Don’t use Simon says flooring! They installed the flooring fast that’s about it. Asked if we needed underlayment with the cork backing floor they said no wish we would of floor is extremely loud. There was a furnace register they put flooring over found it later when a chair leg went through it. Flooring shrunk in some spots so the trim doesn’t cover it. Flooring is really soft, drop anything it leaves dents. Went round and round with lowes and contractor finally gave up. You’ve been warned do your research on installers and flooring!

We contracted with Lowe's for a metal roof for our home. We had a timeline of 4-6 weeks after the contract was signed. We signed the contract on March 30. The supplies were delivered on May 2. We had no contact with Lowe's until I called them to ask when the roof could be started. This was 11 weeks after the contract was signed. After playing phone tag with several employees, I finally talked to the employee who sold us the roof. He was shocked that the roof was not done and thought it had been completed weeks before. I finally got a date set after calling the store manager and corporate office to complain. They arranged for a different contractor to start the job. It seems the original contractor had been calling Lowe's and telling them that he had spoken to me several times and I was OK with the delays. He only phoned me once. The area was hit with a hail storm and 4,500 homes had hail damage. Ours was not one of them, but the contractor was working on these insurance jobs over our project. When the work was nearly complete, the installer informed me that he had run out of metal and needed 2 more pieces. This was due to the original contractors incompetence who had mis-measured. We were going on vacation as it was now July 4th week-end. The metal took another 5 days to come in after Lowe's said they put a "rush" on it. I doubted that was true.The store manager had several excuses as to why this whole project was not completed to our satisfaction. She said she made the original contractor pay for the shortage of metal and the wasted time.That was not helping my situation at all. What about my time that was wasted? The second contractor completed the job when we were on vacation and we came home to a new roof. Lowe's offered us a gift card for our trouble, but I asked for cash so I never have to go in Lowe's again! The communication between Lowe's and the contractor was greatly lacking. The whole project took 15 weeks after we were told it would be 4-6 weeks. I think it would still not be done if I had not called and complained every day for 2 weeks. Lowe's had an attitude of not caring about us a customer. I have told my story to several of my friends and will not recommend Lowe's for any future projects.
