It took one week of intense labor but once completed, my basement no longer had a moldy smell. There has been no water leakage even in strong downpours. Also, the warranty is transferable!

The initial installation of my backup sump pump did not go well, in fact, I hated it. It was not installed the way we discussed and it had a small leak. After reading my reviews Everdry contacted me and wanted to "make things right". They sent two service managers out to my house and reinstalled the backup the way we had originally discussed. As of right now I am satisfied and if this was done originally I would have given an "A".

I tried to call them after we had lived here for a few years because we had some issues and they were very unresponsive. They were horrible. We have a crack in the foundation wall and they wanted to charge $25 a year just to keep their warranty up. You had to pay them $25 a year. We were new home owners and that didn't sound right so we just let it slid. After 5 years of living here the crack concerned us more and more. I called them just to come out and look at it and the guy told me that we were no longer under there warranty plan. I just wanted them to come out, not under the warranty thing, just to look at it. Since they had put it in place, I thought they would be the best people to service it or give me any kind of advice or even hire them to do another service on it and he (just only him) just wouldn't send anybody. I called two, maybe even 3 times and got him each time. He didn't send anyone to even come and look at the job.

We decided to go with Ever Dry strictly based on their reputation and all of the wonderful feedback that we've heard. They often have wonderful reviews. To us it was a no brainer. We have been sadly disappointed and are beside ourselves at this point. It began when we scheduled them to come out for an estimate. Initially they did not show up. When we called to find out why, they blamed it on us stating that they left us messages and we never confirmed. We did not receive any messages from them. (we checked and they had the correct numbers on file) We received no apology. They were out to do the job in late April. The staff were all very friendly, however when the job was done, our home was a mess. They left their trash laying around our home and yard. They did not attach the window well to the outside wall. Where they had removed our old sump, they left plastic and very uneven seems visible. There was a layer of dirt left on the basement floor, in our kitchen, and other areas of our home. One worker cut his hand (which I feel very badly about, however we were left to clean up blood in our home and on our driveway/garage. We were very happy at the time to have a water proofed basement so we figured we would let stuff slide. The initial crack in the foundation is the only thing that has actually been fixed, which I am happy to say. Sadly the entire out foundation has had standing water on it since they "water proofed". We called in and had somebody come out to address our concerns. This person showed up at the wrong home, called my spouse and was very rude as nobody was home. After they were able to make thier way to our home he only documented about 1/4 of our concerns. I felt as though he discredited many of our concerns and did not seem to be concerned that we had water seeping up through the seems and standing water in the concerns after the rain(which was a new issue for us). We then began to notice water flooding our side yard from where the sump pump discharges. When we dug up this area to see what the issue it was, we found that coupler that they used to attach the sump to the existing pipes was too large, causing free flowing water anytime the sump would discharge. We had a second person come out to take down our concerns at a later time. This employee seemed very nice and understanding and did appear to document our concerns. In the meantime, we now have visible thick mold growing in our basement. This again is a new issue. We are having to get rid of personal items due to this mold. Earlier this week, the repair team came out. They did not have paperwork reflecting what our concerns had been, therefore did not have the appropriate supplies to address these issues. After showing up 1 1/2 hours outside the projected window, they were very apologetic. They were very professional and the only employees who actually appeared to care about the problems we have. They were able to identify our concerns and some other issues that we had not even been aware of. They were able to redo a very small part of the concrete in the basement. Upon opening the floor in that area (which was slopped down in the wrong direction, they identified that the corrugated pipe in the floor was not even placed in the correct place). They were also able to repair the outside portion where the sump connects to the pipe. However they felt that it was likely that the entire portion of the basement would have to be redone. They believed that this would be an all day repair. And sadly they did not believe that they would be able to come out for another 2 months. We have been in touch with their service department multiple times. Often we do not get return calls and do not feel that we are being taken seriously. If you are looking into water proofing your basement, please, please, please do your research. This has caused more issues then we started with and no we are having to wait months to get things repaired. I am disgusted by the idea that we have visible mold growing in our basement and that our concerns do not seem to be taken seriously. I do hope that we can get our issues resolved. But please, do your research first. I do not wish this experience on anybody.

Buying a house that was waterproofed by this company - sort of. There is still a leak, still standing water, and they said it'll be a couple weeks before they can get out to fix the work. The owner spent roughly $30k, and oh, there is high mold. So we can't fix the mold until the waterproof is fixed, can't close until it's safe, and do not have a backup space to stay in. Our realtor advised against using them, our inspector did as well, and unfortunately the owner didn't get warned. For $30,000, you'd kind of expect better work. By the way, their vacuum air system thing is pointless. Even pollen is higher in the house than outside by over 10x...
Description of Work: $30,000, standing water still, mold, and a wait to correct the issue... *** I'm leaving the date services performed as today because I don't know the exact date. Our inspector said it couldn't have been more than 6 months ago ***

Twenty five years ago we had a wet basement every time there was an extensive rainfall. Water poured in through a crack in an outside wall. It was ruining our finished basement. Ever since EverDry performed the work we have had a totally dry basement and this has been true for the past twenty five years. We are very pleased with their work and the outcome. PR- Amelia

We purchased our home in January, 1993. The prior owner had Everdry waterproof the basement. This came with a lifetime transferable warranty. We maintain this warranty for only 25.00 per year. It is transferrable when we sell our home. Last year Everdry came to repair a crack in our basement wall and also patched along the outside of the front of our home. In years past they've come out to repair or replace our sump pump as needed for no additional charge. The office people have been friendly and courteous as well as the workers. Response has been very prompt and workers always showed up on time as scheduled.

Below is the letter sent to corporate after the 5th crew attempted to fix the initial work of the 1st crew. We sent the letters certified mail and both were received on 4/22/2014. It is May 5th and we have not heard from anyone. Maybe this company is too big. To whom it may concern, This is a courtesy communication to ensure you are aware of our experience with your company. Out of concern for other unsuspecting consumers, we will be sending a recap of our experience to your corporate headquarters, the Better Business Bureau, Facebook and putting our evaluation on Angie?s List. We had done our research and were aware of your company?s A #1 reputation. That is why we chose EverDry. Unfortunately what we have experienced is nothing short of disastrous. My name is Jim and my wife is Suzie. We are finally, we pray, at the end of this dreadful saga. We are sending a recap to you. You may do with it what you wish. Short overview: The salesman had told us three- to four days for our job. I had mentioned we may replace the carpet. But I was told if I changed my mind, the crew would put the carpet back in place at the end of the job. Jan 2, 2014 Crew arrived. We were told on the first morning by the foreman we had done a great job readying the house for the crew. The foreman told me our house was a two day job. The job actually took three days- Issue was we have a monolithic foundation. EverDry has worked in our area before. This should not have been a surprise. We suspect the job was done in a hurry, hence the deplorable workmanship. Damage to our house during the job: ? Oil line crimped and leaking- needed service call to fix ? Water softener needed to be serviced-damaged during trenching ? Drywall ripped instead of cut causing damage to existing drywall? we paid someone to fix that as well ? Odd containment built around water heater and filled with rocks- - we think the crew was too lazy to take all the rocks out, so built the strange rock garden ? Unacceptable clean up job, at best ? Used our $4000 elliptical machine to pin back the carpet We were told the carpet would be put back if we decided not to replace at that time. When foreman told it would be 6-8 weeks for curing, we were shocked. Not told that by salesman. The foreman stated he always had to deliver the bad news to the customer. We actually had to cut up all the carpet and remove. Forman told us he would call to get back in and move the laundry tub back to original spot ? No call ? An entire wall forgotten- yes, an entire wall not done ? we second guessed ourselves- but found our paperwork from the salesman and yes, missed an entire wall. We, in good faith and encouraged by the good reputation of your company, handed over a $10,000 check. We had already paid the down payment. A letter was solicited from us prior to actually noticing the shoddy work and tricks. Shame on us. We called EverDry about issues. A second person came out to view the job Second crew Moved the tub back to original position. He encouraged me to contact a supervisor to see the extent of the poor quality workmanship on this job. 1/21 The supervisor , Jason, came out and wrote an order to finally finish the work and repair drywall- and remove the rock garden. At this time, Jason told us he would extend our service warranty by two additional years. We had to request this several times and the letter was finally mailed to us on 3/25. Third crew Foreman argued with me as to how much of the ?missed? wall he had to fix- I had asked him to contact Jason for clarification. He then left at lunch. Did not come back! Drywall crew with this third crew is ill behaved and used the most unprofessional, foul, vulgar language I have ever experienced from a provider. It went on all day. I had to go downstairs a few times because I thought they were coming to blows! I called EverDry trying to locate the foreman. Foreman was sent back at 4:30 that day to discuss why he had left and did not return to finish the job. I spoke to him about the drywall crew?s behavior. He agreed with me and apologized about their behavior and language. He mentioned they were getting on his nerves as well. Are you shaking your head yet?? I called EveryDry?s office again with the expectation of having the job completed. Fourth crew Best crew yet. Fixes the entire ?missed ? wall. The foreman said he would talk to the owner about all the issues we endured. He said I would most likely receive a call from the owner and possibly receive a portion of our $12,000 back. To date, no call from the owner or anyone to discuss our issues. 2/21- We have moisture in basement. 2/21 ? Called- spoke to Herb. He requested photos and said someone would call us to come out and view the areas. We sent photos of the wicking moisture to Herb via email on 2/21. Herb mentioned he could not get anyone to come until February 28th . We never hear from anyone. Again, no call. We have to initiate yet another communication with EverDry. We are told Herb is on vacation. We are told it will be 3/7 before anyone can come out. This is the most bizarre business practice I have ever encountered. 3/7- Herb came out. List of work to be done: Trenching by fireplace needed to have a wrap around 6-8?. This should have been done in initial January job. They would re-trench by the steps to square it- should have been done with the initial job. Area around E-Z Breathe machine was not curing. The January crew had left the white sheeting under the machine. Fifth Crew? hopefully this was the final crew ? came on 3/25 The crew did all of the above. Now- we are once again at a 6-8 week curing time- not to mention we have no faith there will be an end to this debacle. We were told by this crew that our experience is not uncommon. (This can?t be true.) 4/1- I went into the crawl space ? (could not get in there earlier as I had just had knee surgery) When we were having our drywall repaired, I had noticed the drainage pipe was elevated. One of your crews hadnot disposed of the concrete debris from trenching, and had thrown the heavy pieces into the crawlspace and on top of the existing drainage pipe. We still don?t understand why there were pieces thrown underneath the pipe. But there were so many times the actions of the numerous crews defied logic. At no time has anyone in your company looked at this as a priority. We continued to have to wait, have had to instigate almost every communication. We are incredulous at this point. We have absolutely no faith that we can put in flooring or carpet and not risk damage with quality of this job. None of this is taking into consideration how often we have had to leave the office or stay home to accommodate your schedules. And it is sadly not an entire list of the issues and efforts on our part to chase down a satisfactory solution. Update- 4/7/2014 I just noticed a wet, wicking area to the left of my fireplace. This area was finished in the January 2nd job. I will be calling EverDry in the morning. This is unbelievable. 4/8- Called EverDry and spoke to Ken. Explained we once again have wicking. Ken said he would get with Herb and call back with a date for repair. He said there was no reason for anyone to come out and check the area wicking since Herb had already seen the previous 3/7 issue. 4/11- still no call from EverDry. I initiate communication once again. Ken said he was just getting ready to call me. Of course this comment has no merit. Ken said the crew would be here between 9am and 11am on Monday, April 14, 2014. I stayed home from the office again to be here while the crew finally finished our job which began January 2, 2014. ( Because of the absolutely base behavior of one of your past crews, I can not expose my wife to EverDry employees.) Around 9:30 am, Norm arrives. No crew. Norm is going to inspect the area. I am nonplussed. This must be a nightmare. Norm seems blindsided by the entire scenario. I am not sure why communication has experienced a total breakdown on this job. According to Norm, this Saturday, April 19, will be the day the most recent malfunction will be corrected. We are currently waiting for Sixth crew. Crew Six- does the other side of the fireplace. Work done on 4/19. Once again we are 6-8 weeks out from flooring. In closing, we did our research. We spoke to people, joined Angie?s list, checked social media. All we can surmise from the feckless approach to our job and the preposterous amount of mistakes and missteps is your company may once have been A#1. It is quite obvious, that is no longer the case.

It went well. They carried bucket after bucket of busted concrete and dirt up the stairs and outside to a truck. In this process they did not leave a messy trail. Here we are 17 years later and have never had water in the basement except once when the sump pump failed; even then it was minor compared to before the fix. They replaced the sump pump at no charge with excellent results.

When we bought our 100 year old house, the previous owners misled us on the property disclosure, claiming that there was a "small trickle" of water from one corner of the basement during a heavy rain. We had no idea that we had been duped because we bought the house during a drought. The following very wet spring, what we actually had was a steady stream of water flowing through the basement. We contacted Everdry in hopes that they could improve the condition of our basement, but we never really expected to have a completely dry basement. Now we are making plans to finish our basement and greatly expend the living space in our home! The initial work was very messy, both inside and outside of the home. The crew did their best to minimize the mess in the rest of the home, but dust did escape. We did have to have Everdry return to fix issues after the initial project was complete, but they were always quick to respond and throrough in their work. Look at this project as an investment in your home. Everdry does quality work and stands behind whet they do. They will keep coming back until you are satisfied!

They got the job done quickly. It's a very messy process. We had concrete dots all over everything. We had to wait for the concrete to settle before we would put things away. It's a struggle but they seemed to know what they were doing. I got a lifetime warranty for their work.
Description of Work: The only recent experience we've had has been with Everdry Waterproofing of Cincinnati. They had to dig around the outside perimeter of the home and also they have to make a channel all the way around the exterior walls of the basement. That included breaking up the concrete. Everything has to be moved to the center basement. They chopped out the 10-inch channel all the way around the exterior walls. They put piping in it and gravel. They ran any potential water that may be seeping through the foundation into the sump pump.

So far we have been very pleased with the work Everdry did in our basement. When we called we were standing in water and experiencing a significant mold problem. Since their work was completed, our basement has been bone dry. The air purifier they installed removed the damp and moldy odor right away. Our foreman and crew were efficient and respectful. They got the job done in less time than they had estimated. We had one complication with our sump pump since its installation, and Everdry responded quickly and fixed the problem. As they informed us, instead of flooding the basement, the water all left the house through an overflow pipe until the repair was complete. It has been less than a year since we had the work done, but at this point we can attest that we are satisfied customers.

First off, the price tag was shocking, but we had endured years of water leakage in the basement at all four walls which required moving items, furniture etc when heavy rains and spring snow melt occurred. We also had mold and wall cracks as well. A friend had similar problems and her walls had begun to buckle. We needed a permanent fix and she recommended Ever-Dry. In retrospect, the project went off well considering the scope of the work needed. The outside trench was dug by hand without disturbing the foundation plantings. No heavy equipment to tear up the yard. Soil was saved for back fill. In the basement, everything was moved to the center and encased in plastic to protect from the dust. Of course there was noise when the floor was excavated. Debris was removed in buckets by hard working young men who protected their path outside with tarps. The entire project took about four days. We now have carpeting in the basement. The sump pump does its job The quiet E-Z Breathe system comes on automatically to keep air moving so there has been no mold in the five years we have had the system. We have had one service call for a malfunctioning sump pump. It was replaced within two days. We now have peace of mind and a dry basement.
Description of Work: Hand excavated a trench around the house. Repaired wall cracks as needed even below the trench. Applied waterproof mastic to walls and applied heavy duty plastic to mastic to form a J-channel. Put in gravel and new drain tile in the j-channel and back filled trench. In the basement repaired wall cracks with pressurized sealant. Excavated a trench around basement and installed a sub-floor drainage system to sump.. Dug sump and installed sump pump for drainage to outside pop-up drain. Connected battery back-up to sump pump. Back filled trench and replaced concrete. Installed E-Z Breathe ventilation system.

They waterproofed our basement. They were very professional and cleaned up any messes they made. We didn't have any trouble for over 10 years. We paid the $35 fee annually. When we did have some seepage some 12 years later, they came out and checked out the problem. They then determined where the leak was and set up a time to fix it. They fixed the problem and did some additional preventative work at no charge due to the service warranty agreement. J.C. Cincinnati

They provided excellent explanation of problem and proposed solution with options. Pricing was competitive with other estimates. They had the most comprehensive solution. All work was performed on time, very professionally with complete clean-up. Additional outside drainage and foundation wall issues were identified and also corrected. Drainage pumps with battery back-up and air handler were also installed. No subsequent problems. Very good warranty a big plus. AAG Cincinnati, OH

Just understand before you have these guys come out that whatever your problem is, they have ONE solution that they want you to buy. This is by far the biggest sales pitch (i mean, even down to the "but if you act now, we'll knock off 10%"). I have no doubt that their patented system is a high quality waterproofing system and it does it's job, the question is...is that what you really need and should be dropping thousands of dollars for? This is something they don't even consider. It's a 1 stop shop for their one solution. Do your research beforehand. If you think you want their patented solution and that's what you need, then go for it. If you are just looking for some advice on what your water problem is and several options for fixing, go with someone else (plus, all others are definitely much more affordable). One more thing - don't buy the "you have mold" bit just because they stick a swab in your air vent. If you are concerned about mold, get a professional mold service to test your home.
Description of Work: EverDry came out and just gave us an inspection and estimate for waterproofing our basement and crawl space. We had water issues in the crawl space and needed advice on what we needed to do.
