Maxim Roofing Company

It was OK. We still need to spend more money to replace the whole roof. The work they did was just temporary and they couldn't give a guarantee that it's OK. It was just a little help.

The house has a lot of cables and is almost a flat roof in places. It is a very difficult roof to work on. However, once the repairs were completed it was an excellent job. I was extremely pleased with the work. After he was finished he asked me to walk around the house with him to see if he had missed any. I didn't see any but he found one so he got his latter back out and fixed it. I was very pleased with the work. I have asked them to give me an estimate on a new roof which I may have them do next summer or when needed.

I am pleased with their roofing work. It was a pleasant experience since making the appointment, scheduling the work, doing the work, and billing/paying the bill.

I called Maxim to see if I could get someone to come out and give me a quote to replace a rotted section of fascia board at the corner of my house. I was concerned they might feel the job was too small and wouldn't want to deal with it. The lady I spoke with on the phone was very nice and said someone could come out within a few days to see what it would take to repair it. Since I work during the day, I described the location of the damaged spot so I wouldn't have to be there when he came out. Within a few days I received a call and a verbal quote to do the work, they followed up with a written quote. He explained they would have to drop the gutters and remove a couple sections of the damaged board, then they would re-hang the gutter with hidden hangers. I suggested that I buy the fascia board and paint it myself beforehand so they would not have to deal with that part of it. They said that would be fine. When I had the board ready, I called and they scheduled me in. They came out, did the work, and left. I looked great. I felt the price might be a little high, but in all fairness, the corner of the house is about two and a half stories up and the ground below is sloped and their is landscaping to work around, so I'm sure that added a fair amount of complication to the job. They did not damage any of the plants etc. around the area they were working, in fact if it hadn't been for the fact that the repair was done, I wouldn't have known they'd been there. Needless to say, I am very happy with the work they did and would use them again without any question.

I thought this review was posted about 6 months ago, something Must have happened to it so I am rewriting it. First off, this company had surpassed my expectations. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. We had storm damage and had never gone through a roof replacement before. Kevin explained the process in detail and provided similar experiences with family members and his suggested method of maximizing our roofing replacement budget while not necessarily increasing our initial estimate. I checked out his recommendations and they seemed to be spot on. This trust was hard to find with other roofers (and we interviewed 7 of them, both before and after Maxim Roofing. Roof looks great, they went above and beyond. Would definitely use again and will recommend to friends

Their professionalism was very good but we chose the other company because of price. They were prompt on their scheduled time. They were very professional. They seemed to be very good.

The crew arrived the first day to drop off materials and discussed the job and answered any questions and concerns . We discussed how to protect my landscaping ( trees and gardens around the house), and my copper roof that I have over a sunroom. The next day they arrived at 8am and started the job. They were very hard working, courteous and if I had any requests or concerns they were immediately attended to. It was an extremely messy job as the cedar shakes create a lot of debris and dust, but the crew cleaned up every night . Weather kept them from working one day, but they had the roof safely under cover before the rains hit. As I had a complete tear down, my attic was actually open to the elements for some time during the process of the new sub roofing being installed. This created a great deal of debris that landed in the attic. I had been previously advised of this , so I had covered the attic with plastic . I was very pleased that they cleaned all the debris and plastic out of the attic . I'm very pleased with my new roof, the workmanship and the crew's willingness to go the"extra mile" to protect my gardens. I would highly recommend Maxim Roofing company.

They came right away even though it was storming and i had called other companies that advised me it would be at least two weeks before they could come look? They are close to my home but they were genuine in my problem and getting it fixed as soon as possible. I have an appointment tomorrow for a check of my roof and estimate if needed. They are the best business i have come acorss in recent years as far as customer service and pride of their business.

We needed to make some roof repairs after a home inspection report and we looked into several companies. After talking with Becky their Office Manager I was knew this was the company to use. While discussing the issues, they pulled the house up on satellite and were discussing the project immediatel, even though it was a small job. They also came out and did a quote and made sure to inspect all areas of concern in the report. In the end, they came out in the afternoon, fixed only what was needed and billed us a very fair invoice for their labor. A side note is that this was an incredibly small job for them and unlike other companies we talked to, they quickly jumped on it, treated us like a valued customer from the first call.

The roof on the rear porch of my building was very old and had begun to fall apart. I contacted Maxim Roofing and explained that I needed a full roof tear out and replacement and would like an estimate. Their response was courteous and prompt. They provided an estimate that was well below the others that I had gotten, for the same work and they also advised that the porch roof would need new gutters, which they could do at an additional (and quite reasonable!) cost. Kevin at Maxim continually kept me apprised of the expected date to begin work, as their were rain delays. All in all, I am very pleased with Maxim Roofing and would absolutely use them again - VERY high quality work and service for a VERY good price.

I have had issues for years with blow offs of my shingles. Every time the wind blew...I had new problems on my roof. When I met the Maxim salesman out at my house, he mentioned that they could increase the nailing pattern on the back of the house to 'hurricane nail' it. The sales rep seemed very knowledgeable and understood my problems and concerns. When the crew arrived, I was pleased (and surprised) to see a 'local' crew made up of 'local' workers. The crew arrived on the scheduled date and were already aware of my issues (hurricane nailing) without me having to bring it to their attention. It was extremely windy the days they were working, and the crew was great about clean up. At the end of each day, aside from a dump truck in my driveway, you would not have even known that any work was going on. Very clean jobsite. I would highly recommend Maxim roofing to anyone and we are extremely happy and pleased with our new roof.

Timely. Courteous. Professional. Friendly. Only drawback: did not bring power source for one of their tools and had to finish the last little bit a week later, after snow had started. This seems to have had no significant impact on anything.

Becky in the office was quite friendly as always and helpful in setting up the original estimate. Kevin came out to do the estimate and afterwards volunteered to look around the roof to see if there were any problems. Maxim had put on our new roof two years previously. He noted some loose siding on the dormer and saw to it that it was repaired. In the mean time, he gave us several options for our gutter replacement. The new gutters and Leaf Relief were installed and afterwards Maxim worked with us to reposition one of the downspouts away from a trouble spot. The new gutters look great and work beautifully. We truly appreciate Maxim's expertise, responsiveness, and follow through.

Our garage roof was leaking. After the roof was patched and first big rain it appears that the leak has been fixed. Roofers were informative, courteous, and professional. They even took pictures of the problem with their cell phone and showed them to me. My only concern was that when I originally called the office the business assistant was going to have somebody call me back. I never did get a call. Suddenly the roofers appeared on the roof a number of weeks later. Like I said, it was good work but the communication could have been better.

Maxim did an excellent job, but forgot to install the "Leaf Relief Gutter Protection System" I requested. I called Maxim to ask why the gutter protection was not installed. I received an immediate response and an aplology. They had accidently overlooked my request. They were anxious to make things right, so they sent out a crew to put gutter protection on my home free of any charge. The overall experience was good. The staff was friendly and professional.

Loved the owners. They worked with the insurance company so I only had to pay a portion of the estimated costs due to confirmed wind damage. My roofing start date was unexpectedly delayed so I received the upgrade to 30 year shingles free of charge due to the inconvenience which was very nice. The crew was fast, but thorough. Very clean. I only found one nail after the job and it was in the flower bed so the magnet they used on the lawn did not grab it. Roof has been on over a year and still looks brand new.

Installation was complete within three days, clean up was done daily. The new shingles look great.

Everyone at Maxim was easy to work with. The salesman who came to give me an estimate was smart and thorough. He had answers to almost all of my questions and called back the next day with answers to the other questions. The office staff was always helpful when I called. Finally, the installation crew was friendly, professional, hard working, and careful about their work. Maxim was very flexible and they were able to start exactly on my requested start date. I did notice a math error, in my favor, on the estimate. I called Maxim to bring the math error to their attention and offered them the opportunity to increase the price to cover the error. They thanked me for my honesty but said that they would stick with the price as originally proposed. You certainly don't see that happen every day, or even very often, During the process of putting on the roof, the crew made a few suggestions, and I asked for a few changes, both of which I thought were changes large enough to increase the price of the job. But Maxim did not ask for any more money. Finally, near the end of the project, I asked for one more change that I suspected would take them over the hours that they had budgeted for my job. While the crew was doing the work, I called the Maxim office and explained the issue to them and said that I would certainly pay for the additional time they spent on the change. They called back and asked for payment for only a couple of hours of extra labor. I thought that it was a more-than-generous offer on their part. The bottom line for me is that I am absolutely certain that I made the right choice in selecting Maxim Roofing Co. as my roofing contractor. Nice local people, great workmanship, admirable ethics, more than fair prices...overall, an excellent experience unequalled in my over 40 years of having a variety of homes reroofed. I would use them again in half a heartbeat! So my final though is, why would anybody use anyone else for a roof job in the Greater Dayton area?

I was on vacation in Cape Coral Florida on Friday June 29, 2012, when I received a call on my cell phone from my next door neighbor. He informed me that we were hit with 80 to 90 MPH winds. The winds were very destructive and had severely damaged his roof and also mine. He had a representative from MAXIM roofing there and he mentioned that I had 20% to 25% of my shingles gone. Since there were more storms anticipate I asked him if he could temporarily tarp my roof to avoid further damage. He did and brought another employee over to help with this job. I understand from my neighbor that they were there until 9:30 PM. I truly appreciate that MAXIM roofing delayed their weekend to help a home owner who was over 1000 miles away. Needless to say, after I got back to my Tipp City home I received an estimation on what the cost would be to put on a new roof. They were extremely competitive and after working with my insurance company they got the contract. They did a wonderful job on putting a new roof onto my home (and my neighbors) . I was very impressed with their punctuality, their professionalism, their follow up in cleaning the area and their hard work in mid 90 degree temperatures. I also appreciate the fact that all of the individuals working at my home were native, home grown Daytonians, I know if there is a question or problem in the future, I can contact them since they are all local. I rate this company an A+ --an excellent job MAXIM roofing!

So far, their responsiveness in answering when I ask for an estimate and all the stuff that they've done so far has been fantastic. So far they've been extremely responsive, they got the estimate back within 24 hours. They were very clear about all the work that would be done. It was a well put together quote. I had another estimate from another company so I could compare them real easily. The office people answering the phones have always been pretty prompt. They did discount for paying with a check instead of credit. That's nice to have $300 off. For the estimates, they were right here when they said they were going to be here. I made an appointment. They exchanged cell phone numbers too, so if they need to contact us, then they could get a hold of us. They are very professional. They were really up front and honest with us. We were thinking we had hail damage, they were honest and said that hail had struck the roof but hail doesn't cause the kind of damage we had. They said if they were them, they wouldn't make a claim with the insurance company. They were just being honest. They went on to say that different insurance companies handle things differently, so they were really up front. They weren't trying to discourage us from putting an insurance claim in, but if it were them, they would just say the work is related to poor design and not to storm damage.

Everything went really well. They were very courteous, and they arrived on time and finished the job in a little over 5 hours and I am very pleased with the results!

They did good work and were on time. I was happy with the experience. They were on par with everyone else, price wise. I found them through Angie’s List. I spent about $1000 for their services. Their quality was high.

Overall, it's been over 4 weeks since I first contacted them about roofing repairs. They have not contacted me or stopped by to give an estimate on the work that needs to be done. Based on ratings on Angie's List, they must be good, but I'm finding it very difficult to get them to respond on a timely basis.

I looked at many companies and got 3 estimates that were pretty high along with conflicting advice on rubber roofing. When I spoke with Maxim Roofing I realized quickly, unlike the others, they were more knowledgeable and professional. They did the job right away and went the extra mile to ensure a grade A job. I recommend them without reservation!
