Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

My husband and I recently purchased our home and the previous owners did not care for the dryer or dryer vent at all. We had to repair the dryer vent(disconnected in ceiling) before we could get it cleaned. When I purchased the deal and called for scheduling, I was told that they could not fit me in for a few weeks. My husband and I had already been living without a dryer for over a month so I asked if they had any cancellations. Constantine scheduled me on a Friday evening and I really appreciate that the technician came out so late in the day to fit us in their schedule! Also, our dryer vent is several feet long and it had not been cleaned in YEARS. It was not an easy job. I also used Lowe's for air duct cleaning and it was great service as well.

I think it turned out okay. I remember they only sent one guy out. We have a 3-storey home so I thought they would be sending more than one professional out. But, the guy seemed to do a pretty decent job. I've never had it done before so I didn't know exactly what to expect but he seemed to do a pretty good job. I think that he was pretty thorough. I just think that it was a lot for just one guy to do. I might use them in the future.

The worker called ahead to say that he was on his way, and arrived within the time frame he had indicated. He was polite and courteous, and warned me ahead of time that there would be a lot of noise. I already had placed my indoor cat into his carrier so when the air hose started up - and it was extremely loud - I was able to move him into an outside hallway where it was quieter. When the job was over, the worker showed me how much dirt he had removed from the blower vent, and recommended that I have an HVAC technician come out to clean the coils since they were covered in dust (he was unable to access them himself). He cleaned up well after himself and didn't leave any dirt or trash behind. While I have not had this type of job done before, I was surprised that a high-velocity hose was used to blow air INSIDE the vents rather than simply remove them and suction both ends. His explanation was that all the dirt had to be forced in the direction of the furnace blower back in the utility room, but I don't know how straight the vents are to say how effective this method is in removing all of the dirt. In any event, they are cleaner than they were before and my guest room does not seem to be spewing residue as it was before. The original price on the invoice was stated as being $400, which I think is quite high as most other companies seem to charge a lot less judging by the ads that come in the mail.

After our dryer's heating unit burned out, the service technician explained to us that this is frequently caused by a clogged dryer vent and recommended that we get our vent professionally cleaned. Because our laundry room is in the center of the house the vent was rather long so we would not have been able to do this easily ourselves. The Lowe's technician was prompt and professional. He had to get up on a ladder to reach our 2nd floor outside vent and then ran a long twirling brush through the vent. Lots of lint came out into the bag so obviously this was way overdue. We thought the price was reasonable especially considering the 2nd floor location of our vent.

The appt was a little hard to schedule as they were booked weeks to months out. Understandable based on their service history though. Day of the driver had some car issues which led to them being a little late, but these things are unavoidable and this did not inconvenience us. The tech did a thorough job and provided feedback on the current state and health of the system. All of the work was of good quality. The tech when the extra mile and repaired a damaged section of the blower's housing at no cost. I would definitely use these guys in the future.

He did well on cleaning the HVAC system. He left a lot of dirt around the Dryer Vent and I am not sure if that was completely sanitized.

My dryer was taking hours & hours to dry clothes. So I decided that the first step was to have the vents cleaned and while I was at it, have the HVAC vents cleaned. First appointment - guy was late, owner threw in free sanitation. The dryer vents were filthy and the tech pointed out that my dryer was vented by a plastic hose and said that eventually it should be replaced, but it wasn't urgent. He quoted a price of $250 to replace the hose. Can't say how well the HVAC vents were cleaned. First load in dryer after cleaning was fine but the second time I operated the dryer, the same problems as before - hours & hours to dry with damp lint. So I called the company back and Joseph sent out a second tech, Michael, almost immediately to look at the dryer. Michael said the problem was probably the plastic hose because water was accumulating in the hose affecting the dryer. He quoted me a price of $120 (less than half of the first quote). He arranged to come out the next day to replace the hose. The next day, he was prompt and quickly replaced the hose. He even cleaned my dryer which had water drippings from the excess moisture. After three usages, the dryer works much better than before. Dry fluffy lint where it belongs in the trap and clothes drying in a normal time frame. I was disappointed with the first tech - while he did id the problem, he downplayed the importance of getting fixed, plus he quoted a price double of what I was ultimately charged. But I have nothing but praise for Michael, the second tech. Very professional, clear in his explanations and did a quality job.

They were amazing. I just had my air ducts replaced so he asked why I was looking to have them cleaned. I mentioned that there was a mildewy/ musty smell coming out of the vents so we did some troubleshooting to find the source of the problem and he concluded that I did not need to have the air duct cleaning done. They were an absolutely honest and professional company and it would have been easy for them to take advantage of me and do the work that did not need to be performed.

He came right on time, took his shoes off in the house. Looked at what needed to done, and then brought in all the equipment and advised what exactly he would be doing. The provider advised that my dryer vent was not up to code. It was like aluminum foil. He replaced and now I feel safer. Everything went perfect!!!! I would use them again.

The technician came and got the job done professionally. After finding out that the HVAC system was in the attic, he improvised and completed the job. Even when I was asking him 100 questions about the HVAC system, he was very patient and explained everything to me very well. He also recommended what I should do to maintain the AC system well. I would definitely recommend Lowe's to neighbors. The only thing I didn't like was that the cleanup afterwards was not done. I didn't mind doing the cleaning because I wanted to get the job done quickly as possible, but I'm sure other people are not going to be very happy about it. Other than that, A+!

Everything went very well. The provider had to more the original date due to an injury from a previous job, but a new date was arranged that day and the appointment was scheduled within just a few days on the weekend. Received a call with a time of arrival and they arrived on time. They did a great job of cleaning my ducts and providing me information on my system and updates throughout the service. Would certainly recommend and use again.

They answers all questions that I had. They were in and out in specified time. I was completely satisfied and will use them again.

I purchased a $199 deal to clean an unlimited amount of air vents and returns which appears to be a great price compared to other deals on Angie's List. Only the returns were cleaned - he didn't think cleaning the vents would be beneficial. When I had this done previously, all of the vents were covered and each was vacuumed one-by-one. This process was different where a big vacuum was attached to the main system and he blew air (with a wisk-like attachment) through each of the returns.

Arrived on time. Professional work and cleanliness. Would use again.

The work was done well, however we had to pay extra because of having two units in the house. The service agent that came to perform the work was somewhat rude at first and arguing this fact.
