TruGreen Lawn Care - 5680

I re-landscaped my yard in 2004 and 2005, taking out trees, adding terracing and a paver patio. I wanted to spend the money on the hard-scape and shrubbery, not on turf. After planting a new lawn from seed in Spring of 2005, then aerating and over-seeding that fall, I contracted TruGreen ChemLawn to do regular treatments of the yard. This spring it looked pretty weedy an had a lot of bare spots where the seed had sprouted, then died out. Ive had five applications under the treatment plan so far. The grass has thickened, filled and spread, and the weeds and crabgrass are disappearing. My lawn looks better than it ever has. I still have a few spots that need work; mostly on a slope that gets a little erosion. Theyve advised me to fill in with a little topsoil, to aerate and over seed one last time, and by next year it should be solid green.

We have outdoor animals that need to be kept inside on the day of service. The first scheduled day, the company did not arrive. So we had to keep our pets inside a second time in order to get the job done. When they did arrive, Todd introduced himself as this was his first visit. He quickly applied the chemicals and was on his way. After only a few days we could see the chemicals already working. It began killing off the weeds and greening up the grass.

THEY SEEM TO CARE, AND THEY DO A PRETTY GOOD JOB KILLING WEEDS AND FERTILIZING THE GRASS. THEY CAME ON TIME, AND THE PRICE THEY GAVE US WASN'T BAD. I'M HAPPY WITH THE WAY MY LAWN LOOKS.

THIS IS A SERIES OF TREATMENTS THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. THEY COME OUT ABOUT FOUR TIMES A YEAR TO TREAT THE LAWN. SO FAR WE HAVE BEEN PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK AND RESULTS.

THEY WILL DO WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO DO. THEY WILL TAKE SUGGESTIONS FROM THE CUSTOMER. THEY CALL AHEAD OF SCHEDULE AND IF IT IS SOMETHING YOU DON'T WANT DONE, THAT SEEMS TO FINE WITH THEM. THEY DO A GOOD JOB.

They came in March and April, then they stopped coming, called them on July 3rd, she looked up my records and said "Oh you're right, there's no reason!" She asked if I wanted them to come out Thursday and I instead cancelled my service. She asked if it was because they did not show up, I said yes, and then I had earlier complained to a salesman from them a couple weeks ago trying to sell me an additional service, but apparently that went no where.

We are not thrilled with the way our lawn looks with this service. There aren't a lot of weeds but there are allot of bare spots on the lawn. We are currently shopping for a new service.

Horrible - They extort people, convinced they do this all the time. They treated our Lawn. After, we called and requested to discontinue our service. Came home one day, they had come anyway. There was no confirmation call prior to the service. Called to complain, stated we were not paying for the service. They continued to bill and harass us, even reported us to a credit collection service. We ended up paying due to the duress. This year, they had the nerve to call us again to see if we were ready for more service.

THE TECHNICIAN KNOWS WHICH APPLICATION TO USE.

I was called by a Trugreen Chemlawn representative asking if the next day would be a good time to come out for another lawn treatment. This occurred in November or December of 2005. I asked which application this would be and the representative said ''Six''. I agreed because I had agreed to six applications in the Spring. He also asked if I wanted a bag of ice melt that was safe for concrete. I said yes. The lawn was treated and the ice melt was dropped off. The bill I received indicated it was the seventh treatment of the year, and the bag of ice melt I received plainly said on the bag ''May cause scaling, chipping or surface flaking'' of ''untreated concrete''. I paid the bill, but will be looking elsewhere for lawn treatment service in 2006.

First, I was told that the treatments would protect against both weeds and insects and that my first treatment would be discounted. I found out that both statements were far from the truth. My first treatment was billed at regular price and I was later told the treatments were only good against weeds. In late spring I requested an evaluation of lawn due to brown patches taking over my yard. I was told that I had not watered my lawn as suggested and that the fertilizer had possibly burned my lawn. However, they were unaware of my underground sprinkler system which was program to water as needed. While talking to my neighbor he had suggested that the brown patches might be caused by grubs. After pulling up parts of the turf I noticed several white larva type insects (grubs). I found it disturbing that they were unable to detect the grubs. After all, they are the TRU-PROFESSIONALS.

AFTER THE TREATMENTS WERE DONE, THEY KEPT CALLING ME! THEY CALLED EVERY NIGHT FOR A WEEK. I HAD TO GET MY LAWYER TO CALL THEM TO GET THEM TO STOP CALLING ME.

THE TREES ALL LOOK REALLY HEALTHY. THE MAN COMES INTO THE YARD and SPRAYS THE TREES and SHRUBS. THE TREATMENT IS DONE QUICKLY. WE HAVE A BLUE SPRUCE THAT DID NOT LOOK VERY HEALTHY A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO. THE COMPANY SENT OUT A MAN WHO GAVE THE TREE AN EXTRA TREATMENT and NOW THE TREE IS LOOKING MUCH BETTER.

WE HAVE BEEN PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE OF TRUGREEN CHEMLAWN. THEY HAVE HELPED US MAINTAIN AN ATTRACTIVE LAWN. WE APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT THEY CALL AHEAD OF TIME TO LET US KNOW THEY ARE COMING.

WE HAVE USED TRUGREEN FOR 3 YEARS NOW AND ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. THEY HAVE RESPONDED IN A TIMELY MANNER WHEN TREATMENT IS NEEDED IN BETWEEN OUR NORMAL MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE.

I NEVER ACTUALLY SAW THE PERSON. THEY NEVER TALKED TO US ABOUT WHAT THEY FOUND. THEY DID SPRAY OUR YARD. THE MAJORITY OF OUR WEEDS WERE GONE. OUR BUSINESS SLIP STATED WE SHOULD CALL FOR FOLLOWUP IF OUR WEEDS WERE NOT COMPLETELY GONE.

THE SERVICE IS FAST, HOWEVER, I NOTICED I HAVE AS MANY WEEDS AS IF I HAD DONE THE JOB MYSELF. I WONDER SOMEWHAT HOW MUCH FERTILIZER IS ACTUALLY REACHING THE GROUND, AS THEY ARE SO QUICK TO GET THE JOB DONE.

ALWAYS CALL AHEAD TO LET YOU KNOW WHEN THEY WILL SERVICE YOUR YARD. ALWAYS LEAVE A BILL AND A SIGN FOR PEOPLE AND OUR DOG TO STAY OFF GRASS. GOOD JOB FOR THE $.

I HAVE USED TRUGREEN LAWN CARE SERVICE AT MY PRESENT LOCATION FOR OVER THREE YEARS.MY LAWN LOOKS AND FEELS HEALTHY.TRUGREEN OFFER MORE SELECTIONS AND I WILL PLAN ON USING THEM IN THE FUTURE?

USED FOR 1.5 YEARS. DID A GOOD JOB WITH THE LAWN, BUT THEN THIS YEAR I DECIDED TO SHOP AROUND IN THE SPRING. I HAD THREE COMPANIES COME OUT. MY MAJOR PROBLEM WAS THAT I HAD SOME LARGE PATCHES OF A FAST GROWING, COARSE LOOKING GRASS/WEED GROWING IN THE MIDDLE OF MY BLUEGRASS. HE SAID IT WAS JOHNSONGRASS AND I WOULD NEED TO ROUNDUP MY WHOLE YARD AND START OVER. ANOTHER COMPANY (AND THE OSU EXTENSION) CORRECTLY IDENTIFIED IT AS TALL FESCUE, AND I HAVE SUBSEQUENTLY SELECTIVELY ELIMINATED IT WITHOUT DAMAGING THE BLUEGRASS. I'M GLAD I DIDN'T TAKE HIS ADVICE. I WOULD THINK A LAWN CARE ''PROFESSIONAL'' SHOULD KNOW A LOT MORE ABOUT LAWNS THAN THIS.

THEY ARE PAID $32 FOR EVERY TIME THEY COME OUT TO DO OUR TREATMENT. WE DO NOT HAVE TO PAY IF THEY HAVE TO COME OUT MORE TIME BECAUSE WE DO NOT SEE RESULTS. THEY ARE RESPONSIVE TO OUR CALLS.

HAVE USED SEVERAL OTHER COMPANIES, and THESE ARE THE BEST RESULTS I'VE HAD AT ALL, VERY RESPONSIVE, HAVE REPEATED PERFORMANCES AT MY REQUEST.

TWO YEARS AGO, THEY OFFERED ME A DISCOUNT FOR AN INITIAL LAWN CARE TREATMENT AND A FREE 14 POINT ANALYSIS. I DIDN'T SEE MUCH DIFFERENCE AFTER THEIR TREATMENT, SO I DIDN'T ASK FOR ANY ADDITIONAL TREATMENTS. THE FAR WORSE PART OF THE EXPERIENCE IS THEIR CONSTANT HARASSMENT IN FOLLOW-UP PHONE CALLS. I HAD THE TREATMENT DONE 2 YEARS AGO, AND I'M WRITING TODAY BECAUSE I JUST GOT HARASSED AGAIN AFTER TELLING THEM TO TAKE ME OFF THEIR LIST. THE PERSON WHO CALLED EVEN SAID ''YOU'VE PROBABLY BEEN CALLED BEFORE BUT..'' AND I TOLD HIM THAT I HAD ASKED TO BE TAKEN OFF THE LIST, TO WHICH HE SAID ''BUT WE'RE OFFERING A $30 SPECIAL..'' I CUT HIM OFF TO TELL HIM I WOULD FILE HARASSMENT CHARGES IF THEY CALLED AGIAN.

COMPARED TO ANOTHER LAWN CARE COMPANY, TRU GREEN CHEMLAWN IS BETTER!

I JUST STARTED USING THEM THIS YEAR AND I HAVE SEEN AN IMPROVEMENT IN MY LAWN. THEIR COST WAS LESS THAN OTHER ESTIMATES I RECEIVED. THEY ALWAYS DO THE APPLICATION DURING THE DAY, OF COURSE, SO I NEVER SEE THEM.
