Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

The technician arrived promptly and was very courteous. He explained the cleaning process and took me to the basement to show me where he was going to insert the vacuum into the air ducts and how he would seal them when the process was complete. He had to cut around the air return vent because it was painted shut, but he let me know how he was going to do that and how my painter could repair the paint without resealing the vent again. He removed the vent cover without damage to the paint on the wall. I was very impressed with the technicians level of professionalism and care for my home.

I was super impressed by the individual that came out to my house. They not only clean out the vent but also have a camera that can go into the entirety if the vent duct from the outside of your house to the dryer. Once he cleaned it, he showed me with the camera the entirety of the vent so that I could ask questions and see that it was clear. He even found a connection point between two pieces of duct that hadn't been sealed correctly. At no charge he went to his truck, got aluminum tape, and sealed the connection point to ensure no air and lint was escaping in the ceiling of my house!

The house had been vacant for several years and before using the HVAC and the dryer I wanted to make sure it was clean. He found two birds nests and a duct full of lint in the dryer vent, fire waiting to happen. Even gave me instructions on how to get a bird cage over the duct to protect from future nests, and how to easily change the connection between the dryer and wall to the duct, current one was melted and full of lint. Would totally use them again to prevent house fires. Also the HVAC vents/ducts were actually not bad for sitting for so long, gave me pointers on how to keep them nice and clean.

They did a very good job. Arrived on time, worked hard and cleaned up. The dryer vent ran about 25 feet to the outside wall. We purchased the discounted cleaning through Angie's list.

Excellent Service. These guys always call ahead, show up on time and do excellent work. Sergey showed up from Lowes and was nothing but professional and informed me of the process. He showed me before and after pictures of the vents...they were disgusting. This is my second time using this service and company. Very satisfied with this company and great price.

The person arrived a little late, but was in contact with us the entire time to keep us updated. He spent 3.5 hours in our house and was very thorough, even taking time to explain to us what he was doing, why he was doing it the way he was doing it, and showing us our problem areas. I am taking lots of deep breaths as I can really feel the difference in the air. I'm so glad we booked Lowe's and cleaned out our ducts.

Got the deal from Angies List. yesterday, then schedule work done next day. Mike came 5 minutes early on schedule at 4 pm. Mike worked real hard, and very professional. Knowledgeable what he has done. It took him over 2 hours to get job done. Good Job Mike. Beside, good job he has done. It went very well. He offered me an antiseptic cleansing that he could spray into the vents because some of the vents were real old. I have a granddaughter who is asthmatic and he suggested that we use antiseptic thing on it. It's regularly $79 and he gave it to me for $49. So I did do that as well.

Technician came out & explained the process then went to work. Ducts were cleaned then sanitized/disinfected. I"m happy with the results.

Purchased and Angies list deal for cleaning and sanitizing of the ducts. The tech arrived well within the window they had suggested and quickly got to work. He was professional and friendly and happy to explain what all he was doing. It looked to him like our ducts had not been cleaned in a long time (not a surprise to us given how the previous owner of the house had taken care of the house in every other way). He used equipment that reached very far down into the ducts, (we had read to be wary of any who just seem to clean out the top portion of the duct) as well as a large vacuum that was attached to our main supply line, and then to our return. He never tried to upsell us on service and gave us some tips to keep things cleaner going forward. We were very impressed and happy with his work and plan to hire Lowes again in 3 to 4 years when we want to clean our ducts again.

The technician arrived on time, was courteous and explained how they planned to clean the ductwork. They accessed our ducts using openings from the last time we had them cleaned, and sealed them up afterwards. They were very concerned about the amount of lint they got out of my dryer duct, showed it to me, and recommended that we have them cleaned more often. It was a very positive experience!

A++++++++++. We had just purchased a new dryer and wanted to have the vent system cleaned before it was installed. They were able to do it the day after we called. They were prompt, efficient and professional. A week after the dryer was installed, we had an error code that implied a blockage. Just to make sure it wasn't a vent issue, I called Lowe's to discuss the issue. They offered to come out free of charge to check the system for me and were even able to come that evening. The team was incredibly professional and checked the whole system. They even snaked a camera through the whole system so that I could see it was clear. It ended up being an issue with the dryer itself but I was very reassured by the fact that they were able to show me that the vent system was clear. It is so rare to have service like this these days and I will be using Lowe's for as long as I live in the area and will recommend to all my friends.

They did poor a very poor job in my opinion. They didn't do any work in the house on the ducts. They only vacuumed it out from the outside. They left the debris for me to clean up and they brought the dirty filter in my home when I specifically asked them to clean it outside. They did't do a complete job.

It was a good experience. I bought the $99 dryer vent cleaning on Angie's List for $99, and Lowe's called right away to schedule. They came the next day, right on time, and cleaned the vent.

The technician arrived promptly, near the beginning of the time window (he actually would have been earlier except for a flat tire). He reviewed the site and explained the process. He then went about his work very professionally. Mr. Sejas took time to show me the condition of our duct work, given that in 26 years in the house we had never had then cleaned. We had always made sure that the system filters were either cleaned or replaced on a scheduled basis and had, for a number of years in the 90s, used cheesecloth inside the vents to reduce dust, but our system was in pretty bad shape. The work consist of blowing air through the ducts at 250 psi and capturing/removing the dust particles at the furnace. It is noisy a each vent must be visited, but there is no reason to stay in the same room or even same area of the house as the technician. The dryer vent cleaning I did not observe, but he worked at both ends, at the dryer and the outside vent. He advised that we run our system fan during the day, changing to auto setting at night, or at least any time there was a lot of activity in the house that would stir up dust. This allows the air filtration system to do it job and clean the air - something that had never occurred to me. He also recommended repeating the service every 3-4 years if after checking the intake duct, it appeared as dust was building up again. The impetus for having the service done was my HVAC company's technician who, while performing routine maintenance, called me down to the basement and showed my the large pile of dust that had formed at the base of the duct system. He said forget about the dust, it is the excrement of the dust mites that live in it that can cause respiratory discomfort. He also warned me to make sure about the company I hired to do the work, hence my checking Angie's List and getting a discounted price. Since Lowe's came in and cleaned the ducts the inside air is noticeably fresher.. ONE piece of advice. If you are going to have your ducts cleaned do it before you change your air filter, not after. Even with the removal of dust by their equipment, the filter was full of dust - and was brand new because of the recent HVAC service. So I paid twice for a filter when I could have paid once.

This was a $269 big deal purchase. It went kind of okay. I was kind of surprised to see that there was only one person to do all the job. I had other cleaners before at another house and there was a team of cleaners, four or five people who came over and they were doing the job for a couple of hours. There was only one person who was a young nice guy. He was alone, basically, and spent quite a bit of time here. The bottom line is he forgot to clean up a couple of returns. I don't have complaints about the work that he did and he did well, but it is just that he forgot a couple of things. I think this was due to the fact that he was working alone. He tried his best, but this company should work a little differently. They responded fairly quick. He was punctual and the guy was pretty professional.

The work was fast and has improved the quality of the air in my home. Workman charged an extra $40 to seal off unattached duct in basement ceiling. That seemed a little overpriced for job that took less than five minutes.

Great. No mess, pleasant smell in the house when complete. Made recommendations on other services that should be performed and we agreed to do some of those as well. Sealed and cleaned up professionally.
