They were great at first good representation great reviews online mostly Google, their job manager did not pay close attention to job detail unless they were trying to explain why there work didn't look right. Also filing paper work in office seem very poor or very low effort applied. In short I'm not happy with to customer service and the constant excuse on how my roof was so much different from all the other roofs the replaced. Please look at all reviews good and bad before making your decision. This is not a forum, this is my opinion from what I experienced with this company.

tl;dr - Mr. Roof will abandon you as a customer, do poor work, not honor any credit you might receive for damage, and threaten you with collections, even if you pay. Overall, terrible follow up, and worse customer service. Full review: The gutter installers were mostly fine, but they did damage my property, and they had to rehang a section of gutter due to poor pitch. Decent guys, but not good work. The real problems with Mr. Roof are in the office. I will never do business with this company again. Due to the damage the installers caused, the project manager, Doug agreed to a $50 credit on my invoice. The credit was not issued, and Mr. Roof started threatening to place a lien on my property and send my account to collection - despite that they did not honor the credit, and did not invoice for the agreed upon amount. How is a customer supposed to pay if the amount Mr. Roof is invoicing for is not correct? Here's a timeline of the events on my account: 06/12/2020 Pre sales consultation, and 50% down payment. 2-3 weeks promised. 07/06/2020 I contact Cincinnati office to try and schedule the work, call back is promised 07/13/2020 I contact Cincinnati office again trying to schedule the job, again a call back is promised 07/14/2020 Mr Roof contacts me, and schedules the gutters to be installed on 07/22/2020. 07/22/2020 Gutters installed, my property is damaged 07/23/2020 Moderate rain, I've lived in Cincinnati all my life, and this is a normal summer rain (video included below). But the gutters are overflowing! They're one day old, how is this even possible? Well, the gutters were installed with no, and in some places, negative pitch, so they weren't draining toward the downspout. In one area, the fascia was pulled away from the roof. So I took video of the failing gutters, and my damaged property. 07/24/2020 @ 13:00 Project Manager Doug visits the property, reviews, and agrees a portion of the gutters need to be rehung, and a damaged light fixture credited. Agrees to rework and $50 invoice credit. 07/24/2020 @ 13:23 I sent via iMessage photos and video of the damage to my property (a broken light fixture and LED flood lights) and rework (poor pitch, causing flooding and fascia damage) to Doug. 07/24/2020 @14:15 I was emailed an invoice that did not reflect the $50 credit. Amount invoiced was $724.05. Project Consultant Song Hong was copied. I did not reply, nor remit payment at this time due to incorrect invoice. 07/30/2020 The same installers visit again, and rehang the gutters, refasten the fascia. I replace the light fixture and LED lamps out of my pocket. NO CONTACT FOR MONTHS - no emails, no letters, no phone calls, no texts, nothing until: 09/28/2020 Final demand letter is received by postal mail - STILL for the incorrect amount of $724.05 09/29/2020 @ 08:41 I call into Mr. Roof Cincinnati Office and ask to speak to Kelsey Lack, regarding the demand letter. I can't remember who I did speak to, it may have been McKenzie -- I asked her to speak with Doug and verify the $50 credit had been submitted. 09/29/2020 @ 08:51 I text Doug and asked him to verify the same 09/29/2020 @ 08:55 I call into the Cincinnati office again to verify the conversation between Doug and McKenzie had taken place, that my account was not being forwarded to collections, no lien was being placed on my property, and that an invoice for the correct amount was indeed being forwarded to me. I ask for a confirmation email after the call for my records. I get very positive feedback to that end - I'm going to get this invoice in a few minutes, I'm going to pay it, and we'll be done with this whole thing. Only I don't get an invoice for the correct amount - I don't get any invoice, I get no communication at all until: 10/06/2020 @ 17:32 Corporate office emails threatening to send my account to collections - but at least I finally have an invoice that shows the credit was applied.

Save yourself the headache- scheduled the appointment for them to come out it was in May- my roof is leaking, insurance job. No follow past the original appointment. The leak is worse. If this was me at my job blowing people off, I would be fired. I know there was a delay in getting with my insurance company but I keep getting told, Oh I'm sorry IT trouble, Oh sorry I'm busy... I am beyond disappointed in this company. If their work is as poor as their customer service than I saved myself a headache. BTW called again today for a manager and guess what no one is available.

We are very happy with our new roof. Our in-house consultant, Andrew Bedinghaus, was very responsive and clearly explained all the choices we had for our new roof. Kevin Morgan, the project manager, was onsite to get the roofing crew started and checked back several times including when the job was finished to make sure we were satisfied with all aspects of the roof. The roofing crew was very hard working (temperatures were over 90 degrees), polite, and cleaned up the job site extremely well. We have not yet seen a single nail that they did not pick up. The job took two full days.

Mr. Roof tacked water absorbing felt over damaged area for $400. This caused the plywood underneath to rot and need replaced. I disputed the Visa charge for the work. Instead of accepting the decision of Visa (which they are required to do under their Terms of Service), they rebilled me as "past due". PS, Their replacement quote was 25% higher than the company that ultimately was hired to do the work. They are insurance-job parasites. Confirm with your insurance company anything they tell you about insurance settlements.

tion for the damage they incurred? If this is the new style of business, I'm not sure I care for it very much. The "family owned" business is getting more and more attractive. The prospect of individuals popping in and doing a quick job for a bargain price at no thought to the damages and lack of courtesy to the adjoining properties is truly heartless and self-serving. I do not find this a desirable prospect for the future of homeowners. And what does this say about Angie's List? Does it make your existence a little bit impotent? I'm not looking to you for a pat on the head, but I would like an acknowledgement that you have received and read this opinion because I think it brings up some valid questions. Just how does Angie's List look at organizations like this? What do we as homeowners have as options? At this point, I have a hole left by a boulder I placed to discourage drivers from driving up on the curb and some grass to seed. My driveway is left with a very unattractive arrangement of rocks as close to the curb as possible which I'm reasonably sure some other stupid moron will try to mount with a truck they cannot drive. The world abounds with incompetents.
Description of Work: The provider worked on the house next door. It seems that Mr. Roof works solely with subcontractors who arrive in white panel trucks with no name on the side. (Oooooo clandestine!) When the "gutter men" drove their truck over the curb of my property crushing my drainage pipe and I asked if they knew anything about it, the man looked down and uttered a barely audible "no". I called Mr. Roof and they sent the job supervisor out. He did his best to placate me, but where and when are the "gutter men" held accountable? When do THEY provide compensa

On May 28, 2014, we received a call from the neighbor of the job where we were installing gutters, which is the person who posted this review. She stated she didn’t see anyone run into her yard and break her drain tile at the street but she asked our crew if they did and they responded with a no. We sent an inspector out to meet with her and inspect the area mentioned. What we did find upon inspection, and pointed out to the neighbor, was that it appeared that this area had been damaged sometime in the past as was apparent from the erosion and dirt around the placement of the rocks from past rains. We did offer to re-arrange the rocks around the drain to make it look better, which our inspector did. Her comment to him at the time was that it didn’t look very attractive but it would do. Mr Roof was excellent! I found them at the Home Show. I read about them on Angie's List and they were not as strong as I wanted, I talked to them in person and I had them out and it was excellent. They really did a great job. They got everything done in a day and you wouldn't even know they had been there. It cost seventy five hundred to replace the roof. They were conscientious, I would give them an 'A', throughout.

They have asked for me to provide them with proof of the service. I will fax it over, but they said that they probably will not be able to help me because the warranty never covers storm damage. I told them that no other houses around me suffered the same damage and that I suspect that the roofers used too much pressure with the nail guns and so the shingles were not secure.
Description of Work: Mr. Roof has no memory of putting on my roof 6 years ago and no longer has a local office in Indianapolis. They made an appt. to come to my home to assess the damage on my roof on Monday and today when I asked where the estimator was, they said that they have no record that they put my roof on and so will not be coming to my house.

We called Mr. Roof because we saw their tv ads saying they give free inspections, and because they had a decent rating on Angie's List. We needed some gutter repair work and a bit of soffit replacement. Plus we were starting to get some staining on the roof and wanted a quote on cleaning it. The first thing my husband noticed was that the guy was wearing loafers. How do you climb on a roof in loafers? Well, he didn't. The first thing out of his mouth was that he was '"saving us a lot of money by coming out himself, instead of sending a crew out."Then he told my husband he had already walked around the house before he knocked on the door (which is rude and kind of creepy). He then walked around with my husband and said we had a cheap roof which was improperly installed and that the staining was because the shingles were deteriorating. Then he took my husband across the street, telling him he needed to get the right angle. When he was happy with the angle, he said "see, the shingles are lifting up, the roof is shot." He said we would need the roof and gutters replaced and he'd send someone out to give us an estimate. What!?! We were 12 years into a high quality, 30-year dimensional shingle, which at the 'right angle' does sometimes cast shadows that make the roof look wavy. So after the guy left, my husband climbed up on the roof and found NO LIFTING SHINGLES. He couldn't even get a fingernail under the edges of the shingles. This roof was installed by an old school c*** of my husband's who has since retired from his 30-year old, very successful roofing company in an upscale part of the city. The roof had not been improperly installed--indeed, they had actually added vents and an attic fan during the last install to ensure better ventilation. We called our friend to make sure the shingles hadn't been recalled. He looked them up and said no recalls and told us that those shingles have never been a problem. He felt there was no way the roof was at the end of its life. So we decided to find another company, but seven days later a freak hailstorm destroyed thousands of roofs, siding and gutters throughout the area, including ours and all our neighbors. We hired one of the companies that came knocking on our door because they were already on our list to call, based on their excellent Angie's List rating plus the fact they were local, family owned for 30 years. The guy that came out was very polite and knowledgeable. He climbed up on the roof and took many photos. When I asked the fellow if the roof had been 'shot' prior to the hail damage or if it was improperly installed, he said absolutely not and showed us in the photos they took how the roof was fine except for the large dents from the hail, and he explained that the staining was from algae and fungus, not roof deterioration. We did tell the woman who later called from Mr. Roof about our bad experience. Maybe that and this post will protect others from wasting their money in the future.

I have a hard time finding that this posting is even true; seems like someone took advantage to post an Angies List posting after doing a project with another contractor and make us look bad at the same time. The entire story is so far out there. This person had us out to look at gutter and soffit, (we do not do roof cleaning) then had her roof destroyed by hail 6 days later, hired another company that knocked on her door but was already on her list to call because they were rated high on Angies List. This just sounds made up to me. We did no work for this person. Cheryl Cox, Marketing

I would not suggest Mr. Roof for any services - They worked quickly and had the roof I wanted installed quickly at a somewhat higher price than other quotes, but I thought I was paying for quality. It has been roughly two years since the service and I still find button head nails used to secure the tar paper in my mulch beds and occasionally stuck in the bottom of my shoes. I think more frustrating is the continued leaks and resulting brown spots in my ceilings. I've had Mr. Roof representatives out three separate times (ridge cover vent replaced, caulking where possible leak was and more caulking) and was told that they'd have someone repaint the ceilings where the worst of the staining is. Each time they came out they made allowing them in the home extremely inconvenient - only offering times during the middle of a work day which further magnifies the displeasure with their service. Now I still have the leak and have never heard back from them. I've simply given up on them being able to provide adequate customer service given the multiple attempts and lack of follow up.

Originally this leak was addressed back in the winter of 2011 after heavy snows accumulated on the roof in this particular area creating an ice dam. The snow was removed then from the area thus solving the problem to the customer’s satisfaction. Customer called in February 2014; a service tech was sent for an inspection and determined the issue to be an ice dam due to the elevated levels of snow and ice build up on the roof in this particular roof area, thus causing leaks from the continual freezing and thawing occurring which we have no control over. Note that this area does not leak under normal conditions with rain once excessive snow has melted away. Ray Lawrence, General Manager; Cheryl Cox, Marketing

The salesman, Song was fantastic throughout the process. The crew "appeared" to not speak English but I was informed by 2 personnel that they indeed did but didn't want "customers" knowing this as they only wanted to do the work and be done. First off during the tear-off, they did not remove the gutter covers first and torn the roof off with them in place scattering them everywhere. They were supposed to reattach the covers after the roof was installed. The contract stated that no shingles or nails were to be disposed of into the fenced area but into the front and sides only. After contacting the salesman regarding this as it was happening I was assured that it would be corrected and taken care of. Upon leaving I asked the crew to leave behind all unused materials as I had paid for them of which was a partial (almost whole sheet of plywood(s) and a bundle of shingles), the crew acted like they did not still understand what I was saying. Since I knew differently I refused to sign the check list of their work. They also had thrown my gutter covers into the dumpster and had to dig them back out. Needless to say they left without leaving any of my materials behind. Must be using them on another job. On 6/12/2013 The inspector, Todd showed up to inspect the roof. I had a company working in my garage and a personal electrician working inside my house when he showed up. I personally had just come inside after mowing, no air conditioning was on and all windows and doors were open for a breeze and I was in my living room where my electrician was working cooling off under the ceiling fan. Todd walked in the open door and saw us in the living room. Todd then asked me if I wanted to go on the roof to inspect it, this I did. After the inspection cleared and as Todd was leaving he told me "Don't sit there and watch someone working in your house, we don't like when people watch us work, I hate when old people watch me when I work." Then he left. I called that day and spoke with Gwen regarding my credit card number to give them for the balance and started to tell her what had happened, she asked me to speak with the Manager and tell him, which I did. He also had an attitude when I tried to tell him regarding the crew who replaced the roof and covered for them, UNTIL I preceded to explain what Todd had done/said. I explained that Todd had no business coming into my home telling me what to do in my own home. To which the Manager responded, "I don't know why he would make such a comment. I will speak to him about this." And then with a condescending voice told me, "If there is anything wrong I will personally come there to take care of it and I won't tell you what to do in your own home." Needless to say this was totally unprofessional with the exception of Song the salesman. I was charged the full amount but told by the Manager that "they always leave an extra bundle of shingles on each job" but I still have no materials and definitely would not do business with this company again due to the extreme unprofessionalism and lack of integrity they showed!
