Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

I bought my first Angie's List coupon deal for this. I bought a new house, where four children had lived, and the ducts were horribly dirty and clogged. I scheduled the visit about three weeks in advance. The day of, the technician called about 90 minutes before the scheduled time to say he was running a bit late and would be at the new house between 12:30 and 1:00. I told him that was fine, because I had been given a window of 12:30 to 2:30, so he was right on time. He showed up, walked through the house with me to identify all the vents and returns, and got right to work. He had to cut two holes in the duct work because a new furnace had been installed in July, and no holes were cut to allow for the cleaning. He walked me through what he was going to do, and went to it. After he was done, he said the ducts were pretty dirty, and hadn't been cleaned for a while. He also suggested I replace a number of register covers. He didn't really show me all the debris from the duct cleaning, (I should have asked, just to confirm that he did what he says he did). I could certainly hear the vacuum sucking up all the dirt, and I did see what came out of the dryer vent, so I'm reassured that he did the job. Since it's a new furnace, the house had previously heated up quickly, but I'm hoping to see even better output and more efficiency (and lower bills!), with the ducts clear and sanitized, too.

The providers, Lowe's, arrived on time. They explained the process and began their work immediately. They completed their work in a timely manner and cleaned up after themselves. During the process, the providers continued to explain to the homeowners about the cleanings and what should be done for future services.

Bruno called before he arrived. Very nice and professional. Service was fast and efficient. He also indicated that our ducts probably had never been cleaned. I started breathing better immediately after hearing that as we have a house build in the 1960's. My only suggestion is if a person uses the Angie's List special and I provide all of my contact information, I feel the contractor should call me to schedule at that point. I didn't realize I had to check the Angie's List email to call and schedule the service until weeks after I had purchased it and hadn't heard anything. I would definitely recommend them though.

This vendor did a thorough job of cleaning out of ducts, and the Angie's List coupon made this a good buy.

The tech that came out was very informative and obviously had a strong customer focus. We went through the entire house and after looking at our system, he was convinced that we did not need the cleaning at this time. He suggested we consider doing the cleaning in a couple years. He saved us over $300. He did charge the travelers fee which I saw as totally fair. This was very surprising to me. He could have done the work and walked away with the total fee and I would not have known the difference. Instead he carefully walked me through the system and explained what they look for and why he didn't think we need the service. Astounding! When we need the service, we WILL go to this providers. Their customer focus sold me on their service! It was a very refreshing experience!

Two employees, Sergio and Max, of Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning showed up on time and asked to see each room and the vents to be cleaned. Once that was completed, they went to work. They were very polite and professional, and explained what they would be doing along the way. They also informed me about how often this service should be done, which I appreciated. The only reason that I gave them a "B" in quality is because a day or two after the cleaning, we discovered that they had left a big ball of lint and a dead bird (both from the vent) on the side of the house. I thought they would clean up everything. I'm hoping that was just an oversight and not a standard procedure. I would use this company in the future.

Great. Good service. Dont well. It was a little hard to understand the worker. He had a very thick russian accent.

The provider who came to do the work was just the nicest guy I've met in along time. The house vents had never been cleaned so he had a big job, but had a great attitude. He also educated me on the important of cleaning the vents. He took his time and did a really thorough job. He communicated with me every step of the way. On top of all that, I was having some difficulty figuring out my circuit breaker and he helped me. This was not in his job description at all. But that's just how nice this man was!

I had purchased an Angie's list deal from this company and was contacted promptly to schedule an appointment. At that time, they were scheduling almost 3 weeks out, and it was my hope to schedule something sooner. Once the appointment was scheduled, I received a confirmation and the representative arrived as planned. He worked diligently to clean all of the vents in our single home. There is a noticeable difference in the air quality of the home since the job was done. I would recommend Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning Service!

All was fine. Nick did his job conscientiously and thoroughly. He took care of our home while he was working. No complaints here.

They came on the scheduled time and performed the job diligently. The vent covers were carefully removed with knife at first so that the paint won't be damaged. One thing that I will note for anyone who's looking for air duct cleaning service is that there will be a lot of very tiny dust in the air after the work. ( I found other people writing this experience too). It seems unavoidable (?) because it's so tiny so light that it will escape into the air when they clean the covers, etc. We waited until the next day to clean the house so that the dust would rest on floor/furnitures,etc. - I mean, you can't remove those dust when they are in air. So next time when I'm going to do this service, I will cover everything first so it will be easier for cleaning the house afterwards.

Easy scheduling, prompt arrival. Nice technican, but a little sloppy with the overspray of the sanitizer on my hardwood flooring. Had to mop up in every room after he left. Left a bit of debris down by the furnace where the vacuum was used. Needed to vacuum the floor where his equipment was located. The dryer vent was vacuumed from outside opening, the long connection was not touched with the long brushes that were used in the ducts, nor was the hose removed at the back of the dryer for cleaning. Not sure if this service was worth it, based on my observation of what was done, I appreciated the way he reinstalled all the vent covers, providing new screws were needed. He was onsite approximately 2 hours in my townhouse. Haven't turned on the furnace yet, so not sure if we will notice any improvements in the dust -- A/C is off now too, due to the current weather temperatures.

Luzberg showed up on time and was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. He answered all the questions we had and showed us before and after shots of the ducts. We would highly recommend using Lowes. Everyone we encountered from scheduling to service was kind and professional.

Excellent service. We knew that we had birds nesting in our outdoor dryer vent but had no idea of the extent of the blockage until our technician showed us how much he removed. He cleaned up all of the debris and left the outdoor area as clean as he found it. He did a great job sanitizing and cleaning our interior duct system as well. He hooked up this giant suction machine to our intake and sprayed air/sanitized all of the vents in every room of my residence. I had no idea how filthy my HVAC system was. I would highly recommend this service to anyone. The technician gave me about 45 minutes notice to his arrival and showed up within the 2 hour time frame I was given when I made the appointment. The company also offered Saturday appointments which was convenient for me and my wife, as we work full time. The technician was polite and friendly and very quick. The entire service only took about an hour for a 1000 sqft 2 bedroom condo.

Went great...Maksym and Sergey did a great job and were really nice. They cared a lot about the quality of their service.

Super professional guy arrived after calling 30 minutes ahead. He asked for a tour, took an assessment and asked me to show him all the vents. Then he helped me clear out an space to haul his big machine into our utility room and he got to work. Took less than 2 hours total. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Terrible. They did not contact me on time, I could not understand them when I called. I asked for a refund. The company marked the deal redeemed - it was not. This company has not responded to two requests from Angies list for information. They are allowed to have an entire week to respond and have not. Angie's LIst appears to give them the benefit of the doubt over the customer. I will never use Lowe's. Seriously disappointed in Lowe's and the way it was handled through Angie's list.

Terrific experience! Technician was punctual and professional and reviewed the scope of the project prior to beginning work on our home. Project took approximately three hours and everything went very well. We will definitely use this company in the future. Thank you!

Wow! Call me impressed. Lowes Air Duct Cleaning has very good reviews on Angie's List so I was expecting a good service. But they delivered beyond my expectations. The two technicians, Max and Sergey, both from Ukraine, were very professional, honest, detailed oriented and kind. I can only wish all the service providers I use at my house are like them. In the morning of the service. Max and Sergey called me to tell me that they will be at my house at 1pm. At 1:01pm, my nanny at home called me that they had just arrived. I explained to them over the phone the lay out of the house and where the HVAC systems are located, they started the work without any issue. When I got home later, I saw that they had left their shoes outside the house to avoid getting dirt on my newly finished floor. They were very careful and patient with every vent. They blocked every vent that was not being cleaned with plastic film, and they picked up all the dust that dropped on the floor from ceiling vents once they are done cleaning the vent. My house has 3 HVAC systems and it took them a full 5 hours to finish the job. I later learned that this job took longer than usual because I told them my wife and son are very allergic to dust, so they took extra care to clean each vent. After they were done, they showed me video images of the air ducts before and after the cleaning and they showed me the dust caught on the filter of their machine. In the middle of the work, one of them tripped on the stairs and fell. Their equipment hit a dent on my wall. They immediately told me about it and apologized. I didn't mind at all given how hard they had worked on my house. After they had left my house for about 15 minutes, they returned. It turns out that one of them found a small plastic cap in his pocket that came from my air duct. The cap plugs a small hole on the air duct and without it the air duct would leak air. So they came back to put the cap back on. I really appreciated their honesty and responsibility. If they had just thrown away the cap, I would never know the difference. This whole experience was night and day compared to the last time I had my air ducts cleaned (I was completely cheated last time). I couldn't be happier with the service of Maxi and Sergey and I would highly recommend my follow users of Angie's list to call them when you need your air duct cleaned.

My wife and I just bought a house, and while changing some of the vent and return grille covers, we noticed the ducts were dusty. We found this company on AngiesList, and took advantage of their vent cleaning special. The technician arrived on time, and quickly began working. It did not take very long to have our vents clean and looking great. We changed our air filter after it was done, which had now trapped a great deal of dust, and have noticed a difference in the air quality in our home. Thank you very much for you service.

it was fine but they were not very nice

Great. Bruno did an excellent job. He called 20 minutes ahead of time of arrival. This was two hours earlier than scheduled and this worked better for me. He was professional, respectful, and thorough.
