We had a full tear off and replacement of our asphalt shingle roof completed in one day. The quality of materials used and labor was excellent. Service was responsive and professional from the sale (Ray) to the scheduling (Ashley) to the post-construction inspection and close out (Jess). We are very happy with our new roof and would recommend Avsten to anyone needing these services in the area.

The roofing team was prompt & efficient. The team returned the second day to clean – up discarded roofing packaging & materials.

Recommended full roof replacement and then dealt with our insurance company through the appraisal process which took several months.Process were fantastic they were helpful and knowledgeable and insured we understood the insurance appraisal process and overall our roofing needs. I would definitely hire them again.

Overall, it was a good experience. There were a few cosmetic / finishing issues but they come back out and fix everything until we're satisfied.

Avsten came to our home after a storm in April of this year. They said that we likely had storm damage to our roof. They inspected the roof free of charge and said that they recommended we put in a claim to our home insurance company. We did. In the meantime we asked several neighbors about the work Avsten had done in replacing their roofs. All seemed pleased with their new roofs. The insurance company's adjuster came out and confirmed that there was significant storm damage and our roof needed to be replaced. We got our first check from insurance and Avsten got started on the roof. It only took 1 day for the subcontractors to complete the entire roof of our 2200 sq ft. ranch home. They were all Mexicans who didn't speak any English but I am totally ok with that because they did a great job! Everything went smoothly with Avsten except when it came time to get the second check from our insurance company. For some reason the insurance company was delayed in getting them the check. During this time I got frequent texts asking about the 2nd check. I got a call from the owner of Avsten who didn't sound too happy about the situation and sort of was testy with me about it. In no exact words, it sounded like I was going to have to pay the remaining $3000 if my insurance company didn't pay up. This is not at all what I was told by Avsten before starting the project. I was told that if the insurance company didn't pay they would "have to eat up the cost." It turns out my claims rep with insurance simply hadn't receive the completion certificate apparently because it was being faxed to the wrong person! This is the only reason why I give Avsten them a B instead of an A. Otherwise, Andrew and the rest of the crew was professional. The subcontractors did a great job. I would recommend them to a friend or neighbor.

Andrew was exceptional to work with! Crew withstood heat and humidity amazingly well. Very impressed with clean up! Chad and Donovan completed replacement of shutter and reviewed paperwork.

This was for an estimate at an investment property, which is located 50 miles round trip from my home. The provider never showed up and never cancelled/rescheduled the appointment. I called the company, while still waiting for the provider at the property, and was told that the rep had a medical emergency. I completely understand that this unfortunately can happen, however, my concern is that the company never called me to reschedule and the owner was not even aware that his rep had an appointment. The owner assured me that he would personally call me back that same day to schedule a new appointment (or have someone else call me), but I never got a call. I understand this was an unusual situation, but it's now been 10 days and still no call. Neither from the rep nor the owner of the company.

Avsten was amazing! They were extremely prompt, efficient, helpful and hones. Our roof was done in 2 days. I've never worked with contractors who were so on top of their game.

Donovan and his team were professional and addressed my needs timely and accurately. I was very impressed with this company and plan on using them for a major job in the near future.

This was one of the most unprofessional companies that I have ever worked with. They tell you one thing and do another. I was very happy with the repairs that were completed on the inside of the house but it was someone they sub-contracted to perform that work. They messed up our dish for direct tv when they were putting the roof on and charged my insurance company for money that WE paid out of pocket to correct the problem. I would call that FRAUD! I became aware that companies can pay extra money to be given a certain grade on Angie's list. I would NEVER use this company again or recommend this company to anyone because of everything I went through when trying to get the repairs completed on our house!

*Update: On January 3, 2015, they came back to repair the poor work they had previously done. The day had a high of 58 degrees and low of 16 degrees with rain in the forecast. They were planning on sealing the wood then and putting it up. I told them no as the sealer requires warmer temperatures and no rain. I asked them to leave and told them I would fix it myself. It took me roughly 6 hours to undo their work on the railing and replace it. It would have been a much easier job if I had just repaired it myself. Over a year later, I have finally finished undoing all the damage they have done. The railing, shingles and screen are repaired or replaced. I could have saved myself a lot of time, effort and money by going with another contractor.

Bought this deal for minor roof repair like the advertisment stated; had a few shingles that were lifting up. They didn't fix any of the lifting shingles, just added some caulk to some flashing. The whole purpose of the visit seemed to be to find evidence of storm damage in order to try to get an insurance claim for a new roof. I guess you get what you pay for.

Great company t work with. From the get go our salesman (Andrew) was awesome. Kept us informed every step of the way worked with me on my crazy work schedule drive out of his way several times. Worked great with my insurance company.

Jake, an employee of Avsten was out inspecting roofs for storm damage, and he offered to inspect ours. He didn't do any actual work, but the fact that he told me that my roof had no troubles, and didn't try to get me to purchase unneeded services is amazing!

The guys were young, but that did not affect the quality of work done or their knowledge. Two men came and met with me at my house the week before the roof was to be done to discuss price, shingle color and style. Then they came back and took off the old shingles (and the black stuff underneath) and put new ones on. They had good recommendations as for shingle color and vent color that would go with the house color. They crew was quick and seemed to do good work. Clean up was also quick, although we have found a handful of nails in the yard- I am sure this expected as things do get missed. With the service just being performed I will have to wait to write about the extended quality of the roof. No problems thus far. The only 'con' I saw was that the guys were usually late, which was not a big deal as I blocked out time to meet up with them, and it was never too late around 30 minutes. Good hard workers, seemed honest. I would use again.
