It was a struggle finding a contractor who would work on metal roofs. We were recommended Ethan at Meridian Home Solutions, and we could tell within a few minutes of meeting him, that this was the company we wanted to fix our house. Ethan was very friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the situation and answer every single question we had. He thoroughly went over the damage to my house and Ethan was able to clearly explain all the repairs that needed done. He was professional and easy to talk to, and by the time he left I had no doubts my house would be in good hands. The next day, Ethan put a tarp on our roof to protect it until the insurance money came and work could begin on our house. This was such a huge relief to us, we no longer had to worry at every hint of rain! After getting the insurance money, we were quickly able to get on Meridian's schedule. They ordered the new metal roof, and within two weeks work had started our house. The whole repair took just one week to complete. Two guys showed up at our house, and quickly started taking off the two layers of shingles on the garage. They worked fast and before we knew it, the garage was stripped and a new roof was put on. Some more guys helped with the metal roof, and the work there went just as fast. It was amazing seeing the new metal roof go up, what a difference it made! I had some questions along the way, and Ethan was very courteous in answering all of them. The other workers I talked to were all very friendly as well. Sure enough, by Friday afternoon they were finished with all of the repairs. I had a new metal roof on my house, new shingles on the garage, and the seams on my flat roof were resealed. Afterwards, there were two things that needed more attention. One, it looked like there was a gap between the gutter and the roof in the middle of the house on the backside. Two, a pipe boot was installed on a different vent pipe than what I was expecting. Ethan was able to quickly explain these situations, as well as fix them within a day or two. The gap was due to the old framing of the house settling over time. Ethan ended up using the middle as the high point for the gutter, and pitched the rain towards either end. He also added pieces of aluminum underneath the elbows on either side to lessen the water draining onto the shingles. The pipe boot was a simple mix up since in fact both vent pipes needed them, but we only talked about one being repaired during the estimate. Both issues were quickly and professionally resolved. After the job was done, I found a few roofing nails on the ground, which wasn't a big deal. However, in my gutters underneath the metal roof, there were quite a few nails and screws left behind. Otherwise they did a really good job on the cleanup. Everything was kept fairly tidy at the end of each day. In the end I was very pleased with the work done by Meridian Home Solutions. I would gladly use them again, and I would easily recommend them to other people.

The contractor came on time as specified. He cleaned up after he was done. He also explained the features of a new lock installed. Unfortunately the lock didn't latch and I didn't notice right away. When I did notice he came right over and fixed it in minutes. He also apologized which is rare these days. Nice company and good work. Will hire again and reccommend it to any one.
