Description of Work: We called Pelfrey’s Roofing Inc to come out when we had hail damage but they only would do the roof and not the siding, so we went with another contractor. They did not give us an estimate.

Description of Work: We discovered that we had a leak somewhere in the chimney.It was noticed when our son opened the folding door to the attic, water had been running down the chimney and onto the ceiling aparently for a while. We checked the telephone directory but I told my neighbor, Max, and she said that they had the same problem it was in the flashing. She immediately said call Pelfrey Roofing, we had them 3 or 4 years ago. I did, and am I glad. They sent a gentlemen named DAN out within a day. He examined the flashing and told us it was indeed in need of replacement. He told us exactly what he would do and he even suggested installing rubber colloars on the existing plumbing pipes where they used to do it the old way. This would prevent future leaks. Since they are also Roofers, he inspected our roof without our asking and to our surprise did not tell us it was in bad shape and we needed a new roof which many people would have done. This gave us peace of mind. I called other companies even though we knew we would stay with Pelfrey Roofing and Dan. It was very interesting and solidified our decision. One man came out, and gave us an estimate including some brick work. He told us around $800.00, said his father would get back with us in the afternoon with a complete estimate. I waited and called but he said it would take two or three days but would be closer to $1800.00 or more. I never could get a written estimate which Pelfrey mailed immediately fully describing the work and the time for work. The other company said they could not give me a time frame due to weather and other elements. They did want a signed proposal from us if they did the work though. Always check BBB.org and get a grade but don't completely rely on it. The other company had an A+ rating but these are only based on any complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau and you don't know the problems or the circumstances like you can get on Angie's List. Dan from Pelfrey's completed our work today, did a great job, even took pictures of the problems and the completed work since my husband and I cannot get on the roof, only see the chimney from the ground. He left everything so neat and clean you would not know he had been here. He did not do a hurry up sloppy job either. The temperature hit almost 90 today but he worked diligently from around 9:00 AM until after 4:00 PM only taking a brief time for a lunch break. I have to call my neighbor now and Thank Her! If not for her, we would surely have been upset, still waiting and probably taken advantage of. I would not hesitate to refer this company and Dan to anyone. I am sending an e mail to my son and I am telling all my friends even if they don't need work now. THANK YOU DAN AND PELFREY ROOFING.

Description of Work: Roof inspection before purchasing a house. I question whether the roofer actually got out of the truck when he did his ''inspection.'' This is one of many roofers that should be avoided like the plague.

Description of Work: Install gutters and downspouts with leaf relief on house and garage.

Description of Work: THEY REPAIRED MY ROOF AND INSTALLED TWO NEW SKYLIGHTS.
