Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

The service was okay. It's just hard to tell if it's made a difference or not. We thought it was a little bit pricey. They were good about talking to us and answering questions. They were here on time although getting the appointment took quite a while.

Extremely professional. Called 30 minutes before to let us know they wee on their way. Gentlemen came on time. Fantastic job. Even through in free sanitation. I am definitely using them next year.

The service man came right on time and began work immediately. He cleaned all air ducts from the furnace and replaced the air duct from behind the cloths dryer. He was professional and knew his work. The whole operation lasted about 60 to 90 minutes

The technician was great and the service was excellent. The technician walked me through everything he needed to do and completed the work in a timely fashion. Scheduling was the only piece that wasn't seamless. Overall worth the cost and time.

Things went well. Clothes now dry much faster than before.

While the technician was nice and professional, the reason I was disappointed is because he could not find the location where the dryer vent exited the house so assumed it just blew the hot air, lint and debris from the dryer into the ceiling which is a fire hazard and overall, a sub-optimal arrangement. He recommended having a new vent installed to exit the house for around $350. I didn't feel comfortable doing that on the spot so I hired another company to come and evaluate. They quickly found the exit point of the vent (which was on the roof of our home) so I ended up paying another $200 for a second company to come out and identify the exit point, and also clean the vent since they said it did not appear to have been cleaned. So overall, I was disappointed because I had to pay twice to get my dryer vent cleaned. Thankfully, I did not go through the trouble or expense to get a second vent installed as originally proposed.

They are on time and Explained the what they were doin to my father who at that time was the one checking on them.

I chose this company not only because of their high ratings, but I thought they were affiliated with the hardware store Lowes (which they are not). Two servicemen arrived as one was in the final stages of training. The "veteran" service person said that only one person would be performing the job but if I had any questions or concerns, I could ask either. Both were very friendly and courteous. They took the time to explain what they were going to do before they got started (I did not know they had to drill several holes into my air-duct but they were small and plugged up neatly afterwards). For those who have pets, make sure they are secured especially for pets that are afraid of loud noises as the sounds of the air being blasted and the machinery is loud. My dogs were a little nervous with all the noise but they made it through fine. The worker started out by taping a plastic film over all of the air vents in the house. He then moved a large machine (I'm assuming vacuum apparatus) into the basement. The machine was heavy and the worker was banging the machine down each step as it was being dragged down to the basement stairs. My basement is unfinished but I can't imagine if the stairs were wood or laminate, it probably would have left marks. He drilled holes and then began the cleaning process in which he had to blast air into each vent that was covered to have it vacuumed up from the main source. The process took about 1.5 hours. After the air ducts were cleaned, the worker proceeded to clean out the dryer vent. My dryer vent ?exhaust? was on the second story of the home so the worker had to borrow a ladder and asked the veteran worker for help. They used what looked like a duster brush and ?snaked? their way from the outside in to clean out the lint. My vents haven't been cleaned in 10+ years since I moved in and there was a lot of lint and debris. The process was messy as the debris came out everywhere outside the home. The debris was placed in a regular trash bag, not vacuumed up so I though that was a sloppy clean up. There were pieces of lint/debris in the grass and service person said the remaining lint would dissolve when it rained. That was the one thing I was disappointed to see as I wished they did a better job cleaning up. In the basement I did not see any evidence of debris from drilling so I was satisfied with that. Overall I would use their services again but may use a different company for my next cleaning. There was nothing impressive about their service, just friendly and courteous. It?s not only the customer service, it?s also the quality of work performed. I would give their customer service an A+ and the quality of work a B to B-.

We bought this deal on Angie's List. It took me a few days of calling them to have someone answer the phone, but the appointment was made easily once I got through. The tech arrived about a half hour after the appointment time--not too bad. He was very friendly and explained everything thoroughly. I thought the work was well done and I will cal them again when it is time for another cleaning.

The service provider could not communicate well in English. He did not explain the cleaning process well. I am not sure if the service is worth the price.

They were very professional, friendly, and worked quickly and efficiently. Our HVAC unit and our dryer run much better now!

It was okay. There were no additional charges. I didn't know what to expect. So, it was neither good nor bad. This was the first time I had air duct cleaning. Just one person came out to perform the service.

My wife and I can't say enough good things about our experience with Lowe's. Our technician arrived 25 minutes before the scheduled time we were given. That's a big deal for us because most of the time other service providers are late. Michael walked us through all of the steps of what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. And he did exactly what he said he was going to do. He was very courteous, polite and answered every question we had honestly and with a smile. If we ever need any duct work done again, Lowe's will be our first and only call.

Our technician, Bruno, arrived promptly. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He took some time to explain the entire process and pointed out some items with our system that needed to be addressed. Most importantly, he showed us where another provider had come in and only cleaned where an inspector could see part of an intake vent. This must have been done before we moved into the house. He started on the top floor and moved throughout the house, showing us before and after pictures as he moved. He showed us some of the clumps that had been removed and it was just gross. That afternoon we immediately noticed that the airflow out of the vents was stronger and therefore cooler. I had wanted to have our vents cleaned for years and I am glad I finally did. I have every intention of using this provider next year for the annual dryer vent cleaning. As for the management/scheduling side - we encountered a scheduling snafu prior to service and I was impressed with how they handled it. I plan on recommending Lowe's to neighbors and friends. Very polite and easy to set up appointments with. He took off his shoes and keep our house clean. He is also very thorough in his jobs and do not cut corners. I am very satisfied and will use the provider again.

The work went great. The provider was very professional and was willing to go the extra step for me. He even told me what to get purchase to fix my dryer vent, I ran out and got it, then he installed it! That was wonderful. My only complaint is that I was not fully informed of the next steps for my HVAC system after the work was performed. I only found that out a month later during a routine seasonal HVAC check-up that there was still dirt in the system that needed to be taken care of. I was told by that second technician that my cleaning provider should have informed me that there was still dirt in the system and that I needed to get my normal HVAC technician out to complete the work. That drop in communication was a mistake.

Service person was friendly and knowlegable. He explained in very detail what would be done and the reason of doing it. He was careful not to make dirty my carpet and also tried to minimize damage to the duct system (openig of holes in order to put in the extraction duct). To sum up, the service was very satisfactory. The service and technician was excellent. All the reviews are accurate. They take pride in their work and show/explain everything that is going to be done as well as show you the finished product. A very honest and thorough company. Highly recommend!

I bought the deal and Lowe's scheduled within 2 weeks for the service. We moved into this house a couple of months ago and it is a 60+ year old home. We noticed what seemed like a lot of dust and my mother looked in one of the ceiling-level vents and said it looked awful. So I saw this deal and went ahead and purchased it. The technician called when he was on his way, about 35-45 minutes away. He arrived as promised and got to work on the system, my mother was there overseeing the process. He opened the register she said was full of dirt and exclaimed "Oh! This is good for my job!" He spent a good 3-4 hours cleaning everything out. When he opened the furnace, there was also a pile of awful looking dirty dust in there. He asked if we wanted to add furnace-cleaning to the service for $70, mom agreed so he cleaned that out as well. He changed the filter but said that there was a part of the track that holds the filter missing and that air was leaking around the filter, it would be an additional charge to fix that. So we added that on as well. My only quibble was that the clean-up around the furnace area could have been better, I had to sweep up and vacuum a lot of dirt off the floor and from behind and around the HVAC system. The next day all of us woke up with sinus issues and had headaches. Perhaps the cleaning stirred up all kinds of 60 year old crud into the air. We spent several days just vacuuming and dusting over and over to pick up the residual dirt that was settling. After all the cleaning it seems much better. Bottom line, I think I probably got more than my money's worth since I doubt the ducts in this house had ever been cleaned and they were gross. The technician was proficient and courteous and worked hard to complete the job.

The service personal came as per the scheduled time and did a good job in cleaning the Air duct, return vents and the main vent.

They missed cleaning (2) air intake. Overall they did good job.

Arrived on time and work was done professionally. Left work area clean and was respectful of my home.

Very professional. Careful about soot dust escaping. Thorough job. Would use their services again.
