Description of Work: Lowe's did a good job of cleaning our air ducts. The only issue was that, since most of our ducts are in the ceiling, there was a little dust and residue left under a couple of them. Also, we have one return that is about 15 feet up and the service man did not have a ladder to reach it so he did not clean that return.

Description of Work: The workers showed up on time and did a professional job. They were friendly, courteous and showed me the results of the cleaning. In addition, they alerted me to the need to have my heating/air conditioning serviced (not something that they do). While I suspect that I could have found a cheaper alternative, I am satisfied with the work they did.

Description of Work: I originally bought the "daily deal" for "unlimited" vents and ducts for ~$175. When the technician arrived, I was informed that the price did not include the dryer vent. I paid an extra $90 for that service. So, I believe future ads should probably spell this out more clearly so you clearly understand what you are purchasing. | |The scheduling process could have been a bit smoother. I input my desired dates after purchasing the service and was never contacted. I ultimately called them, left a message and my phone call was returned the next day. It took almost a full month from purchase to actual service. So, the scheduling process could be improved. | |The service itself was professional and clean. Constantine did an excellent job and was friendly. He arrived in the scheduled window.

Description of Work: Had to reschedule the service due to family emergency. Company was very difficult to get a hold of and when we were finally able to reach them we were told we most likely didn't even need the service. We will be seeking a refund.

Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's List $175 deal to get our AC system cleaned because we purchased the house 2 years ago and are trying to cut down on allergens indoors. The tech showed up on time and ready to clean the AC system and was courteous. However, I'd communicated to the office the week previous that our AC unit is on the roof, so that a tall ladder and whatever other necessary measures for that would be needed. The person on the phone said they were only legally allowed to use a certain height of ladder (i think 28'), and if that wasn't tall enough they wouldn't be able to do the job. i do not know the height of the house, so we agreed that we'd just find out when the technician came to the house. fair enough, i was fine with that. | |However, when the technician arrived, he had not been informed of any of this. He said it's unusual for the unit to be on the roof, that the ladder was probably tall enough, but that the real problem was that bringing the necessary tools up the ladder makes it a two-person job (for safety reasons) rather than a one-person job, which totally makes sense to me. So he called back to the office for guidance, then returned and said he was going to go ahead and do it. | |He did the job quickly, answered all of my many questions about the process. Told me the filter i needed and replaced it for me after i ran out to get it. I also appreciated that he took his shoes off when he came in the house without my asking him to. | |So, i'll call them again in 3 or 4 years. The only problem was the lack of communication between the office and the tech despite my efforts to prevent any confusion about the AC unit being on the roof. And the fact that it might not have been safe for the tech do go up on the roof alone, but his boss must have told him to do so anyway-- i was a bit concerned about the tech's safety based on what he'd said initially, but he was cheerful and assured me it was ok safety-wise. I'm just not sure that it actually was or whether the tech felt safe doing the job alone as his boss apparently told him to. | |So when i gave less than "A" grades above, it was for the home office lack of organization, not the tech, who did everything he was supposed to. | |Also, with duct cleaning, i really don't see a way to evaluate the work. i thought the ducts were probably dirty, the tech said they were moderately so, and that now they're clean. But i really have no idea, so chose N/A for quality.
