Description of Work: Mower would run then shut off, could not figure out why.

Description of Work: I use Fairfield Power and Equipment Inc to repair my lawnmower.

Description of Work: Riding Lawn mower was routinely maintained, as well as receiving a new battery. Suggestion was made to purchase a battery tender because I have difficulty keeping the battery charged over the winter. Jim offered to "give me a class" on how to use the battery tender. The amount paid included pick-up/delivery.

Description of Work: I have a ten year old push lawnmower that had become unusable due to stalling out. They did an initial repair quickly (basically blowing out the fuel tank of debris and replacing a short fuel hose) and tested it at the shop where it ran fine. But, the mower failed once I brought it home. I brought it back and they quickly fixed it again, this time replacing the entire fuel tank with a used one for no charge. They also did some carburator work the second time; there was a minor charge of less than ten dollars for that. Now, my mower runs like it's brand new. I have used it at least seven or eight times with no problems at all. I had been using it for years without realizing how much power was lost due to a gummed up fuel system. Now it cuts tall grass without even slowing down - before it would have stalled out. I am grateful their work will enable me to use this mower for years to come. They also gave me good advice on how to winterize my mower and precautions to take using ethanol fuel. My only issues are secondary to the excellent way in which the mower was fixed. First, I was told the air filter was dirty and may need changing. When I brought it home the first time I saw it was still full of grass (even though I had put in a new filter this year) and no attempt had been made by them to clean it even though they have high pressure air which could easily blow it clean. Secondly, I had to bring it in twice, possibly a more thorough check-up the first time could've saved me an extra trip.

Description of Work: Services provided....repair of a riding lawn mower. Lawn mower had been stored in a shed for over a year. Had some gasket issues before being parked & wouldn't start at all, plus a mouse had built nest in it while it was stored. The riding mower was was picked up, fully serviced, promptly repaired, & returned.

Description of Work: He worked on my mower.

Description of Work: Replaced a bent blade, adjusted deck height, had the oil and filter replaced, put air in tires and they picked up and delivered.

Description of Work: They replaced the starter on my snowblower.

Description of Work: They cleaned and adjusted the carburetor on a chain saw.

Description of Work: My fairly new Toro push mower was smoking. I took it in and they said it would be a couple of weeks. The mower was ready in a week - much quicker than quoted. The price was a pleasant surprise also.

Description of Work: CHECKED RIDING LAWN MOWER FOR NOT STARTING AND FOUND BATTERY CABLES LOOSE ON SOLENOID AND STARTER, REPLACED BROKEN UPPER STEERING COLUMN BUSHING AND MISSING FASTENERS, AND LEVELED THE DECK.
