Not as well as I would have liked. I purchased this service for My Son's Condo as a Xmas gift. Brian showed up on Time for the resurfacing work and did a nice job. He was rescheduled to come back 3 days later (Dec 31st) to caulk around the tub. Which was an extra cost of $35.00. He did not show up nor did he call. I called and left a message that day and no response and I left a text message on Jan 1. Brian did respond later that day 1/1/17 . Apologizing. I said No problem he rescheduled for Jan 2, he did arrive on time. A week or so later the caulking around the tub started peeling off. I left a voicemail and no return call. I sent a text on 1/16/17 no response. I called 1/21/17 left a VM. Brian called back on 1/17/17 to inform me the caulking was not under warranty. I will need to have someone else do the work or my son do it himself. I told Brian at no time did HE EVER SAY THE CAULKING WORK WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY NOR DID HE SAID HE DOESNT LIKE DOING IT. He knows he never said that and he replied with QUOTE "this is why I don't like doing the Caulking." Future advise: DO NOT SELL THE CAULKING PART OF YOUR JOB IF YOU DONT WARRANTY IT AND YOU DONT LIKE DOING IT. I am out $35, its not the money its the principle around this. My son's Xmas present just turned bad over $35 and lack of communication on Brian's part. BEWARE - do not let Brian do the Caulking part of your job if you hire him. If I would not have had these issues I would have given Carefree Coatings a A. Lack of communication and response time is unacceptable. Sincerely Unsatisfied Customer.

I am extremely happy with the job that he did. The tub looks great. I had unusual circumstances and a short timeline that I needed the work performed and he was able to work within my schedule to accommodate. I will definitely recommend him to others and will hire him again if the need arises. He was a young guy that works hard and takes pride in his work. Good to see.

Hard for me to put into words how pleased we are with the finished job, I wished we had done this years ago. Chuck's attention to detail is second to none. This was a much cleaner project than what I had expected. The 80+ year old cast iron tub looks brand new since he took the time to fill in small cracks and chips before the re-glazing. The two fiberglass units were old with no finish left and would soil easily, now they look brand new. I would recommend this process to anyone that would like to clean up an older looking bathroom.

The finish was terrible. There were runs and drips all over.

Chuck Pitzer, owner of Carefree Koatings, did an excellent job. I don't think the tubs looked as good when they were new. Chuck has done a lot of tub reglazing for me over the years. The work has included reglazing my own personal bath tubs and sinks to reglazing bath tubs and sinks in rental properties. The repairs to bath tubs and sinks in most cases are undetectable.I always say "If the tub guy can't fix it, replace it!". A limited warranty is provided as well as instructions on how to care for your newly reglazed surfaces. Call the tub guy today, you will be glad you did. When he says that under normal conditions the reglazed surface can last for years he is correct. I had a bath tub in my own home reglazed 10 years ago and it looks almost as good as the day it was reglazed. I honestly can't say enough good things about the product and professional service the tub guy provides. It's a first class professional act from estimate to finish. |guy provides.

Our bone double sink probably is about 10 years old. When we bought the house five years ago, the sink was chipped and stained. Nothing made it look better. Getting ready to sell the home, we knew we had to do something. Replacing the sink was out of the question as it is undermounted and surrounded by beautiful granite in perfect shape. Chuck Pitzer did an outstanding job making the two sinks look brand new again. But he was honest: there was a great likelihood this is a rather temporary fix. He suggested we buy sink liners. Even though we did that and were careful to gently set dishes and silverware in the sinks instead of slam them down, there are perhaps four tiny permanent noticeable scratches. But the sinks still look WAY better after Chuck's work than before. Thanks, Chuck!

After it was done, we noticed a ring around the bottom of the tub. We tried using the recommended cleaning supplies in order to get it off as it looks dirty, but this cleaning did not do anything. He didn't even want to come out to look at it until he was in my area. He claimed it was just the surface of the tub as it was old. He was very unsympathetic. I've had the tub coated before and this did not happen at that time. It looked so much better then. It has a five-year warranty and I asked him if it would ever look different and he said no. The only advice he offered was that we should clean the tub after each bath. I am not pleased with his lack of personality and compassion. I just want my tub to look nice.

The overall process was simple. Everything was removed from the room (by us) before he began. The work only spilled over into the house to accomodate the ventilation equipment. He was very professional and polite.The work looked great when he left but after a couple of hours I noticed some dripping. At first I thought it was just in a few spots but after looking more closely I noticed quite a few more areas. I was able to contact him by the end of the day and he agreed to come back by the end of the month to fix it. He was able to come back a bit sooner and repaired many of the drips.Overall the bathroom looks great but if you look more closely there are still some visible drips. I liked him and found him to be professional. I am dissappointed about the dripping . I don't know if this is common in reglazing but I don't think I would do it again unless I could be assured of little or no dripping.

After a thorough q&a over the phone, Chuck provided an estimated cost range that ended up being right on with the final cost. He came back a few days later (after the glazing had cured) and re-caulked the joint between the tile walls and the newly re-glazed tub. Chuck was very prompt and all-business. Would definitely recommend.

I contracted Carefree because the price was great. I had received other estimates, but by far Carefree was the best. The worker was very honest. He explained to me that he could only guarantee the bathtub for so long but the sink was only guaranteed for 1 year. He gave me a pretty straight answer when it came to a guarantee. Other companies was much more expensive and they guaranteed the sink for much longer. The work came out beautifully, really nice. It looks like a new tub. He truly did a wonderful job. I also like that he was on time, unlike other companies. The worker said he would arrive at 8:00 and he actually arrived a few minutes before. He was very careful going in and out of the front door because of my 4 dogs. He was sure not to let them out. The only downfall about the situation was the time frame. It wasn't the workers fault, it was just the actual time to complete the work. It took all day, but it was well worth it. After the job was complete he even gave me a pamphlet on the proper things to use to clean my tub.

It was great. They were timely and they came when they said they were going to come. It was really hot that day and the finish bubbled up, so they came back right away and fixed. It's perfect even after a year.

Chuck did an excellent job. Carefree Koatings was recommended by my plumber, whom I'm sure has had the opportunity to observe the completed jobs of many different companies. Chuck was always punctual and responded quickly to all my telephone calls.

Chuck was on time, worked quickly, and cleaned up after himself. The repair looks great. The glaze did "run" down the pedestal.

THE MILDEW IN THE GROUT COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED AND CLEAN UP WITH "SOFT SCRUB" IS A BREEZE. NO SCOURING AND BACK BREAKING SCRUBBING!

Chuck was on-time (starts very early in am). Very professional, kept to himself & did the job efficiently. Took around 4 hours to strip & reglaze the tub. Gave written info on tub maintenance. Would recommend using Comet liquid cleaner (no bleach). It's the best cleaner, I've tried so far. I clean the tub once a week and only takes a few minutes. Would recommend Chuck to anyone. Called for appt, which was scheduled 2 months later. Chuck stays pretty booked up. It was worth the wait. Thought the service was overpriced compared to some, but my last job was cheap & had bad results. If the paint holds up, then it's worth the price. Better to have higher price once, than pay twice like I did.

The transformation was incredible! They were very professional, right on time, and finished the job in only two days. I called them for a few slight touch ups and they were back the next day.

He came on time for the initial estimate, cleaning, & final spraying. The coating looks perfect & to date still has no imperfections.
