Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

Arrived on time, did a through job. We had been frustrated by heavy dust on our furniture only 2 days after housecleaning. Since the cleaning, there is minimal dust. He also taped the open area around the returns.

Bruno called and let us know his arrival time. He was punctual. The actual cleaning took less time than expected. He stayed for about two hours (instead of the expected 3 hours). The air duct covers were not removed. It would have damaged the paint on the ceilings, but each one was heavily blasted with high-pressure air. The vacuum was not directly connect to the main duct, but was placed closely to the opening. We can feel a difference in the air. Our house had quite a bit of construction dust in the air duct system due to an extensive rebuild after water damage (busted frozen pipes). We are hoping all of the dust has been removed.

It was fine. It was just a normal service call. They showed up on time. They performed everything they said they would. My interaction with them was completely normal. The work turned out good. They came out within three weeks.

Very professional, fast, made great suggestions for other cleaning due to people with allergies in house.

The service man, Beuno, was on time and very polite and professional. He explained everything he was going to do to clean the vents and said it was going to be very loud because the house was empty and that we might want to go out for a little while. When we came back he was finishing up and walked me around to show what had be done. I would highly recommend this company to my friends - this was a great job for a great price.

It was great. There were no issues. We were able to quickly set up the appointment date. They were on time. They made sure they took off their boots at the door. They were pretty quick with the service. They showed me the air filters and what they cleaned out and just how dirty the air ducts were, which was kind of nice to see. It feels like it's a good use of money when they kind of follow up with you like that. So everything was good.

Prior to purchasing the deal on Angie's List, I asked the provider if specific dates - any time - were available. I was advised to call to schedule, leading me to believe that one of the requested dates was, in fact, available. I purchased the deal immediately and requested to be scheduled for one of the dates. I got a response that said I had to call to schedule. I found it bothersome that scheduling options are made available at purchase, but the vendor does not use it. I called and spoke to Constantine who advised me that none of the dates I requested was available. This was annoying, but we reached another date that was agreeable, not ideal. Bruno called the day of to say he was on his way. This was during the show window - and he was prompt. He was very well spoken and professional both in appearance and demeanor. After a survey of the fireplaces, he advised me that he was only to clean one chimney per his work order - I have only one chimney. But, apparently, each flue is considered a separate chimney - even though the chimney is what holds the flues. Not vice versa. As the deal did not indicate that it was a per flue cleaning, but a per chimney cleaning, I told him I was expecting both flues to be cleaned. He promptly contacted his management to resolve the misunderstanding. At all times Bruno was friendly and professional. Constantine called me shortly to say that they would not clean the second flue. That it was a second chimney. Both of my flues are contained within one chimney. I reminded him that the deal did not say "per flue" but "per chimney". I strongly recommend that management at Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning review the meaning of chimney: a structure, usually vertical, containing a passage or flue by which the smoke, gases, etc., of a fire or furnace are carried off and by means of which a draft is created. I find it unbelievable that a business who specializes in chimney cleaning is not more specific about the services they offer. If Bruno were to go to another company, I would hire him again. But I will not use Lowe's again.

It went great. Michael was my service rep (Loews Air Duct cleaning). He explained the process in detail walked me thru the house and showed exactly what areas would be serviced and how the cleaning worked. A very professional person and knowledgeable about duck cleaning. He suggested the sanitizing service after the duct cleaning was completed which I added using Angie's discount price.

Michael was very professional. Explained everything in detail about the process. Job well done. I am very pleased.

All went well. No issues. Lots of dirt was removed. I saw the vacuum while it was being disconnected. There was a lot of dirt in the filter. I asked the technician when the filter was new. That same morning he said.

Serviceman was polite and punctual. There was a little problem with language but for the most part we understood each other. It may have been the language barrier but I felt like I had to watch him closely or he would skip something. To the best of my knowledge, he did not skip anything. His equipment looked a little shabby and I had to tell him there was a hole in one of his ducts, which he repaired. He did not put down any drop clothes. There was plenty of dust balls on the desk, carpet and chairs where they were under the vents. The serviceman tried to clean them up but seemed to be in a hurry. We spent the next few days cleaning up dust balls where we found them. Overall, they did an OK job.

It was fabulous. They were very good. He was responsive and came out within a week. The price was very good. He was on time. He was friendly and courteous and we would use them again.

The job went well. They did the work that they said they were going to do and I'm satisfied with the results. Everything was just fine. I didn't have any issues.

We purchased the Deal of duct cleanings for $175 from the Angie's list deal. Konstantin from the main office called and scheduled our clean for 2 weeks after the purchase and this was acceptable in our timetable. On the Monday before our scheduled cleaning Konstantin called to inform us that the scheduled technician broke his hand and asked to move the appointment to Friday, this did not work in our timetable and I let him know that. We were then able to have an evening appoint on the original day scheduled. I told him I was worried since the previous duct cleaners had cancelled appointments on us due to the time being to late. He said not to worry and his company wouldn't do that. On the day of the scheduled service Konstantin stayed in contact with me to let me know when the Technician (Nicholas) would be arriving, it was towards the end of the scheduled time frame but still in the time frame. The technician worked efficiently and was helpful in putting new registers on all the vents in our newly purchased single family home. I would definitely use this company again.

I highly recommend Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning! Bruno called approx 30 minutes before arriving, was punctual, courteous, thorough, and did not leave a mess. I was very impressed with his professionalism and the entire experience with Lowe's was a breeze!

They did a really good job, but wish they would've cleaned up a little better afterwards (there was some lent left outside my window sill) Other than that they did a great job.

The service went fine. It was as expected. It ended up that there were extra fees on top of the $269 Big Deal, but they were required. I ended up paying another $250 or so. Everything went well. It was good.

It went well although there was significant dust that came out of the vents and went all over the condominium.

He did very thorough job and was very polite. We were very happy with the job.

Great response and very pedantic service focus. Nice job on the flushing and particularly on clearing the dryer vent that had not been done in a long time by the previous owners. Offered to replace the dryer vent pipe at fair value and did not push on the up-sale. Did a nice job on this. One area for improvement is the communication with the client. We live in inner city DC where there is not always parking right outside the house. If we had known we needed it we could have been more organized, but this was not communicated until they arrived. Explaining what is required before arrival is important to keeping appointments efficient.

Lowes contacted me two days after initial purchase and was able to schdule me in the next day. Before arriving, Michael contacted me a few hours earlier before the appointment and wanted to know if he could come in earlier due to a cancellation. I had no issues with that. Once Michael arrived, he wanted to know where the furnace was which I showed him and I suggested that he go through the basement to the utility room avoid routing the large duct through the house. He was able to bring the entire unit through the basement and into the utility room. He did not have to cut any additional holes in the return air duct since there was already one cut out by the previous owner. After hooking up the vacuum unit to the return duct, I asked if he needed the furnace fan off. He said no. Michael then proceeded upstairs to clean the return registers and inserted the hose to clean the accumulating dust. He went through all the vent register upstairs and used the air hose to blast air and vacuumed any dust and stuff that has fallen into the ducts. He did not go through each vent register on the main level to clean them out which I thought he would, but apparently not. Once he was finished, he advised me on preventive maintenance on the furnace which I thanked him for. I've had air duct cleaning done by another vendor a few years ago that I found on Angieslist that was double the price of this service on our previous home, so I knew what kind of work I'd expect to be performed. So after Michael left, I went to the utility room to see where he would have cut a hole into the supply duct to vacuum dust during the vent register cleaning. To my surprise, there wasn't one. Since the furnace fan was running the entire time, when he was cleaning the vent register, dust is actually blowing back into the room instead of being vacuumed back through the system into the unit that was hooked up. I guess this is what I get for trying a different vendor for lower cost when I should have just went back to the original vendor i'ved used before. For what I paid for this service, I guess I'm just happy the return ducts are now clean.
