Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

We are a family with two asthmatic and wanted to improve the air quality in our home. We ended up with dust EVERYWHERE in our house (worst in the kitchen but also over our children's toys, in bedrooms, etc.). Two days later and we're still experiencing asthma attacks from all the crap in the air. If we'd been warned, we could have covered surfaces, but there was no warning (even after I explicitly stated that we have asthma). Will never call again. Ever. UPDATED: I telephoned and spoke to their office, and was informed that this does sometimes happen, though rarely. They refunded our money, so I improved the overall rating of this review. Still would not call again, though.

The coordinator was very responsive, even returning a call once when I accidentally pocket dialed. The tech was professional. The reason I will not use them again is that they failed to cover the vents when pressurizing the vents for cleaning, which led to a deposition of a fine mist of dust throughout the house, including in a cup of coffee I was drinking at the time. When I mentioned it to the tech, he said that the utility room had dust. That was quite likely, but the dust created as a result of the duct cleaning was not there beforehand. Nice folks and it appears that few others have had problems like we experienced, but there appeared to be a disconnect in our service.

They didn't detect that one of my zones was blocked due to a bad solenoid on the damper, which left it locked closed as I later discovered, so that section of the ductwork didn't get cleaned. They should probably have noted that they didn't get any airflow when they worked that section of the house.

Excellent workers, but left house without dusting it off.

It went fine. The kids worked hard. I would recommend them. There were two units. So, I had to pay for the additional unit. It took a while for the appointment. They were early.

Excellent service! The technician took time to answer all my questions. He was timely, knowledgeable, and very professional.

Technician actually called and wanted to come earlier than the scheduled appointment time. I was able to get the service completed earlier in the day which was a nice surprise. Technician was very friendly. My husband and I had a little trouble understanding him but we managed to communicate and all went very well.

We had a few issues with them. They did not seem to care for my personal belongings. They did a good job with the system but when they were cleaning the ducts, they did not put any plastic or try to protect anything. My son is allergic. They did not charge anything additional or try to charge extra. They were very responsive and willing to do the job as soon as they could because my son and I had to move out of the house owing to our terrible allergies. The two men that showed up were hard to understand because of their dialect. They tried their best.

Covered one system. Very straight forward. Good deal.

Never heard from them. Am going to dispute the charge on my credit card to get my money back!

Service technician arrived on time and was professional and courteous. Did a great job.

Everything went terrific! I'd had a concern as all ductwork and piping for the dryer vent are above the Sheetrock ceiling in the basement. He explained he'd cut an opening in both the main supply and return ducts and install a patch at conclusion which was done. He was extremely neat and put all furniture back where it had been. He cleaned the dryer piping completely as well as the inside of the dryer. I would definitely recommend this company as they did a commendable job. I had gotten this contractor through an Angie's List Big Deal, well worth the cost, unlimited supply and return vents.

I was very happy with the services provided. The technician arrived on time and was very courteous. He took his time to do a thorough job and showed me through video and the cleaning container how much material was cleaned from the air ducts. Check with the company on whether or not bathroom exhaust ducts are included in Angie's list deals. It was not in the one I purchased, which was okay, but would have been nice to know at the beginning. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

I bought a $269 big deal for this service and it was fine -- good. It was a while ago; everything seemed to go okay. We wanted them to come over before July 4 but they had not gotten back to us for a while. What they could do better is if somebody buys a deal they could get back with them quicker. He showed me what they took out of the vents and it was pretty significant. The vents had not been cleaned since I bought the house five years ago. He was good once he got here.

Came on time and did the work satisfactorily.

The provider arrived on time and worked very methodically throughout the house, cleaning the heating and air conditioning ducts in our four bedroom Colonial house. We had bought a package to perform both of these services for $269. After finishing with the heating ducts, he set to work on the dryer vent and quickly identified the reason the dryer was operating so poorly: There were holes in the flexible vent tubing. He cleaned out the accumulated lint, which was wet, and then told us what he needed to do to replace the tubing. While he had the dryer pulled out from the wall, however, he also made another discovery. There was an area cut out of the wallboard through which mice had been entering the house! We had been trying to figure out how the mice had been getting in, so this was a very helpful discovery. After he replaced the dryer vent tubing, he and my husband worked together to cut some plywood to block this opening, and the provider installed it for us. Not only are we pleased with the results of the duct cleaning and deordorizing, but our dryer works much more efficiently now that the tubing is clean and intact. A load of clothes that had taken three dryer cycles now takes just one cycle -- as it should. And, in addition to those, the mouse traffic has been greatly reduced. What impressed us about this provider was that he was so thorough and that he kept us informed of what he was finding. The appointment took longer than we expected, but that was because he did so much more work than the initial package we had purchased. We would gladly use this provider in the future.

Michael Caballero called in advance and arrived on time. Explained the process in advance, then explained what he found after he was done. Nothing but work done in between. House was left spotless. Service was great. Will use in future. Recommend to anyone who needs ducts cleaned. And honestly, we all do.

They arrived on time. The person doing the work was friendly, polite and seemed invested in doing a good job. He was also tidy and concientious as he worked. Unfortunately, i had wanted my dryer vent cleaned as well, and he left it for last, which did not work out so well, as it was dark and pouring rain outside and the vent exit is outside. He was not prepared for the vent to be located so high up (our laundry room is upstairs where the bedrooms are) and i don't think he could reach it. They did not charge me for the dryer, but now i have to have them come again to do it.

Average. Did not have all tools to perform floor ducting cleaning thus limiting completeness. Tools and vehicle were well maintained and clean. Prompt and polite. Cleaned up well once complete. Operator understood what he was doing and appropriate process.

This was an Angie's List Super Deal purchase. I was contacted soon after I made the on-line purchase and I made an appointment with no trouble. Mr. Caballero called this morning to say he was on his way and gave an approximate time of arrival. He was thoughtful enough to text me twenty minutes later to say he was delayed by bad weather and traffic (it was horribly foggy and raining); saying he would arrive as soon as possible. He actually was not as late as he thought and was well within the original two hour window he had given me. Mr. Caballero was extremely thorough in his job, performing all the tasks that were a part of the Super Deal. He cleaned and sanitized the entire house vent system, cleaned the dryer duct (all the way to the outside!) and advised my husband on trouble spots to look for and maintenance suggestions. Once he left, you would never known he was there. Nothing out of place, no dirt, nothing. Just squeaky clean vents! We received an itemized receipt and completed work ticket via e-mail just minutes after he left. We are so happy we took advantage of the deal and will add Mr. Caballero to our list of trusted vendors (deal or not!). Please do not hesitate to contact Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning!

Vendor arrived on time and finished on time. They seem to have done a good job and cleaned up after themselves. There were three on the crew and they were all polite and professional.

It was okay. They didn't charge me more than the deal. The person who came missed one or two vents. He didn't open it and he didn't clean it.

We stayed out of the way and didn't watch. They did everything in a professional manner, replaced all of the ducts, and left the house as clean as it was before they got here. They told us to replace the air filter in 2-3 days -- which we did.
