Description of Work: Ohio Exteriors first performed a roofing overall inspection and check on Angie's Big Deal. I knew there were leaks on my porch roofa, and wanted to check out the rest of the house. They did a great job on the check-up, fixed areas around the chimneys, cleaned gutters etc. and assured me the main roof of the house was O.K. We then worked out an estimate for replacing the old tin roofs that needed annual maintenance with new material that would hold for many years and be maintenance free. The work took about a week with weather problems, but the carpenter, Derek, worked long hours and very steadily to get the job done. He is an excellent, considerate workman. The porch really looks great now and no more leaks! Thanks to Mike who worked with me and explained all the details to me. Also kudos to Dave and his crew who did the original inspection. I would call Ohio Exteriors again for appropriate work.

Description of Work: UPDATE 10/25/2011: It seems that they have had some personnel changes. After I submitted the company contacted me and apologized. They refunded my payment in full and I appreciated their efforts to make it right. In the end I still had a leaking roof, but they made some internal changes that they believed will help other customers in my situation in the future. Their response to my feedback was outstanding. Received an email from Angie's list that Ohio Exteriors was offering a roof maintenance special. For $200 the company would spend up to two hours inspecting and repairing your roof. I signed up through Angie's list and promptly received a call from the company. We agreed on a time and date for the inspection. The company called back several days later and asked if they could delay the work until a week or so later and I agreed. The inspector arrived on time and spent about 35 minutes on the roof. He reported it was in good shape. He had pounded down a few nails. He said two bathroom vents that had been extended through the roof should have "boots" to prevent problems later but didn't indicate any eminent concern. About four months later during a heavy rain I noticed leaking in a upstairs bathroom. I immediately called the company to schedule a repair. I was told the first appointment for 11 days out. I mentioned that an inspection had taken place in early summer and could I get priority as an existing customer with a leaking roof. The gentleman said they were booked and had already tried to squeezed in existing customers. I asked him to call me if he had a cancellation. After a week I had not heard back. I contacted another company and they came the next day and fixed the leak. My overall feeling is that I did not get value out of the original $200 charge since it was for only 35 minutes work, even taking into account travel time to and from the job. I think I would have been different if the company had be responsive when I called back with a leaking roof. I had spend $200 for very little service and ended with a leaking roof that they couldn't help me with in a reasonable amount of time. On a positive note, the inspector and individuals I talked with on the phone were professional and friendly.

Description of Work: We have 2 attics. They insulated the part that goes over the family room. They re-shingled our shed as well.

Description of Work: Rep came out to give me a quote on roofing/siding issue. Said he would have a quote to me in 2 days. After now hearing back from Ohio Exteriors, I called 4 days after initial visit. They were not sure which rep visited my house or where the quote was . They never called me back or followed up

Description of Work: Steve Porter came out to estimate a repair on a roof leak which had come back to life. He looked at the previous repair job and said it was good work. I noted some things in the roof that looked funny to me, but instead of using that as an excuse to estimate a crazy repair he told me it was nothing to worry about. He pointed out a few small things I should get on top of with chimney maintenance. He did note that a section of drip edge was missing, but instead of bidding on the job, he told me how easy it would be to do myself and even gave me a few roofing nails since I didn't have any. Ohio E & I, and Stever Porter in particular, are at the very top of my list for any roof repair.
