For over 30 years, Seagate Roofing and Foundation Services has built a reputation of being a premier residential and commercial roofing contractor in the area, providing high quality and service. For these reasons, Owens Corning invited us to be a part of a very small and elite family of Platinum Preferred Contractors across the country. This distinction assures we use the best products the industry has to offer while being warranted by a name you can trust. When installing your new roof, Seagate ensures a clean, professional and comprehensive service. When necessary, we remove the old roof, cleaning up after each day and using an appropriately-sized waste container. We also keep our eye on weather patterns and ensure your home is "weather tight" during the entire project. In addition to installing your new roof, we also inspect flashing and chimney flashing, and replace asphalt saturated felt and metal roof edges. Seagate offers a wide variety of roofing solutions, including metal roofing and spray coatings that insulate and protect. Speak to one of our experienced professionals for our recommendations and roofing solutions for any structure, residential or commercial. Seagate also offers the same quality service when it comes to waterproofing and foundation repair, insulation, windows, doors, and skylight sales and installation, too.

"Thought we had gone with a great company for basement foundation work. Tom W the sells guy was honest and amazing. They came out in October 2022 and completed the project in 5 days we had no issues. They took out our old tile and crock and installed new. At that time the water table was down well fast forward to March 2023 water table is high and we realized we were pumping sand out of the crock. Seagate came out and admitted they installed the crock wrong-which was washing away the foundation. 3 days later they came to the house installed a new crock and then said they would come back in a couple of months to finish the job when the water table goes down. Well here we are today and Tom Elder the owner is busy with "Point Place work". Looks like he only cares about new customer and not old customers. I would becareful using Seagate-make sure you do your homework!"

Home inspections FAQs

It’s important to get a home inspection when buying a home because home inspectors are trained to examine the various aspects of a home to determine that everything is in good condition and find unseen problems that current homeowners need to fix before the home sale takes place. Although home inspections are not legally required, a thorough inspection can help you decide if you want to purchase a home. That’s why it’s essential to keep a home inspection contingency so that you have the option to walk away from the sale if the home inspection reveals expensive issues.

A home inspection typically includes the home inspector conducting a thorough visual examination of essential home structures and mechanical components. Afterward, the inspector will provide a home inspection report that relays descriptions of damage or other findings for the homeowner to review.

Home inspectors will examine the following home areas and features:

  • Plumbing

  • Electrical

  • Foundations

  • Roof

  • Windows and doors

  • Overall condition of interior and exterior

  • HVAC systems

  • Attics

  • Basements or crawl spaces

  • Major built-in appliances

Typically, a licensed and certified local home inspector conducts home inspections. Real estate agents often work closely with trusted home inspectors. Licensing requirements vary from state to state for home inspectors, but they must have local certification and valid insurance. Many licensed home inspectors belong to professional associations like the American Society of Home Inspectors.

Typically, the home buyer pays for the inspection by hiring a home inspector. This method helps you make an informed decision about a home’s condition before purchasing it. Home sellers can also conduct their own home inspection to ensure that they are getting the best price for their home and property.

On average, home inspections cost about $350, ranging from $200 to $500, depending on the home’s size, age, and location, plus any specialty inspections required. Additional cost factors include testing for asbestos or conducting thermal imaging tests to find infestations, checking energy efficiency, and looking for structural or electrical problems. If your home is more than 2,000 square feet, you can expect to pay $400 or more.
