PAINT. WE HAD A BIG FIGHT OVER PAINTING THE CLOSETS IN THE ROOMS. THEY PAINTED SOME OF THE CLOSETS BUT REFUSED TO PAINT ONE CLOSET UNLESS WE PAID THEM MORE MONEY. THE COMPANY WAS SUPPOSED TO CLEAN AND PRIME WALLS, CEILINGS ETC, BUT THEY DID NOT. AFTER SIX MONTHS, THE PAINT IS ALREADY PEELING OFF. THEY EVEN MANAGED TO PAINT THREE OF THE ROOMS THE WRONG COLOR
