Lakeview Garden Center and Landscaping

Jason understood what we wanted the yard to look like when the job was complete, and that's what it did look like! Back from the brink and lots more. His crew worked steadily over two days using wheel barrows to convey the gravel and mulch from the truck in our drive. They consulted with us and accepted feedback periodically insuring no surprises. Turned our yard into a park.

They were fine. I have not used them recently but I have used them in the past. They do a very good job. They clean up everything when they are finished and do not make a big mess or anything when they are doing their work.

They worked hard,yard all dug up. I was kind of concerned that all these blooming trees, bushes, now dominant would bloom. Bloom they did that spring. I spoke with the landscaper about a corrugated black drain from a gutter to sidewalk. He explained the necessity to protect the integrity of the house when landscaping. They wanted water from the gutter not to drain onto area landscaped, and by creating the drain they moved the water to the sidewalk. Was impressed. We had a problem with 2 decorative trees. One never seemed to bloom, the other, grew on slant. They replaced the tree that didn't bloom, and twice( the last being 2 years after they did the work) they replanted a decorative tree free. Each time they came out, they took a look at their job. I'll be honest, these guys are good, they know it---- when you invest your money with them you have the peace if mind they will stand behind it!!!!!

The work was excellent! No complaints. We are very happy with the results.

Delivered when we needed material, very cooperative and placed where I needed material to be.

They are in high demand because we had to wait until June so you need to call them. So I guess that should say something good about their work. We were very pleased they did a very professional job and did exactly what we asked them to and included somethings that initially they had not included in the bid so what we wanted done and they did it anyway which is great. They are highly knowledgeable and very professional in their work.

I go there pretty regularly. I think they're very helpful. They're not huge, they're small but they have everything you need. They help me out a lot. They are open when I need them.

They are excellent. They did a good job.

Last fall, I bought some golden mop chamaecyparises, sky pencil hollies, and some columnar barberries. They all had good color, showed no signs of stress, and were planted in good soil (not clay, as with some larger nurseries). I was slow to get some of them in the ground, but despite that, they fared well through the winter and are showing new growth. I want to add some upright and columnar gold shrubs this year, and I'll start (and probably end) my search at Lakeview.

They have done all of our landscaping for the past 18 years. I have never had a problem of any kind. I have caused a few plants to die, and they have even replaced them. We've shopped several other nurseries and I've never met anyone to perform like these people.

I was very pleased with their work. They did a good job and I would use them again.

About a week later, we received the quote. The detail of the quote totaled about 20 words. It was so general that I wonder if the gentleman even heard anything I said. It listed a few things that I mentioned and a price for the labor (very expensive for the few things they listed). It did not include the cost of the mulch, which we knew would cost quite a bit in addition to their quote. After getting another quote from another local Fairfield landscaping company and seeing the great detail and care that they took, we opted NOT to hire Lakeview.

They tried to pull a "bait and switch" tactic on me. On Sunday, May 21, 2006, I called before going there to see if they had two types of bushes I needed, and to ask them their prices. They said they had plenty of each and quoted prices. When I got there, they had one of the types, but said they were out of the other and I could buy a different size for a higher price. I talked to the woman who I spoke to on the phone, and she said she didn't know they were out of them when I called. I had driven 10 miles to go there specifically because of what she told me on the phone. I asked to be given the different size at the same price. She and the owner refused, and they became verbally abusive when I objected. I chose not to buy the disputed bush type, and as I was leaving, they told me to never come back, along with other insults that I can't print, right in front of other customers. They seem to have the whole customer/seller relationship completely reversed.
