Description of Work: Did not use them. After initial contact he did come to discuss project. After several weeks of no response we contacted him again.."he forgot" to call us but did give an estimate which we were willing to pay.He said he would do the job but could not until June or July (initial contact was made in April/May timeframe).Never heard from him again and we did not contact him as we felt he was not reliable to work with.Disappointing experience given Angie's list reputation for reliable contractors.

He promised to send me an estimate, but never did. I left him a voice message requesting the estimate, but received no response. Not wanting to take on a job is fine. Not being truthful about it is not OK. Passive-aggressively ignoring customers is not very professional.
Description of Work: Contractor came out to discuss paving job.

The current concrete pad outside the garage had deteriorated, become stained, cracked, & had become a real eyesore detracting from the house "curb appeal". It had worn so unevenly that we strongly suspected the original concrete work had cut corners, having been unevenly laid without any reinforcement. I checked Angie's List first before calling for any estimates & was disappointed that so few providers were listed yet for this geographical region. Since I had to do my own legwork, I wanted to share the experience so that others might benefit. After contacting 3 companies, 1 never came when someone was home, but the other 2 came & provided an estimate. I really wanted to use an Ohio-based smaller home-owned local business the job so it was nice theirs was the best estimate. Some delays in providing a start date since a few weeks of unusually rainy weather affected all such work so that the company got behind in completing several jobs. It was refreshing that he was honest about his availability due to the weather delays & he did not make empty promises or over-extend himself by committing to another job prematurely. When he did call after weather cooperated to allow completion of the others jobs, he was eager to start the job & we agreed he could begin that very day. He arrived promptly at agreed time & after discussing a few details, he & his crew went right to work. They kept focused on the job & worked straight through the day aside from a lunch break & a couple of brief cooling-off breaks in the shade with cold sodas. Demolition/removal of the old concrete plus all prep work was done before they quite the first day. They put in wire mesh support, so it should last far better than the old original concrete which we discovered was completely un-reinforced & didn't even have a gravel bed beneath it.They arrived & had the concrete truck there ~7:30a to begin the pour & had it completed by mid-morning since they had an extra worker with them to assure prompt working of the concrete during the pour. What a remarkable difference the new concrete made! I'm looking forward to the drying/curing being done so it can be used. It looks great & they did a very professional job. The new concrete looks great & they did a very professional job. What a remarkable difference the new concrete made! I'm looking forward to the drying/curing being done so it can be used. It looks so nice to see the new look when pulling up to the house, so I'm sure it has greatly improved the overall "curb appeal". I would use them again in a heartbeat & was so impressed with their professionalism, quality, & value, that I would gladly recommend them to others.
Description of Work: Replacement of deteriorated 26'x35' concrete pad (~26x35') outside the garage connecting garage entry to the existing asphalt driveway surface.
